Ignore my fat face and appreciate the fact that i just met James Arnold Taylor. [Voice of ratchet for you guys that dont know!!]
My convo with him was strictly based on his character Tidus. Because Tidus is my life.
But still relevent to this blog because also ratchet.
"And friend of yours, huh? What do they look like, kid?"
Grim has rolled out from beneath the ship and turns to the...human? Huh. Don't see those every day.
"I reckon I won't be much help on account'a I'm always in here, but maybe I've seen them."
“I’ve got about six customers ahead of ya. Might wanna come back tomorrow to beat the wait.”
Grim is on the underside of a ship, working delicately with detail paint over the spot he had just repaired.
“Unless you ain’t here for a repair, then feel free to tell me what ya want. I’m listenin’.”

What the actual hell is that.
It’s certainly not Ratchet, and by the looks of it, far too primitive to be a customer, either. Who is this? How did they end up here?
The massive Hunter seems to murmur something to herself, ears flicking lightly as she seems to think. There’s a lingering moment before she attempts to speak to the mechanic, but certainly not in a proper language. There’s a snort from her, but finally:
“Lohs? Lohs.”
Buried deep in accent, a proper word appears. ‘Lost.’ She’s lost.
“What in the name’a...?”
Grim gave the woman a once-over, though it was likely his confusion shined in his features. He couldn’t quite understand what she was saying at first, but after a few seconds of running it through his head, he might have had an idea.
“Lost? You’re lost?”
ugh. ratchet would rather wake up to anything other than that stupid wrench bashing against that stupid metal sheet from a ship.
he was extremely reluctant to get up. covering his ears and glaring at grim, he sat up in his bed, wearing a black tank top and blue shorts.
“ do you seriously have to do that? a little nudge to wake up wouldn’t hurt my ears, you know. ”
“Yeah, right, cause that’s worked all the hundreds of times I’ve tried it in the past.”
Grim surrenders his weapons for the time being, placing them down on his work bench as he waits impatiently for Ratchet to make it down to the ground level.
“Come on kid, I let ya sleep late today. Grab something to eat and then it’s off to work.”
GRIM LOSING HALF OF HIS ONE TUSK EITHER IN PROTECTION OF RATCHET OR FROM SOME DUMB THING RATCHET DID.
I favor him fighting someone off on Ratchet’s behalf but we all know the kid is capable of causing a catastrophe in a second. It could have completely been a freak accident.
Either way, it’s because of Ratchet.
First Meeting / Icebreakers
“Hi, I’m ______.”
“Oh fuck! Are you okay?”
“Crap! Sorry about that! Wasn’t looking where I was going. Here, I’ll get you a new jacket…”

It wasn’t often that customers admitted to what caused the damage to their ship, but this one was so wrecked that he simply had to know what did it.
“Please don’t tell me you were textin’ and flyin’.”

He hadn’t looked up from his computer just yet, pulling up the program to load a new customer into his system. He hadn’t stopped to think that maybe they needed something else aside from a ship repair.

He heard footsteps approach and paused in his work to look up and see if Ratchet had returned from the market yet, or if a new potential customer had walked in.
“Somethin’ I can help ya with?” He asked, wiping greasy hands down his work shirt.

Yep, Grim’s got a wrench and an old piece of metal siding from a ship they’d worked on a few days ago.
Aaaaand he’s banging the wrench against said piece of metal with intense determination. That little fur ball could sleep through a quake.
“Time to open up the garage.”
