Gross tmi: but i passed a pretty big clot after having my daughter. It was about the size of a baseball. It actually hurt worse because while 15 hours of labor opened my cervix, i passed the clot in 30 minutes. I knew it was a possibility because of my midwife and reading, but everyone Ive told after this (mostly other pregnant women) were shocked that this could happen.

In our culture, it’s much more common to do deep research about what family cars we want to buy than we do about childbirth when we ’re pregnant.

Tmi: I passed a huge clot after birth in the bathroom of my hospital room and called the nurse sobbing because I didn’t know it was normal. She treated me like an idiot, but NO ONE told me it was a possibility. And the pain associated with healing for the first couple of weeks after birth was worse than the labor imo. Again, I had no idea. They didn’t tell me a thing besides “sitz bath regularly and change your pads.” Before discharging me from the hospital.

GROSS WARNING

With my first son, my blood pressure was so bad I fainted in the shower after his birth.They wanted me to shower so I took a hot one and the change in temp caused my BP to plummet and I ended up on the ground, thankfully my ex-wife was with me and she caught me, laid my ass down on the ground and called the nurse. The nurse was like ok lets tuck her in bed this is whatever she good.

My other son I bled actively for 6 months so severely I had to wear diapers and became anemic(still am). I went to the doctors and bled allover the place and he acted like oh ok yeah thats not good but take this.

I also ended up with a huge uterus infection and was hospitalized for days(I cried all night in pain and staff was like, but it’s not time 4 ur pain meds, then they upped my pain meds and I went into a coma, ofcourse they gave me gas pills right before so I fucking farted so hard half asleep half awake,fucking kids in the room from the patient next to me, holy shit worst hospital stay of my life)

So after 10 years of unsure I have endometriosis+PCOS and it has taken this long to diagnose even tho I've been complaining about something being wrong for a decade
