Eve bit her lip a little as she felt his hand against her bare skin, leaning into him a little more as she pressed up on her toes to kiss him softly. “I didn’t know you as anything other than you. And that’s all I wanted was for you to be you” She trailed her lips lightly along his jaw. “You’re the best thing that’s ever happened to me…from the moment you walked into that coffee shop…’ She murmured softly as she pulled back to look up at him, giving up on holding the towel up and feeling it pool at her feet. 

Greyson returned the kiss before she spoke. “And that’s just one thing I liked about you when we met, is you had no idea who I was. You’d never heard of me before, and there I was just assuming you knew me like everyone else.” His eyes wide as the towel fell to the floor. He was always in surprise when she was vulnerable in front of him. Only because he enjoyed her body. “Still want that bath?” He asked as he slipped his boxer shorts off and climbed over the side of the bath so he was standing in the water, before lowering himself in.

Eve poked him lightly and shook her head as he pulled away to turn the water off before it got too full. “Why so you can go getting a big head about it” She raised a brow with a soft laugh. “Remember when we went to the aquarium with your family and everything…you spent more time watching me than the fish” She leaned into him as she felt his hand slipping behind the towel. “I knew then that you were different…that you were my person.”

“That’s exactly why.” He chuckled, placing a hand firmly on her bare bum underneath her towel. He smiled as he remembered that day in his head so clearly. Everyone was so happy and everyone had their own person and each other. They were all like one big family. Something he longed for again. “I do remember.” He nodded. “How could I not look at you and admire you. You were the first girl who paid attention to me, for me. You saw me for who I am. I knew falling in love with you was the best damn decision I ever made.”

Eve smiled as Grey turned around in her arms so he could face her. “You better make the most of this alone time” She teased lightly, toying with the back of his hair. A shiver ran up her spine, goosebumps rising on her skin as his hand moved slowly up her back and along her shoulder to her cheek. Leaning her head into his hand she pressed up one her toes to kiss him a little deeper. “Don’t let the tub overflow” She murmured against his lips with a laugh

Grey couldn’t help but laugh along with her. “I won’t let the tub overflow. But you are the best damn distraction there is. It’s a wonder anything ever gets done around here.” He pulled away with a grin on his lips and turned the tap off. “So you should uh, tell me more about how much you knew I was the one for you.” A cocky smile across his face, as he snuck a hand behind the towel that she was so desperately trying to keep up.

“We love you too” She smiled  as she turned her attention to Ophelia. “I’m sure you will” She laughed softly as she bounced the baby on her hip, making her way over to her changing table next. “Is that a real question?” She snorted softly, looking back over her shoulder to see him walking towards their bathroom again. Quickly dressing Ophelia and then placing her in the crib, turning her mobile on and waiting until she started to doze off before leaning over and kissing her forehead. Making her way back into the bathroom she smiled, walking up behind Grey and wrapping her arms around his waist, peppering a few kisses along his shoulder blades. “Now we can have some alone time”

Greyson smiled to himself as he felt Eve behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist. His smile grew wider as he felt her lips across his back. A slight nod from him at her remark. “We can.” He spoke as he turned himself around to face her. His hands finding their way to the small of her back, one hand resting just above her bum, the other making its way slowly and delicately up her back. He moved that same hand along her shoulder and up to her cheek where he stroked it and pulled her close to him for a kiss.

Eve wrinkled her nose a little, shaking her head as she felt her cheeks flushing. “Look at us now though” She adjusted Ophelia on her hip and bounced her a little. “Two beautiful girls and happier than ever” She ran her hand along his arm. “I think you’ll help me relax a lot more than just a bath” She nodded. “I’ll put her down and be in there in ten minutes” She winked as she turned toward Ophelia’s room.

“I love all my girls. Nova had been with her Mom for the week and Greyson had been missing her terribly.” He smiled at the soft touch of Eve’s hand on his arm. “I can certainly try and help you relax.” He grinned. “10 minutes? Got it. I’ll start the bath. Bubbles?” He questioned. “Bubbles.” A laugh as he turned in the opposite direction back to their bathroom. Starting the bath and plugging the bath, he poured some bubbles into the tub, before pulling off his shirt.

“I couldn’t believe that you would be interested in me “ She laughed softly as she looked up at him, studying his features. “We have…ups and downs..and more ups” She smiled as his lips met the top of her head before her attention turned to Ophelia. “And we made this perfect little bean” She said as she moved to scoop her up, blowing a raspberry on her belly. “Will you be joining me in the bath?” She turned and raised a brow at him, a smirk on her lips. 

“How could I not be interested in you? You’re stunning and genuine, not fake in any way.” Greyson rubbed the back of his neck sheepishly. “You mean I have my fuck ups and my issues more than anything.” Smiling as he heard Ophelia laugh from her tummy being blown on. “I can join you, yeah. Just thought you were trying to relax and wanted to be alone.” He spoke as he then paid attention to her raised brown and the smirk painted on her lips. “Oh.”

“I figured you would” She smiled before shaking her head a little. “That’s why I knew…because you made that effort to come in every day, just to talk to me” She wrapped her arms around his waist. “There’s no one else in this world I could see myself with….after everything we’ve been through together.” She rested her chin on his chest. “You’re my person” 

“It was easy to do, but honestly I felt like I was running out of excuses as to why I kept coming there until I finally told you.” He wrapped his arms around her as she wrapped herself around him. “We’ve been through a lot haven’t we? We’ll be together 2 years in December. You are the longest and best relationship I’ve had.” He murmured as he pressed his lips to the top of her head. “I really love you. Honestly reminscing about this is great.” A smile as he thought about everything and then looked down at Ophelia who was squirming in the towel. “You wanna dress her and I’ll run you a bath instead?”

“We’ll see…” She raised a brow, standing up as Grey wrapped Ophelia in a towel, leaning into kiss her forehead. “It will be, because it’ll be us and I’ll come out of it your wife, that’s all I really care about” She smiled a little, crossing her arms over her chest. “I knew when I met you that I wanted forever with you. And only you” 

“My wife.” Grey beamed. “I like the sound of that.” He spoke as he placed Ophelia on their bed. “You did? The tall weird, tattooed guy that kept coming in to your place of work to order a drink that I never really drank just so I could talk to you? You knew you wanted forever with that?” He laughed. “I knew from the first time I saw you that you were special.”

“Yeah it’s been a while” She laughed softly. “We’ve been busy. Time flies when you’re getting no sleep and caring for an infant” She snorted softly, running her fingers through his hair again as he turned his attention back to their daughter. “Mhm, just for you. And maybe if you’re lucky I’ll let you take it off me too” She teased. “Well…we still have a few months before the year is up…it doesn’t have to be anything major..just close friends and family.”

“Oh, boy!” He joked a little. “Maybe we can make another baby.” He teased, as he reached to pull Ophelia out of the bathtub, draping the towel over her and wrapping her up as best he could. “I want our wedding to be the best thing ever for you. You deserve it and way more.” He spoke as he stood in the doorway and turned back to look at Eve. “Did you ever think we’d ever be at this point in our lives together?”

Eve added some bubble to the water, tossing in a few of Ophelia’s toys as she sat on the side of the tub, watching with a soft sight of relief when she stopped fussing almost as soon as she hit the water. Reaching over to run her hand through Grey’s hair she smiled a little, shaking her head. “We’ve both been trying to adjust to all of this..it’s not all your fault, I’m just as guilty” She let her hand move to gently scratch his back. “I’d like that…we haven’t been out on a date since well before little miss here joined the party” She nodded. “And I fit back into most of my old dresses…well a few of them at least”

Grey leaned his head back so he could look up at Eve, his blue eyes focusing solely on hers. “Has it really been that long since we’ve been on a date? Holy shit. I’m slacking.” Another small laugh escaping his lips. “You’re gonna wear a dress for me? You remember my favorite, right?” A smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. He turned back to focus on washing Ophelia’s hair. “To think I could have been marrying you at the end of the year, I mean that’s when I wanted to anyway....”

“This whole thing is beyond saving.” Eve sighed a little, tucking her towel around her body before reaching out to carefully undo the bottom of the one piece. “Just toss it into the trash.” She shook her head. “I don’t wanna get in until she’s calmed down a little more” She frowned slightly as she moved to start the bath for her, running her hand under the water to check the temperature. “Once she’s settled and maybe napping.” She added, glancing back over her shoulder

“I’m sorry, Eve. I feel like shit, you’re supposed to be able to have time for yourself and here I am, unable to clean up our child without you...” A sigh emitting from Greyson’s lips. He tossed the outfit in the trash along with her dirty diaper and held Opehlia over the bath as he leant down outside the bathtub. He waited for Eve to signal that the water was the correct temperature before placing their daughter in the bath carefully. All the screaming stopped and she began cooing and kicking her legs as she hit the water. “Can we do a date night? Y’know just us? I feel like a shitty ass fiance lately, like you deserve better.” Grey mumbled as he washed Ophelia. “We were supposed to get married this year too and it’s all gone to shit...”

“I’m in the bathroom!” She called, poking her head out around the corner. “What’s going on, why’s Ophelia screaming like that?” She wrapped her towel tightly around herself. “I was going to get into the shower but if she’s screaming I don’t want t– oh no” She spotted the both of them, her eyes going wide. “How did that happen?” She flapped her hands a little. “Get her into the bathtub…out of those clothes” 

“Literal shit explosion, I’m telling ya.” Grey looked at Eve and pressed his lips together. “We were laying on the couch together and she literally went bright red and then there was this foul ass stench and i sit up and she’s covered in poop.” He laughed nervously as he held outstretched so that Eve could potentially undo the poppers of her onepiece. “You can shower babe, it’s okay.”

“Eeeeeveeeeee! Beautiful Momma. Where are you?” Greyson called out as he walked around the house holding up the daughter as if she was Simba. Her whole backside completely wet with spit up. A nervous laugh coming from Grey as Ophelia began to scream. “Yeah, if we don’t find Momma soon, I’m gonna scream like that too and it’s not socially acceptable when I do it.”

Eve never got tired of watching Grey and Ophelia interact with each other, her heart squeezing at the sight of them together, especially with her little giggles filling the air. “Time flies” She leaned over from her spot on the couch to kiss his cheek. “She’s already so big too, she’s going to be a giant like you and Nova” She ran her fingers through Grey’s unruly hair. 

A smile formed as Grey felt Eve’s lips on his cheek. “She’s chunky too, it’s cause she’s well fed.” He leaned his head back, his hands still holding onto Ophelia. “I thought she’d be tired by now but she’s wide awake. Such a happy, active girl too.” He turned back to look at Ophelia and lifted her up off the floor, holding her in the air, she giggled. “I’m never gonna get tired of hearing that.”

Grey was sat on the floor, with his legs apart and little Ophelia on the floor between them. He played with her little toes as she giggled. He turned his head to look at his fiance with a smile. “Can you believe our little girl is almost 1 month? Where the hell did the time go?”

“Well once Ophelia is a little bigger she can pull her around in it.” She smiled at the thought, knowing how excited Nova was to do anything related to her little sister. “You missed,” She pouted making a kissy face at him at the doorbell rang. “Pizza!” she grinned as he got up and went to retrieve their food. Once he placed the food down, Eve wasted no time in flipping the box open and grabbing a slice, groaning as she bit into it. “The Notebook” She smirked at him knowing she’d made him watch it a countless amount of times. 

Grey paused before he set a pillow down. “The Notebook, again?” He grinned and rolled his eyes playfully. He’d finished laying out the pillows, and then draped the remaining blankets over everything. “Our comfy nest is complete.” He announced as he got down on the floor and nestled himself in. With a turn, he grabbed a pizza box. “You joining me down here for snuggles?”
