Terms like larp and pick me need to be taken away from mainstream media. They’re almost always used in misogynistic contexts. Saw this poor girl who didn’t look any older than 16 saying she’s really gotten into football and might start watching club and comments were full of people saying please don’t or that larpers will ruin it too.

Literally. Like the whole Haaland and Sorloth controversy where people were saying he was jealous then some random men started saying that the girls are just drama obsessed? You need literally two brain cells to be able to figure out that someone not passing to a striker then saying the only difference between them is that he’s “more experienced” screams jealousy. What do you think the players all think of each other as only players and nothing else?? It’s so stupid. And this is coming from someone who watches club football too. They’re not mad that more people like football. They’re mad because most women would rather have a fun time and mourn the loss of memes of their fav player rather than send them death threats when they lose.
