Her arms and legs feel like they have weights tied to them, if she could she would probably fall through the mattress with how heavy they are, like she’s a victim of fucking Freddy Krueger or some shit. And this is why she hates taking meds, sure her head doesn’t really hurt anymore, but she feels like she’s moving through custard or oobleck and God she feels bad. She would rather suffer through agony than be stuck in bed feeling useless, like she could actually be doing something good if she didn’t pussy out and take the meds.

Baran learns about how bad she is with taking care of herself, and working hard to make it easier for Trinity. She will feed her food that’s easy on her stomach, press the pill she hates into her mouth, praise her as she swallows it down with cold water and manoeuvres her to lie down in her lap. She will run her fingers through Trinity’s hair until the meds kick in and the pain subsides and her limbs begin to grow heavy. Baran makes sure to take good care of Trinity when the heaviness hits, squeezing her arms and legs to help ease the weighted feeling, makes sure she eats and drinks regularly.

The weighted feeling and Baran’s hands all over her, and the fuzziness remaining from the pain lets Trinity be soft and pliant in a way she usually struggles to be, lets her fall into a headspace of softness and insane desire, the want to be taken care of and controlled. It isn’t long before she’s begging Baran to fuck her, to touch her more, to kiss her, to love her. She doesn’t have the energy or strength to reciprocate at the moment, but Baran will never pass up the opportunity to fuck her girl.

I find BarSantos compelling not because it’d be easy or super likely but because the idea that Trinity, this mysterious young spitfire r2, stealing all of Baran’s attention and driving her so crazy she can’t stop herself from going against the professionalism and workplace boundaries that she’s been so cautious with until Trinity is soo attractive. Baran having this burning desire to pick her apart, figure her out and take care of her in a way only Baran can. Wanting to earn Trinity’s respect and admiration in a way she hasn’t with anyone in years.

Trinity not knowing how to respond to Baran cause she’s so different from everyone else, and she resents that at first, but maybe she hates it because she needs it, and deep down appreciates it. Trinity fighting her on everything, testing her, and Baran responding patiently but stern, unshakeable, and it does something to Trinity she doesn’t know how to handle. She can’t stop thinking about Baran’s reliable temperament, the few but genuine compliments she gave Trinity, the way she has her keen eye poised on everyone and everything, at all times, the way that gaze sends shivers up her back in a way so different from Garcia’s.

Just, Trinity and Baran pressing each other’s buttons, pushing and pulling and testing until something gives, and that something being the sexual tension that had been rising since their first, tumultuous shift.
