Ohhh I knew this question would pop up at some point 🤭 tbh I think Maxiel is cute as hell and Daniel’s friendship and warmth was so integral to Max’s formative years in the paddock. Their dynamic is so funny and engaging and I think Max genuinely considered Daniel his friend, even outside of F1.

That being said—

I am a Lestappen truther and in my mind the Maxiel dynamic provides such delicious fodder for jealousy, misunderstandings, and a hyper possessive Charles who’ll go feral to claim his Maxie and make sure this dumb blue-eyed Dutchman knows that no one gets to kiss or touch Max except him!! 😡♥️

I actually can’t believe I haven’t included more of Daniel in my fics and drabbles?? 😭 Like the prospect of Max cheating on him with seductive Ferrari princess Charles is just deliciously toxic AND if you consider Max not wanting to hurt Danny so Charles takes it upon himself to homewreck that relationship to hell 😭🙈

But it could also be a sweet hurt/comfort AU where Max and Daniel get married and they’re blissfully happy with their newborn daughter and everything is roses…until Daniel gets into a car accident and dies. Max is inconsolable and grief stricken but knows he has to keep going for his and Daniel’s little girl. He honestly figures he’ll spend the rest of his life alone because Daniel was his one and only…right?

Enter Charles Leclerc. The young librarian who Max and Danny’s baby girl latches onto and simply won’t let go. Lovely, kind Charles who helps Max out when the frazzled dad is late picking up his daughter from the library’s story time hour and sees her sitting on a beautiful brunt’s lap, one tiny hand on an open storybook.

It’s a slow burn—a romance built on healing, trust, and new beginnings. Because the closer he and Charles become, the more light and beauty flood Max’s life until one day, he wakes up to see that everything is golden.

Ahhh so many good possibilities with injecting Maxiel into Lestappen because who doesn’t love to see Jealous!Charles or a broken Max who heals because a certain Monegasque menace gradually claims his heart? 🤗

Because he doesn't listen to music for himself. But his boyfriend/husband listens to music all the time.

From pop to heavy rock, music to suit the Daniel's mood. It's not Max's choice, if he had the opportunity, he would only listen to the sounds of his games. But his boyfriend/husband is constantly listening to music and dancing around the house.
