Ok I had this thought while I was goofing off in class-

A friends to lovers where the two love interests are already like best friends at the start, did I mention it’s a high school au? Anyways they’re forced to be part of a play for school and they end up being the two love interest character. But from the beginning they don’t take it seriously and just goof off. The theater teacher tells them that whoever can make the most convincing performance out of the two will get $100 because theyre just so desperate to get them to cooperate. They take the deal and start to actually try- and end up making really convincing performances. Which is probably because one (or both) of them actually has feelings for the other but hasn’t said anything. Anyways I just imagine an end scene where they have an unscripted kiss and yea. I really want to read something like this
