I have a girlfriend and I love her more than anything ever what are some places I can go for lesbian merchandise and things like that?

Hey happy to hear about you happy relationship. I'm not really a pro at purchasing lesbian related merchandise. I like older books on feminism and lesbian history which I have mostly bought second hand at local book stores or on ebay. Etsy also has some nice items but there are also tons of lesbian creators and artists out there. I would start looking for them on Instagram and TikTok and support them if you can. Supporting other lesbians is really important to me and I think adds so much more sentimental value than pride merch from Target or Amazon. Good luck!

We're actually happily married for a few years now ! I need to get in the habit of coming back and posting my notes to her but honestly I started this account as a way to feel close when we started out long distance (of course we did, right?). I hate the cold of winter, but I find refuge in the night. Finally together after work and errands and life, I get to hold you close and keep you warm.

I wrap my arm around you and allow my hand to fall into what seems it's natural place. Right below your breast my fingers gently wrap around you and my thumb on your sternum. I am at your center and feel your every breath and move with it as our bodies feel align.

When I was younger I remember telling my best friend I didn't want to live past 30. Everyone seemed sad and boring and without passion.

Eventually that feeling changed and I looked to the future more and more. Now that we're married, I want to live a long life more than I ever had. The bad days are never as bad as they have been. The good days are made better. We make plans and work together and you hold me in a way that makes me feel your love seep in.

Sometimes I still can't believe I have a wife. I have a woman so strong and amazing that decided I was worth being with for the unforeseeable future. Sometimes I can't believe I get to see the woman that I used to have to drive hours for on weekends everyday. But all I know is that every day it gets better.

How do you know?

We are obsessed with knowing how the couples we see knew they had found their person. We ask newlyweds, grandparents with 50 years under their belts, friends, strangers, newly engaged acquaintances, and fictional characters on TV.

I think the answer will always be different. The tipping point where you go from thinking "I love you now" to deciding "I'll love you forever". For me, I knew around Thanksgiving the year we met. We couldn't spend the holidays together. We spent time right before though. I remember this Thanksgiving was like every other. It was a formality. A way to show our family could still get under one roof. A time to pretend we were closer with our cousins than we really were. We had good food and I guess that's why people would still come despite knowing some sort of fight was bound to break out. It always did. I remember thinking, "I can't stand doing this another year". I wanted you. I wanted to cuddle up on the couch with you. I wanted all the people around me to welcome you in like I saw them do for all the boyfriends and girlfriends of others. But I knew that would never happen. I knew. I hated that I knew, but it was without a doubt that I knew. And in that moment I chose. I chose that next year on the holidays I would spend them with you. I'd lose them all in exchange for you. And I'm so glad I did because now everyday is like a holiday. We spend time together just appreciating one another. I'm slowly learning to look forward to the holidays and new traditions to come. I love you and I choose you forever and always.

Thanksgiving

This is my first family gathering with you and it couldn't be better. You wanted to introduce me to the people who love you the most and I am so glad you felt comfortable doing so. You made me smile. You made me feel loved. And after you fell asleep on my lap, mom came over and said we were family and that it's stronger than blood. I nodded. She said that the universe brought you to her family and now it had brought her me as well. She said she was happy you found me. I'm happy too. I'm thankful for you. I'm thankful for the family we are growing, for the dogs we'll love and the pies we'll bake.

I started this blog almost a year ago. I had no clue what life had in store for me. But now my love and I are still together. We are living together (omg it's amazing and I am so extremy happy)! This blog has taken off and has 1,000 followers which I could not have imagined (the girlfriend did predict that it would be popular...always listen to your girl)!

Life has been great and this blog has helped me remember that love is more than noteworthy wether you are states away or in the next room. It has helped me re-spark my love for writing (although I know I am no expert). This blog wasn't made to gain followers or get reblogs, but somehow when I see people sharing my letter I know someone has found my words helpful, that maybe I am helping to spread love and express love. I think that is very special and I am excited to see what else the future holds for me!
