Hello! I was looking through the zine (amazing work from everyone btw!) but I will admit, I was disappointed to see the lack of African countries/cryptids depicted in this zine. Was there any reason why Africa was not included?

Hello! Thank you for the kind words!

We are also disappointed to have not be able to include any African cryptids in our journey, as our goal with having an international focus was to include as many countries/cultures as possible. Every cryptid in our zine was worked on by someone from that country/culture to ensure authenticity and respect, and unfortunately we did not receive any applications for any countries/cryptids within Africa despite sharing posts for applications across multiple different social medias. We apologize if the exclusion seemed intentional or jarring.

We do hope gravity falls fans from any African cultures may feel inspired by this project and create their own cryptic entries, as it's always fantastic seeing more cultures represented in this style!

Hi! I really like the Sea Grunkles International Cryptids Zine! I have a question but i dont know if it's kind of like spoiler or something. It's about those symbols:

None of the GF cryptograms have it. I like decoding the messages that are spread on the zine, but i can't find a way for this. Could you help me please?

Hello! Sorry for such a delayed response to your inquiry.

This is an original new code by our talented codemasters. A key to crack it is in the zine itself (Hint: it is Stanford's code.)

If you still struggled with it, they are putting together an extra key for this, and we hope to release it as soon as it's done!

There are some minor fixes/updates to the zine, as we have come across some issues we missed while checking the work.

Hiiii! I was wondering if everything was alright, as the official release date for the project was yesterday and there hasn't been a new post :)

Hello! Our mod team appreciates your concern, and a thousand apologies for the worry! We are experiencing a small delay, but nothing we can't handle with a little bit more time.

Our new release date is November 14th. It will definitely be worth the wait!

Do you guys see the light flickering? I’m pretty sure it’s nothing, like it’s probably just a glitch or something.

But, like, Dipper’s been obsessed trying to figure out if it’s some sort of big mystery!! (I think it's because we don't have a lot of those here in Piedmont)

So, I’m asking you guys: am I right? Is it just a glitch?? Or… if someone out there is, like, a SUPER detective and can figure it out, maybe tag me and I’ll tell Dipper all about it!!!
