I dont super care about the controversy over Colleen Hoover rn (if it’s true then it’s a big problem but idk there’s a second layer to it about if it’s true) but what I do care about is the huge industry of cis white women writing spicy romances (not inherently bad) but then not bothering to include representation of any kind bc their audience is just cishet white women who secretly don’t care about representation and just act like they do but now they’re in a community of purely cishet white women so they don’t have to perform acceptance
