I started this blog as a way to archive and keep track of different pieces of Pokémon art that could be printed out and put in binders to be displayed alongside my Pokémon cards.
Feel free to request/suggest specific Pokémon to be posted, and I will do my best to find some art of them. Completed requested can be found here.
The art found here is from a few different sources:
Posts from Pokémon social media accounts
Pokémon Center merchandise
Cards and packaging from the TCG and TCG Pocket
Anime settei sheets
Illustration contest enteries
Game screenshots
Anime screenshot
Fan art*
To filter the blog by art type, check out this directory.
Continue reading below the cut for more information and some other Pokémon art resources!
* The fan art shared here comes from two places: (1) fan art made by illustrators that have created art for the TCG and/or Pokémon Center merchandise, and (2) fan art from posts where the artists have specifically specified what Creative Commons license they are sharing it under AND they specify that non-commercial use and distribution with attribution is allowed. If your art has been posted here and you no longer wish for it to be shared under those conditions, please reach out so I can delete the post.
A note about unknown artists: some posts from Pokémon social media accounts, Pokémon Center merchandise, etc. don't list the artist. Some attempts to track down the artist are successful, and others aren't. When posting this art, I specify that the artist is unknown. If you see art tagged as "unknown artist," but you recognize the artist, please let me know!! I'd love to give proper credit wherever possible.
I created a Pokémon Settei Sheet Resource Guide which you can find here. While may of the sheets are already posted on here, this resource has links to webpages where you can track down the sheets for specific Pokémon.
Other Pokémon Art Resources:
Art of Pokémon - A Pokémon archive website with artwork from a variety of sources. Some fan art has also been uploaded there, but I am uncertain of the use restrictions around that art, so I'd recommend asking the artists directly before printing for your binder.
HiResPokémon / @hirespokemon - An account that scans, restores, and posts official Pokémon art. A particularly great source for vintage Pokémon art.
Pokéos Art Archive - A website with an archive of Pokémon art. They have a high-quality collection of art from various illustration contests along with some other assorted art. It's also worth looking at their card catalogue as they have high-quality copies of art from the TCG Pocket app.
I will add other resources as I encounter them! I hope these help you on your Pokémon binder creating journey!
I bought the Swablu full art card before it shot up in price (and because it's super cute), and afterwards, I realized there were actually a lot of full art cards with flocks of birds and got the idea to make a page themed around them.
I thought I'd share the art I used for them like I did with my Hisui page and make these sort of posts into their own thing so that other people can use what I've done as inspirations and a resource to find art around a specific theme!
