i was thinking about this last night, like, what would charlotteās reason be for calling wren to tell him anything in the first place?
like, a. we donāt know for sure that charlotte told him melissa buried bethany, that was just what hanna assumed and mel, classic, didnāt confirm nor deny just gave a face and continued on
b. it was somewhat implied A, who was charlotte, didnāt know about mel burying beth, mel was so secretive about that and charlotte as A seemed to think multiple times that spencer was the one responsible. we then found out that it was mona who hit bethany, so itās also possible charlotte thought it was mona if mona had mentioned that to charlotte in radley or s/t at some point
c. charlotte calling wren mainly tells us they were in cahoots probably, whether they worked together or not, or how long they may have. but if charlotte was healing after the game ended and called wren, it could be possible there was an alternative conversation happening that lead to wren leaving melissa from his own motivation rather than something charlotte said
d. if charlotte did call wren to tell him about bethany, like, why, you know? like picture that, charlotte deciding one day to call wren long distance in london out of the blue, years after the fact (presumably at least four considering hanna was probably out of school by the time she was attending london fashion week,) to be like oh, by the way, your girlfriend buried bethany young, just thought you should know
like, why wait so long? and what would the point of that be? unless something had happened that made charlotte feel like she had to break them up. i donāt know, like am i overanalyzing this? because itās confusing to me? like why charlotte would even care at that point and what would make her feel like she needed to tell wren, when her obsession didnāt ever lie with anyone other than the liars/mona. she didnāt seem to care about anyone elses secrets unless they domino affected the liars, and at that point there would be no reason
even if that was just to show us that wren and charlotte were involved at some point, i again have to bring up why charlotte would have waited to so long idk
