here are some risograph stromatolites I did for the Canadian Geographic! 

I did three sketches, and they chose the righthand one (with some alterations requested)

a bit ago I illustrated an article in The Walrus, and here’s the full process for anyone interested!

it was about feral peacocks that got dumped in this small town, and started breeding. there were two dumping events - the first was a mom and her chick (who went on the inbreed), and the other was three juveniles.

my first two ideas showed how the peacocks disrupted the town (perching in flower pots and blocking traffic), the next was a depiction of how one of the peacocks ended up eaten by a lynx, and the last two were family trees. The Walrus went with the ‘angelic’ tree, with Pearl the peacock surrounded by a string of pearls.

I illustrated the winter menu art for Demetres, and the double-sided billcards you get after finishing a meal. if you’re in the GTA, go check out a location in person (I promise the food is good, they gave me a gift card so that I could go try stuff out)

some exciting dinosaur news! my work is going to be featured in this Paleoart collection, alongside 19 other artists (some of whom are personal heroes of mine)! it’ll published by Bloomsbury in October 2022.

my stuff’s always been a bit odd compared to other working paleoartists, so I’m honestly delighted to be included

Hey! I'm not sure if you'd know anything about this- but you seem to be going down a similar path I hope to be on- so I thought I'd give it a shot! I'm an illustration student (art account is wizard-legs) and am hoping to get into paleoart. Though, I have no idea where to start? I love the dinoart you do, but in terms of research and getting involved in the actual scientific side of the field, I'm completely lost and feel like I need an actual background in science? How have you gone about it?

I actually get this question a LOT! it's a hard one to answer, because there's so much info to go over - but if multiple people are looking to go into this field, I could set up a discord voicechat to talk for 30-ish minutes and give a run-down.

the Fantasy Falconry enamel pin set was designed by @threeleggedgoat, who is on the path to get their own falcon, and is currently immersed in that scene! it’s been so neat seeing the different hood/glove ornamentation from around the world.

Finally, now being able to get frames after the whole pandemic thing (Australia is in a good position there folks) I can hang beautiful prints badly on the wall.
