Amaze amaze amaze! Thank you all for filling out our forms—we’ve surpassed our initial expectations for responses and will be closing our Interest Check a week early! Additionally, our Mod Application has been officially closed as we have found the right candidate for the job—thank you to everyone who applied!

As a result of this, our entire timeline for the zine has been moved up––see our website for more details!

Lastly, we wanted to answer some FAQs from our Interest Check so far:

Q: Will any of the zine team be contributing work they made?

A: Yes, all moderators and staff will have the option to contribute a piece to the zine! However, this was factored in advance, so maximum contributor numbers displayed on our site reflect the open slots that will be available to applicants & guest invitees.

Q: Will there be a mailing list for when preorders go live?

A: This is a great idea, and we will make a form available for users to opt-in (and opt-out later if they wish) to be contacted when preorders go live!

Q: Do artists need to get paid? Will they be receiving a contributor copy of the zine?

A: As mentioned on our website, we have opted to go for-profit on this project. As for contributor copies; covering these ends up reducing the profits regardless, which is why we have chosen to make contributor copies opt-in. Every contributor will have the option to use a portion (or all) of their personal profits to order exactly how much merchandise they want (eg, 1 book & 2 mini prints, with production & shipping costs removed from their total share of the profit) and “cash out” the remainder (if any). However, we want to make it clear that we are not running this project with the expectation of heavily profiting; our team simply wants to create this as a passion project for the grocky that has connected us all, while trying our hardest to ensure contributors will get a covered copy of the zine!

Q: I live outside the USA; how will your team handle shipping?

A: Shipping labels will be calculated for purchasers at checkout, where you will be able to see the cost to ship to your country. As we are producing a large zine with optional merch add-ons, please be aware this will increase the shipping costs outside of the USA.
