He’s so interesting as a character because it’s shown how aware he is of the people and pokemon around him and how they feel. how he really thinks deeply about the things that others say to him and figuring out what his own feelings are, where he wants to go and what he wants to do. there’s a lot going on under the surface and it’s fun to think about what’s hidden in there and how his environment has shaped him. he cares a lot about how others see him.

also his pokemas quotes are insane. examples under the cut

1) outright asking if you think he’s a good person. not pictured is his philosophical spiel after about the concepts of good and bad

2) pinning his ideals on the perspectives of others

3) they definitely thought he was going to kill himself. hau I’m also worried about you
