Synchronicities lined up to where I could actually draw today.
Maybe I can actually get some requests out of the way before the holidays...

FINALLY IT FREAKIN LET ME UPLOAD.
Have a Sonic-style moth FC.
Hey I’m still alive btw
Since the end of June I had a bunch of professional- and medical-related stuff come up and essentially keep me away from just sitting down and drawing anything, plus I had to deal with what looked like an organized spam strike on my inbox that I had to sift through to find the three (3) legit requests I got and block everything else. Maybe I can get back to drawing soon and I hope I can at least fill those few requests by the end of the month. x.x
Draconic? I’ve been working on it. Still trying to hammer out the story.
You get a free request.
My conditions:
1) It must be Sonic only, or Sonic and one other Classic universe character. (Since Knuckles seems to know Mighty in the SMP trailer I’d go as far as to count the pre-Modern Chaotix as Classic universe.)
2) Sonic can be in any of his forms, even Werehog, but he’ll be drawn in his Classic proportions.
3) Pencil sketch, no colors or inks.
4) SFW only.
5) You have until the end of the day on June 23 wherever you live to drop your request in my askbox.
6) I will try to get a stream set up where I draw them live, but if I can’t get it to work, I’ll just scan the day’s work every evening and post it.
7) Please just make me DRAW
...and here’s even MORE dragonhog. Basically I just discovered the rest of my manga pens and am currently working on figuring them all out.
Plus a Mado for @madomadotsuki.
Oh, I learned something today. The guy’s voice you hear in the Time Attack parts of Sonic Mania is the same guy who did vocals for stuff like Daytona USA and also these two songs way back in the day.
And some more dragonhog... trying to break past that blank-page-of-death phobia I got going.
He tends to be moping a lot in most of my doodles. There’s a reason for that, and some Sonic fans might already have an idea as to why, but I’ll have to explain when we get past that bit.

I'm also thinking about setting up simple commissions through Ko-Fi.
For $3 you would get a simple sketch of something. I'd like to set it up where I could run a live stream where I drew these commissions, but I'm still figuring out Twitch and whether or not I need to look for a new webcam in order to use it, plus how to rig it up.
I'll do some research and post an update on this later.
What’s up, Knuckles?
Somethin’ buggin’ you?
alone on a friday night?
Commissions are now OPEN!
Inks Only: $15
Inks + Prismacolors: $20
What You'll Get: All commissions will result in a digital scan of the artwork produced. Depending on the range of colors I have available (which I am steadily collecting), the result may be slightly off-color from your pre-established model, if one exists. I typically put scanned images through digital imaging adjustments in order to reach a desirable brightness, contrast, or sharpness in the final product to bring it as close to the model as possible.
Conditions: I can easily crank out a Sonic- or Pokémon-related commission, but I can also draw pretty much anything else with a good reference. What I won't draw is anything NSFW, explicit or implied. Any OCs within those parameters are welcome. Please allow me at least a week to complete your commission; if I find that I will require more time, I will contact you with the details.
Payment: I handle payments for commissions through Paypal invoices, which requires a valid email address for the recipient.
Remember that I also do commissions for physical art cards and custom badges through my Etsy shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/whitegryphon
Still interested? Drop me a message!
Hi there, its good to hear that you're back...! How's your health lately...?
Thanks for asking, I’m feeling pretty good! :)
Guess who’s got two really sore thumbs AND just beat Sonic Mania?
sad dragonhog pokes at a rock
Old animation project in Flash that I never finished. The rest of the story would have turned out essentially like the mirror scene in Generations.
Repost of some old Depthcharge art from my personal blog, mentioning Marine’s involvement in the story. This was originally from 2012. Since then I’ve rewritten a good bit of the story, but Marine is still a major character in it.
“The title for this particular story was Sonic Depthcharge, since I was running on the theme of Sonic series titles. Along the way, Sonic is assisted by some of his old friends, including Marine the Raccoon, who in the time since Rush Adventure has become an expert on boatbuilding, as well as skilled in her special power of hydrokinesis (what I thought she was using in that final boss cutscene in SRA). She’s also calmed down a bit, and takes time to plan things through, though she still spouts out Australian slang like it’s going out of style. Oi! Marine is brought to Sonic’s world as a result of a transdimensional energy wave from the power which initially transforms Sonic into Riptide Sonic.“
Repost of Depthcharge art from personal. This appears to be a reveal I made in 2012 or so.
“Sometime a couple years ago I came up with this idea for a story where Sonic had to save an underwater world and therefore acquire a water-based superform. Originally I was going through various ideas for a Storybook Series title and this one featured the sunken city of Atlantis, but then I realized that Atlantis wasn’t a part of any faerie tales and didn’t really have a story associated with it. So I decided to mold this story around the format of games like Sonic Unleashed, which had Sonic traveling around the world trying to right another of Eggman’s wrongs, while simultaneously battling an ancient monster awoken from millenia of rest. However, the key places in this global trek are all underwater, which normally poses a major problem for Sonic as he does not swim nor breathe water. Near the start of the story, though, this problem is solved for him in the form of a forced transformation into a marine fishlike being… or at least, a partial transformation. At the moment, he was lacking all of the “equipment” necessary to facilitate a full change, which allowed him to keep his hedgehog legs, as well as roughly his original body shape; however, not only is he able to swim, he is able to move super-fast through the water, just as if he were running on land (without the actual running motion, though), and not only can he breathe underwater, but he can also survive crushing depths and see clearly in the deep, dark areas where sunlight cannot penetrate. He also has sharp, pointed teeth like a shark, poisonous barbs like a lionfish, and the ability to shock foes like an electric eel. Unfortunately for Sonic, the marine superform comes as a curse as well as a blessing. He cannot stay out of the water in this form for very long, as he cannot breathe air. Also, his favorite food, chili dogs, become toxic to him; upon discovering a taste for sushi, he finds he can thrive on that instead. Finally, he eventually discovers that certain things which normally would give him a power boost in his normal form, end up causing terrible reactions if he interacts with them while in his fish-form. This superform is known as Riptide Sonic.“
