Made this post as a criticism of how people tie their identity to consumerism (problem for all groups) - and how that manifests in the trans community. And how if you don’t participate in this culture of constant spending and buying it can feel isolating.

And there’s quite a few people in the notes going “yeah puppygirls am I right?” . Which has me very confused because I don’t think that’s the same actually. Someone buying a bunch of shark plushies or energy drinks or other massed produced products because they consider the fact they buy certain things a core part of their personality is not the same as some girl being silly online or roleplaying.

I think some of y’all missed the point entirely.

The logic of these devices being "allowed" on the sidewalk, whether they've found a technical legal loophole for it or not, is complete nonsense.

Motorized vehicles aren't allowed on the sidewalk. The sidewalk is for pedestrians. Power chair users are considered pedestrians by specific exemption (and for good reason - that is a single human, using the most minimally disruptive means of locomotion available to them.)

This thing isn't a pedestrian. It's a miniaturized delivery van. They should be banned from the sidewalk. They might already be in most places under existing laws, and nobody is enforcing it.

I know it's more nuanced than this but I think having a hard policy of thinking anyone who genuinely hates one group of queer people for their identity might as well hate all of us and thus I should block any queerphobic queer person I see can do a lot to save you from believing anything exclusionists say.

Just block these people the second they pop up, they aren't your allies and nothing they have to say is worth listening to.

Lux Claridge was yanked out of a chair by three police officers and carried out of the Emporia City Commission meeting on July 22 for seemingly disobeying the mayor’s orders regarding clapping against the controversial Flint Hills Digital Campus data center proposed in Emporia, Kansas, the Emporia Police said.
