While I’m letting the tale seduce me, I feel so conflicted about the season so far. There are some great scenes/performances, and the concept + themes are fun, but the writing/dialogue is sometimes too on the nose, and this GabriellA OC is 🤨 Since iwtv was a loose adaptation as well, I’m trying to temper my expectations and be open-minded about their vision/choices, but she’s just not as compelling as Gabrielle and I’m confused about her motivations and purpose in the story other than being an antagonist/romantic rival(?) or “explain” Lestat's behaviour. Every other character seems to be given more grace/layers.

This ep was the best so far though.
