Junodef - GOLD OFFICIAL VIDEO
samara-rivas:
Samara always prepared herself for the worst, knowing that not everyone she meant was as welcoming to company. She’d taken a chance on Cilla though, considering so far every interaction they’d had together had been a pleasant one. Relief swept over Sam once she was offered a seat and the other woman seemed at least touched by the gifted cider. “I’m sorry if I startled you or anything. I have a tendency sometimes to just pop up and hope I don’t get shooed away,” she mused lightheartedly. Brown eyes flickered toward the rink before back to her steaming cup. Carefully, Samara took a sip. The deliciousness of apple and clove warmed all her insides, and batted off a bit of the wintry cold as well. “Are you much of a skater?” She asked, hoping to start a casual chat.
Cilla was quite appreciative of the cider that had been offered to her. While she thrived in colder weather, she did have to admit the evening was the sort of cold that cut right through you. Having the warm cider was quite welcomed, especially as its heat radiated through her gloves. Taking a sip, she savored its crisp flavors before turning her head to face Samara as the other woman spoke up. “I used to skate all the time as a child.” She began, masking her emotions as such thoughts led to painful memories. “There was a lake not far from where I lived in Göteborg that would freeze over every winter.” There was more the Swede could say about the topic of skating; but she left her words at that, not wanting to risk letting any unwanted emotions leak out.
zehra-a:
Zehra found herself hanging onto Cilla’s every word as she began telling her about her new relationship with Winnie. It was so endearing to hear the other woman sound so giddy and happy as she expressed how she and Winnie had gotten together and true to fashion–Zehra was ecstatic for her friend. “That’s so good! I’m so happy for both of you guys,” she told her with a bright smile. “Aww your girlfriend, I love that. Ahh—love during the winter season is always pretty incredible.” Zehra acted as if she was speaking from experience but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Still–the idea of walking down the street, light snow falling and two people huddled together–it was romantic in a sense. Still she gave the other a grin and nodded, “I’m so happy for you both, really…this lunch is definitely my treat more than ever now. We can celebrate your new relationship status,” she giggled before taking another sip from her milkshake.
“If you are paying this time, you must let me treat you next time.” That would only be fair. Cilla wasn’t the type to usually allow others to treat her. She never felt like she deserved it and always felt like she had to make it up to the other person somehow. So if Zehra insisted on treating her to lunch this time in celebration of her new relationship status, then the brunette would 100% be treating her friend next time the two went out to lunch... Which was something she felt they should try and do more often. She always enjoyed catching up with Zehra. The woman was easy to talk to; and she didn’t hate her company. “I have never been what you call a ‘romantic’; but I must admit winter has this thing about it that is perfect for romance... We, uh, we went skating in Rockefeller Center and to see the tree.” She recalled the basic details of her and Winnie’s first proper date. “It was... magical.”
mafia-fixation:
At first Alek wasn’t sure if he should take the nickname as a slight, but when Cilla explained it further, it made better sense. “As long as you don’t think I look like a frog, then I’m happy!” He made a scrunched face with his nose and then stuck out his tongue at her in playful jest. She was having way too much fun thinking about dressing him up for the celebration. “As long as it’s tasteful you have my blessing,” he said, hoping he wouldn’t regret those words later on.
Placing the food down on the counter, he then gestured for Cilla to follow him to the elevator. Once there he hit the button on the wall and waited for the doors to open. “After you, älskling syster,” he extended his hand for her to enter so he could follow suit. “Third floor,” he told the elevator attendant who pressed the number 3 inside. Turning toward Cilla he asked, “Any other plans today? I hope the family is overworking you too hard.”
“Nej. You look nothing like a frog.” Cilla playfully waved him off before sticking her tongue out in return. She loved how relaxed Alek made her feel, loved that they could joke around and poke fun at one another. The banter with her hedersbror was one of her favorite things about joining the Mikhailov Mafia and moving to NYC. “I should get that in writing... Just in case.” She added with a playful wink, the smirk curling up at the corners of her lips. Whatever attire she put together for him for Midsommar would, of course, be tasteful. It would be closer to traditional than anything ridiculous some people tried to get away with nowadays. The brunette Swede had always felt honoring traditions to be best when celebrating such festivities.
Following Alek in the direction of the elevator, she waited for him to press the button, rocking on her heels as she then waited for the doors to open. Once they did, she gave him a soft nod and made her way inside, moving to stand off to the side so there’d be plenty of room for him. “Today? Uh, нет. No plans. Viktor asked me pick up some things for him; but that can be done any day this week. And you know me... I will wait to do it until the very last minute.” For the most part, Cilla was rather punctual about the errands she was asked to run; but when it came to Viktor—the man who had saved her and Mika from the streets of Saint Petersburg—she was a lot more lax about things, mainly because she knew he didn’t mind. He’d let her know if something was time sensitive; but he tended to not ask her for such favors very often.
mafia-fixation:
“Stor groda?” He tried to repeat in his best pronunciation. “Do I want to know what this means?” He let out a light laugh, shaking his head from side to side in amusement. It was just like Cilla to procure some nickname for him and in Swedish, of course. Cocking his head to the side he tried to figure out what she was saying in regards to a midsommarkrans. While he enjoyed the idea of her making him things, he needed to know more details. A light laugh emitted from the Russian at the mention of a flower crown. “Do you think I could rock one?” He asked, figuring he’d look rather silly in one. The idea of blue did appeal to his tastes, along with the mention of a shirt—so maybe he could trust her with this arrangement. “Because I know glögg is your favorite of course!” Alek wouldn’t soon forget that tidbit for anything. Besides, he too did enjoy it on occasion, even if it was a little too sweet for his taste buds. “So is that a yes? Want to head to the bar and grille on the third floor?” He took another bite from the food on the plate, not wanting it to go to waste.
“Ja.” Cilla nodded. “Stor groda.” She repeated, the words slowed down slightly as she wanted Alek to learn their pronunciation. She had a feeling the little nickname was going to stick... at least through Midsommar. “Big frog... Since you know we sing the song about all the little frogs; but you are not little.” She explained her reasoning behind the nickname, a soft chuckle escaping her lips. “I think you will look very handsome in a midsommarkrans. They look good on everyone.” Then again, the brunette did have some bias as she absolutely adored flower crowns. They’d been her favorite part of the summer festival since she was a little girl.
As Alek exclaimed that he thought glögg was her favorite, Cilla couldn’t help but let out another soft chuckle. While the festive mulled wine was rather delicious, it was by no means the Swede’s favorite. Top 5, yes. But it was #5 on that list. She wouldn’t tell Alek that, though. He seemed so proud of himself. “да. That is very much a yes.” The day she turned down alcohol would be the day she’d need to be committed... again.
I can tell, you’re a sᴜʀᴠɪᴠᴏʀ
When you’re sᴄᴀʀᴇᴅ, your hands 𝖙𝖜𝖎𝖙𝖈𝖍 And your shoulders 𝖙𝖊𝖓𝖘𝖊
But your eyes… It doesn’t show in your eyes. That’s how I can tell, Those eyes have seen things.
zehra-a:
Zehra could feel her cheeks flaming up and it wasn’t from what Cilla had said because Zehra was pretty comfortable with that, but it was more that she hadn’t had the knowledge beforehand. Still she found herself chuckling at her friend when she said she was ‘craving tacos’ now. “I’m sure you are,” she grinned before taking another sip of her cold milkshake to help her cheeks get back to normal color again. “Ahhh what, I need details! When did this happen? And more importantly tell me all about her.” She loved seeing the people she cared about happy and Cilla was definitely no exception to that. The grin on that others face was making Zehra quite happy and she couldn’t wait to hear everything that Cilla was comfortable with sharing.
Taking a nice long sip of her coffee, Cilla’s smile just widened as Zehra asked for details. She’d not gotten the chance to tell many people about her new relationship; and while she wasn’t exactly itching to share details—as she’d always been more of a private person—she was actually looking forward to getting to share some thing with her friend. “So you know my friend Winnie? Well she moved in with me and Mika a few weeks ago; and, uh, it is kinda hard to hide a crush when you start sharing a bed with them...” She began, eyes trailing away momentarily as she mused over the words to say. She knew her cheeks were probably starting to go red. That always happened when she’d mention her long-time crush/now girlfriend. “She kissed me goodbye on accident one morning; and we, uh, we kinda admitted our feelings after that.” More than feelings. They’d admitted they’d been in love with one another for years but were both too scared to risk potentially ruining their friendship. “And now she is my flickvän. My girlfriend.” She left it at that. Everything else that had happened between her and Winnie and on the kitchen counter was very much private.
zehra-a:
Zehra almost felt embarrassed when she realized Cilla was laughing at her ignorance which had her pouting, “stop laughing and tell me!” It wasn’t often she was caught off guard like this and unaware about something but clearly this was something the other thought was funny. But no, her friend had to stretch out the awkwardness Zehra felt as she took a sip from her coffee which had Zehra waiting impatiently the entire time. It was only when she finally came out and said it, she had to laugh before she just shook her head, “I’m honestly tempted to even ask why ‘taco’ is slang for that? I mean–I can kind of get it, but that’s ruining tacos for me now,” she retorted with a laugh before shaking his head. “I’m going to work on forgetting that you taught me this, deal?”
Cilla shrugged off the statement that her sharing the knowledge of what ‘taco’ was slang for was beginning to ruin the food for Zehra. Instead, she just shook her head as a soft chuckle once more escaped her lips. “I think I have decided on the taco burger... Since now I am really craving tacos.” The smirk curled up at the corners of her lips. Messing with her fellow solider in this moment felt too easy. And she could very much use the amusement. “Guess it’s a good thing I have a girlfriend now.” She and her roommate/best friend—Winnie—had finally admitted their feelings for one another; and the brunette Swede couldn’t be happier. Finally getting laid probably had something to do with that too.
mafia-fixation:
Alek had only been teasing. He knew if she had had a party, she would have invited him straight away. Still, the amount of food she had saved for him was more than he could eat in a sitting or two. It did beg the question why she had such an abundance left. “Clearly—but I’m not complaining,” he smiled appreciatively and continued to eat more of the different food on the plate. Good thing he didn’t have dinner yet. “I promise you I would as long as you don’t film me doing that dance,” he cracked a smile, remembering how silly they both looked practicing it. Alek even remembered the Swedish song that went along with it thanks for Cilla’s monotonous singing of it. It was near impossible to say no to her, not wanting to ever see disappointment fill her eyes because of him. “Will you help me pick out a special outfit for it? I want to look the part.” His smile couldn’t stop beaming as the tune played in his head. “Mmmm,” he said after swallowing down another morsel, “then in that case let’s head to the bar and grille on the third floor. We can sip some Swedish glögg and pretend to be talking business,” he winked.
“I will be far too drunk to know how to work a camera... You are safe, stor groda.” Cilla gave the Mikhailov boss a cheeky little grin, amused by the nickname she’d just thought up for him for when Midsommar rolled around. Her smile managed to widen even further as she perked up upon hearing Alek’s question of whether she’d help him pick out a special outfit... Her mind was already swirling with the ways she could take that, all the ridiculous outfits she could concoct for him. “Can I make you a midsommarkrans?” She inquired, pausing for a moment to do the mental translation and figure out the best English term for what she meant. “A flower crown? I promise it will be pretty. I can find little blue flowers to match the blue shirt I’ll get for you...” Oh she was going to have far too much fun with this. After all, Midsommar was her second favorite holiday. If Alek was really going to partake in the festivities, she was going to ensure they were authentic. “How did you know I brought glögg too?” The smile was still spread upon her face as she cocked her head to the side, looking at her favorite Mikhailov. She just so happened to have an unopened bottle of glögg in her bag she planned on giving him in addition to the food; but she’d not gotten there yet. “Vänta. Det är jag... I love booze.” Though she’d much rather indulge in something stronger—like Akvavit.
zehra-a:
Zehra’s milkshake had arrived along with Cilla’s black coffee and water with lemon and so she took a sip of it before looking back at Cilla and chuckling when she realized she’d said the word the other had been hunting for. “I am pleased to be your dictionary,” she laughed before she caught the other still going through to decide what she wanted to get. “That sounds good,” she told the other when she said she’d been leaning towards the taco burger. However it was the mention of a joke that had caught Zehra’s attention and had her almost feeling a bit dim. “What–joke? I don’t get it, or maybe I’ve just never heard it before?” Zehra thought she kept up with new things around this side of the world pretty well but most aspects of social media and memes and such just–didn’t interest her.
Cilla couldn’t help another chuckle from escaping her lips as it appeared Zehra didn’t understand her joke. For a moment, she thought about just brushing it off and telling her friend to look up what ‘taco’ meant in slang, instead opting to take a long sip of her cup of coffee as she mused over whether or not to just come out and say it. It wasn’t that she felt awkward about explaining the stupid little joke to Zehra. It was more she didn’t want anyone looking at her funny if they overheard her choice of wording. One of the things she hated most in life was people staring at her. She thrived in the shadows and wished to stay there. Fortunately, the booth they were sat at wasn’t really near any other tables that seemed occupied at the moment; so the chances of anyone overhearing her and giving her a weird look was slim. Placing her mug of coffee back on the table she gave her friend a small smirk. “Taco is slang... For pussy.”
zehra-a:
Zehra mentally congratulated herself for picking a place that Cilla clearly was enjoying and so when she asked the question–the other’s response just solidified her reaction. When Cilla started explaining what she liked, she heard her say atmosphere and then nodded at the words, “do you mean…the ambience?” Zehra hadn’t really noticed this place having an ambience, usually only giving that word to fancier places but perhaps Cilla was onto something. “Oh believe me, you’ll be back here often again–it’s hard to not want to try just about everything. Oh and, he comes up with new things monthly so–believe me, you’ll be an addict in no time.” At Cilla’s question, she had to nod before giving the other a shrug, “I haven’t had the cowboy one, but I did love the taco one, I got it on a black bean patty so that it kept that Mexican taste a little bit more. Are those the two you’re debating between? I can tell you the taco one is truly incredible.”
“Ja! Ambiance!” That was the word she’d been looking for. Cilla’s face lit up as she made a mental note of the word. Since it was one she hardly ever used, she wanted to try and ensure it wouldn’t escape her mind the next time it came up. Attention shifting back to the menu, she began scanning over everything else that looked so damn incredible. From the looks of it, this restaurant would be perfect for right after an intense workout or whenever she decided to get so high she could barely function. She’d certainly be back. Glancing back up as Zehra questioned her two burger choices, she merely nodded. “I think I’m leaning more towards the taco burger.” Since it had been where her eye had fallen first when she’d begun scanning the menu, she figured maybe that meant it was the one she should try. Plus Zehra confirming it was incredible was all she needed. “I mean, I love tacos; so why not?” A moment after the words left her lips, she couldn’t help but chuckle as she shook her head. “Not a gay joke...” Okay... Maybe it was a gay joke, in afterthought only.
mafia-fixation:
“I can always eat, especially when it’s something you’ve made,” he smiled and took the tray from her, looking at the various options to pick from. She really had made a lot of food, which made him ask, “Did you have a holiday party and not invite me?” His brows arched and his smile turned into a smirk. Picking up one of the deviled eggs—his favorite—he popped the whole thing into his mouth and slowly chewed it to savor its flavor. “Mmmm,” was all he could mumble for a few seconds until it was completely swallowed down. “Want to head to the hotel café for a drink, or must you be somewhere else?” Despite his busy schedule he could clear some time for her. His next meeting wasn’t for another hour and a half.
“I would never host a holiday party and not invite min hedersbror.” Cilla was almost offended he’d even think she’d do such a thing. He was family; and if she ever threw any sort of party, family would be the first people on her list. That meant him. “Yule is just my favorite holiday—well after Samhain and Midsommar—so I, uh, you know I go overboard.” A soft chuckle escaped her lips as she bounced on her heels where she stood. While there was so much about this time of year she truly loathed, celebrating Yule and Advent made it tolerable. “Also speaking of Midsommar... Will you finally join me at the celebration in Central Park next year? Do the little frog dance I taught you?” Her grin was from ear to ear as she looked over at Alek, giving him her biggest and best puppy dog eyes. “Oh I will always make time for drinks with you. I have nowhere to be unless there is somewhere you need me to be.” Without any errands currently in her schedule, she was free and very much enjoying that time as it didn’t happen enough anymore.
zehra-a:
When Zehra asked what Cilla thought of the place, it wasn’t just to make polite conversation. No, she was deeply interested because she felt like one of Cilla’s best qualities was that she was also honest with her words and that was refreshing to Zehra. Especially in a city where a lot of people used false pretences to get what they wanted. When the other explained what she liked, Zehra nodded, mentally patting herself on the back for picking a place her friends genuinely liked. “I know what you mean, and the service here is so personable, and that’s one of the other main draws I find. Like watch–Jeff knows what you prefer and so the next time you ever come back, he’ll remember that and purposely suggest things he believed you’ll enjoy.”
Despite having not even ordered her meal yet or gotten to try the curly fries Zehra had ordered for her, Cilla had a strong feeling she’d come back to this restaurant. The fact this place was so open and honest about allergen information warmed her heart, made her feel safe to eat there. Plus she’d been eying about half the menu. There were these nachos under the appetizers section that looked absolutely divine! She’d come back solely for the opportunity to try them. “I can see myself coming here again.” She admitted. “I really like the—” She paused as the word she wanted escaped her. “—it’s like atmosfär. Atmosphere... But the other ‘a’ one.” She meant the restaurant’s ambiance. “Plus I cannot decide which burger I want... I will need to come back just to get the one I don’t get today. Have you had the taco burger before? Or the cowboy burger?” Maybe Zehra had tried one or both and could offer more input onto which she could ultimately choose.
