Diya’s brows scrunched together in confusion. What was happening here? He was trying to push her away again, and for a time, she allowed him the advantage. The Guardian was even able to take a few steps before realization hit her, and she spun on her heels once more. “You’re doing it again. You’re pushing me away. What the hell, Logan?” The question was posed with both of her arms raised midway. She took a pause to regain her composure before shooting another query his way. “We’re never going to talk about this, are we?”
Logan ran his hands over his face in frustration. He was so tired of arguing with Diya. All he wanted was to be left alone. “I told you we could talk about it. And we will.” He thought about touching her in some way -- a kiss on the forehead to show her he wasn’t a cold, lying bastard -- but he didn’t want to encourage her in any way. “Can’t I just take some time to think about it? It’s only been like two days, and---” He lowered his eyes so he wouldn’t have to look at her. “---I’m just not ready to decide anything.”
