☆ Hi!! This is an OOC post to introduce myself; you can call me Chaos, and I'll be running this silly little Guernsey blog!! This intro was last updated: 4/1/2025

☆ Guernsey has come to be a beloved fortnite skin to me, and while I don't know much lore wise, I'll be doing my best!! I will also be using my own headcanons, and wouldn't like any forced upon me

☆ Speaking of headcanons, I figured it was time for an official list of a couple main ones!! So, here is that list:

Guernsey/Joey lives in Lego (technically) on a farm!! Hayseed (Jameson) and Sunflower (Winona) are married and his landlords!! He does farm chores for them in place of rent.

Joey/Guernsey has vitiligo! Its visible in his pfp, but there is more unseen on the rest of him.

A follow up to the one above; Guernsey has memory issues! Big memory issues!! He can't remember anything/anyone from before being abducted by aliens, including who he used to be. He will never cleary remember anything from that time, including who he was, ever again due to the reason below.

Guernsey's name before was Joey Jones; and thanks to curses, they have become fairly separate people. Physically identical, down to the fine details, but mentally different; Joey always remembers everything, and Guernsey remembers the abduction and the life he made afterwards.

Being Joey was an Agent Jones, spent time in the IO, and briefly had a family; his wife was a Disco Tek Manic, and his daughter was a Syd/Cuddle team leader!! He had a son too; Joseph, who's model is Cloudbreaker.

Guernsey has a mini highland cow named Noodle, who is his emotional support animal, and a bunny name Nutmeg!

Due to a curse a while back, Guernsey's onesie acts as a seklie skin, almost!! He can turn into a cow fully, and gets stuck that way for 24 hours. He usually forgets a lot of what happened in his cow state.

☆ I'd prefer interactions to stay SFW, just because that's what I'm most comfortable with at the moment!

☆ OOC posts like this one will be tagged as such, and all in character posts will have the moo tag; for silly goofs. The Moo? tag is being retired for now, but Joey Coms is now a permanent a tag, being paired with the new Brotherly Presence tag!! Both in character tags, Brotherly Presence, and Joey Coms for.. Joey!! Guernsey will still be moo :)

☆ As a differing feature, so the two can be told apart, Joey will be speaking in this font from now on!!

*It was a quiet evening at the farm. Guernsey's hands shook as he sat with Joey, carefully helping him sip some hot chocolate. Joey was more absent minded today, seeming half asleep almost, but Guernsey was still beyond afraid. When the cup was empty, he sat with Joey quietly, a tear rolling down his cheek as he mumbled,*

I hope you get better soon, Joey.. I feel so bad for her. For-

*He stopped talking mid sentence, having looked up at Joey as he spoke, and whatever colour was left in his face drained. The look in his eyes was murderous.*

Who are you referring to? Are you referring to my Roxanne? My wife? What have you done to her?! YOU'RE TRYING TO TAKE HER FROM ME, ARENT YOU?! WE'RE SUPPOSED TO ASCEND TOGETHER!!

*Guernsey stood rapidly, stepping back as the chair fell over behind him.*

N-No!! Joey no, I- Your wife, she- I- was referring to-

I'LL KILL YOU!! I'LL KILL YOU IF I FIND OUT YOU SO MUCH AS WENT NEAR HER!! YOU'RE NOTHING BUT A DOPPELGANGER!! NO ONE WOULD MISS YOU, NO ONE WOULD EVEN NOTICE YOU WERE FUCKING GONE!!

*The rage in Joey's voice alone was enough to drive him to tears, but the threat to hurt him? After what happened in the garage? He couldn't take it. He ran from the room, sobbing so hard he almost tripped down the stairs from his vision blurring. He felt hard on the couch, his face buried in his hands as he sobbed.*

*He felt like he was failing.. Failing Syd, failing Joey, failing his cows.. He was failing everyone, himself included.*

I'm so sorry..

*Guernsey stepped through the rift into Golden Grove, his eyes puffy and wet. As he took the time to read through Joey's letters, the storm sickness had begun to spread to his livestock, and it was a horrible thing for him to watch. It affected his animals differently then Joey, but he had been shedding a lot of tears over their condition; and Joey's too, for that matter.*

*But he'd read things within Joey's letters; he knew this was where he needed to be. He knew he could ask for help here, so be carefully began looking around.*

Your majesty? I'm sorry to drop by unannounced, but I've got something important to talk to you about!!

[All of the Empress' Guard knew Guernsey by sight since Joey's visits to Lost Lake, so the moment he was spotted on the grounds, calling for the Empress, one of the Guard immediately approached and gently escorted Guernsey to the main hall where the Empress was seated.

The Empress herself was rather surprised to see Guernsey outside of his farm, and the fear the poor man's eyes held concerned her.

First thing first, however, she stepped away from the seat that served as her throne here and took Guernsey's hands with a smile.]

Well met, sweet prince. To what do I owe your sudden visit? How may the River Guard aid you?

[guernseythecow]

*Guernsey quietly thanked the guard before The Empress approched, but when she did, she had his full attention. He sniffled softly, giving her a small smile in return. It was good to see her, even under such circumstances.*

Somethings happened, your majesty.. to Joey.

He has storm sickness, really bad storm sickness; at least, thats that Venge told me. I had to call him to help me, cause Joey was being mean and scary. And now its not just him thats sick, its my girls- my cows are sick too, and-

*He had to pause, fresh tears starting to stream down his cheeks as he looked down towards The Empress' shoes. He knew it was rude not to look at someone while he talked, but it was hard to keep eye contact with tears fogged eyes.*

Joey's letters.. The ones he got from you. They mentioned Kendo. I read he did a lot of good for the island, and I.. I was wondering if he could help me help Joey and my girls; if you'd help me ask for his help.

Storm sickness?...

[Feeling her heart drop into her stomach, the Empress controlled her features so as not to add stress to poor Guernsey.

Letting him catch his breath so he could speak, she gently brushed away the tears streaming down Guernsey's face, but her mind was only half listening.

Her friend was in trouble, and it wasn't safe for her to go to him. Indeed, Guernsey had no idea how much danger he'd just put himself in by coming here, what with the "Visitor" watching her.

The Guard's medic, Caspian, was just passing through with some supplies, and the Empress caught his arm.]

Fetch me our young prince, Caspian, and return with him when you do. I have need of you.

[As Caspian vanished in search of Kendo, the Empress rested a hand on Guernsey's shoulder.]

Breathe, dear one. Kendo is on his way. Whatever can be done, I know he will do to the utmost.

I believe you.. its just been- really, really hard.

*Guernsey tried to take deep breathes, but sobs exploded from his throat. He'd had quiet moments of tears frequently, forcing himself to stay busy to look for help.. look for anything that might help his brother and cows, but-*

*He was falling apart and terrified. He has his cows to worry about, his brother to worry about.. and even knowing Joey was sick, he's.. he's still afraid of his brother. He hates to admit that to himself, but he is scared of his brother; scared he will be yelled at or hurt again, even if Joey wouldn't even dream of hurting him in his right mind.*

I'm sorry, your majesty.. I- I'm trying to breathe, I promise.

*His apology came out shaky as he tried to dry his tears with his sleeve, trying to compose himself. He didn't cry very often, but times like now, he cries as hard as his body can take.*

I know, dear prince... I understand completely.

[The Empress guided Guernsey to a seat, gently helping him down and letting him lean on her to cry. It took a good bit for him to get back to breathing normally, but eventually the sobbing slowed.

Caspian would be back soon with Kendo, so the window she had was short, but for his safety she had to take it. As soon as he was stable enough to listen, the Empress set a chair across from Guernsey, taking his hands in hers and making him look at her.]

You are very brave to have come here for help, and I will give it. But I need you to give me a promise in return, dear one.

This Island is extremely dangerous at the moment. You are far too precious to be risked. I need your promise that once you leave to return home, you will not set foot on this Island again until I or Commander Jones tells you that it is safe. You, Joey, and Syd must all remain in your reality until the danger is passed.

[She pressed his hands softly.]

Do I have your word?

Dangerous?..

*Guernsey stared a moment, processing her words. Joey had been.. right? Even in his delusional state? He thought for another short moment, but nodded.*

I promise.. I'll stay back home after this. And I'll make sure Syd and Joey do too.

*He wondered what was so dangerous on the island.. What he was supposed to be hiding from. He hoped everyone would be okay, if it was something so dangerous he was being made promise to stay away. He couldn't worry about that on top of everything else right now, however.. Or, he shouldn't; he might anyway.*

Are.. You, going to be okay, your majesty? You still have that champion guy to protect you, right? To protect you from.. whatever is so dangerous here?

Thank you, sweet prince.

[A sigh of relief was cut short at Guernsey's question concerning her Champion.

Truthfully, even Eugene couldn't know at this point if he could keep her safe. Not from Geno. But Guernsey could never be told that.

Sometimes the responsibility of the crown - and of a friend - required good acting. The Empress smiled gently, not a trace of the apprehension she felt visible even in her eyes.]

Of course, dear one. My Champion will defend me. But we cannot defend you here, so you must return home.

[This lie made her sick to her stomach, but it was necessary. He had to believe she would be safe, or he would fret himself to death over what he could not affect.

Ah, but here came two sets of footsteps, the stride and fall matching Caspian and Kendo. The Empress stood, setting the chair aside once more, but not releasing Guernsey's hand. He might fly apart without a sense of connection.]

*Kendo gave a polite bow in greeting.*

Hello mother, Caspian told me that you summoned me?

*Seeing their guest, he smiled broadly and gave another bow.*

Oh! Hello to you as well, Guernsey! It is always a pleasure to see you!

[empress-mizuki]

[The Empress smiled fondly. Her son was forgetting again that he should only bow to her now. Years of habit and lesser status were difficult to break.]

It seems your name is spreading among those who require aid, my son. Guernsey is here to seek a warrior's blade to protect his family, and came to search for you specifically.

[She pressed Guernsey's hand gently.]

Go on, dear one. Tell him what has happened.

Oh! Your highness.

*Guernsey stood and bowed back to Kendo, before sitting back down; he isn't terribly knowledgeable about imperial royalty, or, royalty in general despite his "prince of the underworld" status he gained when adopted; a status he never truly saw himself at. He wasn't sure why Kendo had bowed to him or The Empress.. He's just a guy in his mind still! And The Empress is his mom!!*

*Either way, he took a small breathe and began to explain.*

My brother, Joey, and the cows on my farm are getting sick; storm sickness. Mrs. Sunflower says she thinks its because of the Storm King, and.. I need someone to talk to him, and ask him to stop making my brother and animals sick.

Mrs. Sunflower said someone should "defeat" him, but I think that means kill him, and.. If that has to happen, I need it to, but I don't-

*He began to trail off, his lip quivering a little. His heart is a gentle one; violence never seems like a good solution, and he hates that he has to consider it this time. He wants his brother, niece and animals to be safe.. He wants Sunflower and Hayseed safe, he just- Hates knowing someone may die for it, even if that someone is evil.*

The Storm King?

*Kendo had had several encounters recently that had made him aware of this entity, and what he knew of the Storm King, it wasn't good. Beyond the praises Haylee gave about him being a good dad, one only needed to look at Corascana to see the true horror beyond the name.*

*He would not let Guernsey's brother suffer the same fate as Corascana had, not if he could help it. Besides, he was always up for a quest!*

Mother, with your permission, I would like to leave immediately. I know of several friends who have knowledge of the Storm King, and would be able to greatly aid me in this.

*He thought for another moment.*

In regards to your brother, Guernsey, please pick up a good supply of various chocolate products before you return. The darker the better, though you may use your discretion in that regard. Consuming chocolate helps mitigate the effects of possession, and can help buy him some time while we undertake this quest.

[empress-mizuki]

The chocolate I can provide. Caspian?

[The young medic bowed at his Empress' address.]

You will accompany Guernsey with the provisions, and will care for Joey as well as can be done while our prince handles this request.

[The last thing the Empress wanted was Guernsey running around trying to find chocolate with Geno on the Island.

Looking at her son now, the Empress gave an approving nod.]

Find the aid you require, my son, and go. Save our friend, and bring honor to your name.

*Guernsey's eyes lit, fresh tears pooling in them; ones of relief, this time. He'd have help.. Someone was coming to fix things.*

Thank you, your highness; and thank you too, your majesty..

*He rubbed at his eyes a little more, assuring to make a mental note; chocolate.. lots of chocolate for Joey. He hoped Joey wasn't too far gone to eat.. But hot cocoa may assist with that issue if so. He turned his focus to The Empress entirely,*

I don't know what I'd have done without you or your sons help.. I don't think I'll ever be truly able to repay either of you for this.

[Syd had been staying so often at the Monastery, Master Wu had added her to the chore roster. Not that she minded, but it definitely threw her late in getting home today in time to celebrate Father's Day with her dad.

At least, she had planned to celebrate. The farm, normally bright and full of lively sounds, was dark and foreboding. The only sounds seemed sickly, and Syd smelled something terrible in the air.]

... Dad?...

[She ran for the house and threw open the door, squeaking in fear as a curved silver blade shimmered millimeters from her throat. The owner of the blade, a masked man in blue and black, withdrew the blade with a silent bow of apology, and Syd darted around him to her father's bedroom, coming face to face with a frightened Guernsey.]

Guernsey!! Oh stars, what happened?! Who is that guy?! Where's Dad??

*Guernsey had made a frightened yelp when the masked man's sword outstretched towards Syd, but he calmed when when the sword was withdrawn. His breathe shook, his eyes still wet from tears that were still slipping down his cheeks.*

This is Mr. Caspian, Syd.. He's from the river guard. Her majesty sent him to help with your dad, he-

He's sick, Syd.. Storm sickness. He was over working himself, and I didn't see the signs fast enough- He attacked me, attacked Venge worse when I had to text him and ask for help, I-

*Sobs began to escape,*

I'm so sorry, Syd.. He's upstairs, he's strapped to his bed so he doesn't hurt anyone else.. You can still see him, but.. He isn't in his right mind.

Th-the River Guard?? Here?! But-

[Those were the people that woman who'd found her and helped her take care of her dad came from.

Her dad was sick.]

DAD!!

[Syd bolted for the bedroom, but that same silver blade blocked her path, though this time only by the flat instead of the edge. The hooded man, Caspian, shook his head.]

I apologize, miss, but it is not safe.

That is my DAD in there! Let me through or I'll GET THROUGH!

[Syd took the martial stance the Ninja had been teaching her, but it didn't seem necessary. Without a word, Caspian moved his blade, stepping out of her way to head upstairs.

The sight that greeted Syd as she opened the bedroom door was a morbid one. Joey lay on his bed, strapped securely to the frame. His eyes were fixated on something in the sky outside his window, and seemed to be both tinged in purple and faintly yellow.]

Oh stars... Oh stars, Dad, what happened?...

[guernseythecow]

*Guernsey ran up after her, but he didn't follow her in. He was too afraid to follow her in. He glanced at Caspian, before looking back at Syd. He knew it was pointless to try keeping her away from him, but.. they'd be there if it got dangerous.*

*Joey didn't respond to Syd's voice right away, his eyes fixated on the star he was admiring.. mumbling softly before he seemd to notice he was being spoken to. He turned to look at her, but his eyes were.. almost hallow. They were still full of lightning, but hallow of anything akin to emotion. His mouth twisted into a smile, however.*

The stars whisper about you.. They say you have charts to them. They say I should bring you with me as a guide. They won't tell me your name. They call you Star Daughter.

*Its.. clear his mind is gone. The storm sickness has a strong hold upon his mind, stronger then even Guernsey realized.*

[The stars... whispered about her?

Syd was torn between warring thoughts. She'd always felt like the stars were looking back at her when she charted them, but whispering about her? Star Daughter?

Part of her wanted it to be true. But most of her feared her father had simply lost his mind to whatever sickness had taken him.]

Syd... Dad... My name is Syd! You named me!

This is distressing to witness, but you must remain as calm as you are able, miss.

[Caspian stood behind her, almost seeming unaffected.]

What can be done is being done. He needs as little agitation as possible.

What's being done, then?!

[Syd turned on both Caspian and Guernsey, her fear feeding into anger. She wasn't shouting, as she didn't want to frighten Guernsey further, or spark some sort of reaction from her father, but she needed answers!]

Syd.. I see..

*Joey nodded, mumbling her name some more as his eyes turned back to the window. The stars seemed to have more of his attention then anything else in the room, including the yelling.*

*Guernsey's lip quivered, trying so hard to fight back tears. While Joey leaving him took memories that weren't his, the memories from when Syd first arrived.. Her discomfort.. He didn't want that to happen again. He was scared he'd lose his niece for this, so he was trying to be brave; trying not to break down.*

Mrs. Sunflower said defeating the Storm King would help.. So I asked The Empress' son to help. He's.. He's going to help, Syd.. He'll do what needs to be done about the Storm King, and- And I'm sure everything will go back to normal!!

*His voice cracked a bit; he wanted so badly to believe what he was saying.. But fear still kept him held tight.*

[All of the Empress' Guard knew Guernsey by sight since Joey's visits to Lost Lake, so the moment he was spotted on the grounds, calling for the Empress, one of the Guard immediately approached and gently escorted Guernsey to the main hall where the Empress was seated.

The Empress herself was rather surprised to see Guernsey outside of his farm, and the fear the poor man's eyes held concerned her.

First thing first, however, she stepped away from the seat that served as her throne here and took Guernsey's hands with a smile.]

Well met, sweet prince. To what do I owe your sudden visit? How may the River Guard aid you?

He has storm sickness, really bad storm sickness; at least, thats that Venge told me. I had to call him to help me, cause Joey was being mean and scary. And now its not just him thats sick, its my girls- my cows are sick too, and-

*He had to pause, fresh tears starting to stream down his cheeks as he looked down towards The Empress' shoes. He knew it was rude not to look at someone while he talked, but it was hard to keep eye contact with tears fogged eyes.*

Joey's letters.. The ones he got from you. They mentioned Kendo. I read he did a lot of good for the island, and I.. I was wondering if he could help me help Joey and my girls; if you'd help me ask for his help.

[Feeling her heart drop into her stomach, the Empress controlled her features so as not to add stress to poor Guernsey.

Letting him catch his breath so he could speak, she gently brushed away the tears streaming down Guernsey's face, but her mind was only half listening.

Her friend was in trouble, and it wasn't safe for her to go to him. Indeed, Guernsey had no idea how much danger he'd just put himself in by coming here, what with the "Visitor" watching her.

The Guard's medic, Caspian, was just passing through with some supplies, and the Empress caught his arm.]

Fetch me our young prince, Caspian, and return with him when you do. I have need of you.

[As Caspian vanished in search of Kendo, the Empress rested a hand on Guernsey's shoulder.]

Breathe, dear one. Kendo is on his way. Whatever can be done, I know he will do to the utmost.

Caspian would be back soon with Kendo, so the window she had was short, but for his safety she had to take it. As soon as he was stable enough to listen, the Empress set a chair across from Guernsey, taking his hands in hers and making him look at her.]

You are very brave to have come here for help, and I will give it. But I need you to give me a promise in return, dear one.

This Island is extremely dangerous at the moment. You are far too precious to be risked. I need your promise that once you leave to return home, you will not set foot on this Island again until I or Commander Jones tells you that it is safe. You, Joey, and Syd must all remain in your reality until the danger is passed.

*Guernsey stared a moment, processing her words. Joey had been.. right? Even in his delusional state? He thought for another short moment, but nodded.*

*He wondered what was so dangerous on the island.. What he was supposed to be hiding from. He hoped everyone would be okay, if it was something so dangerous he was being made promise to stay away. He couldn't worry about that on top of everything else right now, however.. Or, he shouldn't; he might anyway.*

Are.. You, going to be okay, your majesty? You still have that champion guy to protect you, right? To protect you from.. whatever is so dangerous here?

[Syd had been staying so often at the Monastery, Master Wu had added her to the chore roster. Not that she minded, but it definitely threw her late in getting home today in time to celebrate Father's Day with her dad.

At least, she had planned to celebrate. The farm, normally bright and full of lively sounds, was dark and foreboding. The only sounds seemed sickly, and Syd smelled something terrible in the air.]

[She ran for the house and threw open the door, squeaking in fear as a curved silver blade shimmered millimeters from her throat. The owner of the blade, a masked man in blue and black, withdrew the blade with a silent bow of apology, and Syd darted around him to her father's bedroom, coming face to face with a frightened Guernsey.]

Guernsey!! Oh stars, what happened?! Who is that guy?! Where's Dad??

*Guernsey had made a frightened yelp when the masked man's sword outstretched towards Syd, but he calmed when when the sword was withdrawn. His breathe shook, his eyes still wet from tears that were still slipping down his cheeks.*

This is Mr. Caspian, Syd.. He's from the river guard. Her majesty sent him to help with your dad, he-

[Syd bolted for the bedroom, but that same silver blade blocked her path, though this time only by the flat instead of the edge. The hooded man, Caspian, shook his head.]

I apologize, miss, but it is not safe.

That is my DAD in there! Let me through or I'll GET THROUGH!

[Syd took the martial stance the Ninja had been teaching her, but it didn't seem necessary. Without a word, Caspian moved his blade, stepping out of her way to head upstairs.

The sight that greeted Syd as she opened the bedroom door was a morbid one. Joey lay on his bed, strapped securely to the frame. His eyes were fixated on something in the sky outside his window, and seemed to be both tinged in purple and faintly yellow.]

Oh stars... Oh stars, Dad, what happened?...

*Guernsey ran up after her, but he didn't follow her in. He was too afraid to follow her in. He glanced at Caspian, before looking back at Syd. He knew it was pointless to try keeping her away from him, but.. they'd be there if it got dangerous.*

*Joey didn't respond to Syd's voice right away, his eyes fixated on the star he was admiring.. mumbling softly before he seemd to notice he was being spoken to. He turned to look at her, but his eyes were.. almost hallow. They were still full of lightning, but hallow of anything akin to emotion. His mouth twisted into a smile, however.*

The stars whisper about you.. They say you have charts to them. They say I should bring you with me as a guide. They won't tell me your name. They call you Star Daughter.

*Its.. clear his mind is gone. The storm sickness has a strong hold upon his mind, stronger then even Guernsey realized.*

*Guernsey was preparing to leave Golden Grove. He had Caspian the Riverguard go through the rift first, insisting he needed to be the last one through, as it closed after him. As he prepared to leave, he felt a small weight on his leg, and looked down, noticing a small sprite..*

Hm? Hello, little one!!

*Guernsey smiled softly, picking up the little gummy sprite and holding it.*

Well aren't you cute?

*He stood there another few moments, when he turned and noticed what he could only assume was a looper running straight for him. With a panicked noise, he vanished through his rift, and the small sprite ended up at home with him. He hummed thoughtfully,*

Well.. I suppose this is your home now.. if you don't mind. You'll be happy here, I promise.

*He listened to the sprites happy babbles, laughing softly to himself as he went to drop the new baby off with Noodle. He had to hurry and set the little one down so he could get back to Caspian.. and Joey.*

*When @vengeance-jones-fn said "soon", he always meant "soon". After leaving a message to his sister about him having to deal with an urgent family matter, he grabbed Jones' rift gun to rift himself to the farm once more. His outfit was simple, a simple hoodie and sporty pants to appear as calm as possible in the eyes of Joey. His shades were also changed, now sporting a clear-lens pair, which was taking a moment for Venge to get used with given his scopophobia, but he would have managed. Everything to make Joey feel at ease.

Holstering the rift gun to the garter around his thigh, he entered the farm, immediately spotting Guernsey and approaching.*

Hey, anything happened while I was rifting here?

*Guernsey was pacing outside Joey's house, outside the garage door. The garage WAS his office, and he was too scared to open this door.. but when Venge arrived, he immediately moved and hugged his brother.*

No.. Nothing. The office sounds so quiet, I can't hear him moving around, so I assume he's at his desk..

Will you be okay if I hide in my barn for this? Give you thd opener then go? I-

*Guernsey trailed off.*

..I'm not usually this nervous. I like to help, but, I- I don't want to be here if something happens. I want to be able to help you both, but I don't want to watch it start.

*Guernsey spent a few moments just.. Enjoying how safe he felt in his brothers arms before pulling away. He handed Venge the grage door opener, smiling nervously.*

*Once Venge had what he needed, he RAN back to his barn. Guernsey was always very fast moving, but this was fast even for him; it was clear Joey's state had definitely given him a proper fright; Guernsey wasn't an easy scare.*

*He watched Guernsey speed inside the barn, he seemed really scared. He almost wished he was brought to the farm on that day Guernsey said Joey had grabbed him by the collar looking crazy. But he hadn't been in a good place either...so.

He looked at the opener in his hands then at the garage door, pressing a button to open it, the door slowly raising until Venge pushed the button to stop it at a height that was enough for him to crouch and pass under. If Joey had locked himself in a garage the last thing he needed was a full flashbang.

He was ready for anything.*

*The office was in fact dark, except now for the dim outside light and the glow of his computer screen's screen saver. Joey, however, was not at his desk.*

*He was laying in the middle of the floor, glasses cracked on one side as if he had fallen. His eyes were fogged, glazed, almost as purple lightning danced within them like his eyes were storm clouds. There was a minor almost.. aura to him as well, black clouds making circles around his body.*

*He was alive, but he definitely didn't seem very.. present, yet. He was staring at his computer, even from his spot on the floor, and his hand was outstretched as if he eas trying to type on the floor. His fingers weren't moving, though.*

*He rushed down to Joey's side, looking over at the man, his eyes going towards the desk. Papers with undecipherable text written all over them, tons of cups of coffee emptied...

*trying to fight a growing anxiety, he gathered his brother into his arms, hoping to finally bring him to his room to put him to bed and assess the situation*

*Oh, there he is. Joey began thrashing, but there wasn't as much power as you'd expect behind it from a man who can carry Noodle with ease.. He seems significantly weakened, but even so, he is fighting as hard as he can.*

*His hold onto Joey's body pictured his words perfectly, he had not let go of him.*

*Joey kept thrashing wildly, and when he realized it wasn't working, he turned and bit Venge on the shoulder; HARD. He kept thrashing despite it not working, trying so desperately to escape. He couldn't stop his work!! He had to keep going!! If he didn't finish his papers, how would everyone know what the stars wanted them to do to be safe?*

*Vengeance gritted his teeth, Joey didn't seem keen on letting go, and his bite-force was as brutal as his own...perhaps worse.*

*Red mist attemped to take over his vision, but he forced himself to swallow his urges. This was his brother. He was not going to give in to an episode and hurt him.

Slowly carrying him to his room, he dropped himself down onto the bed, crushing Joey under his body in an attempt to keep him from escaping, the crazed man's jaw not leaving his shoulder. Hissing in pain, Vengeance took his phone out, masking the pain in his voice.*

Guerns...do you know if Joey has a personal doctor-? It's serious.

Personal doctor?

*Guernsey had answered FAST, and thankfully couldn't hear the quiet growling in the background as Joey kept his teeth in Venge's shoulder. His lightning filled eyes also had malice in them now; anger. He's feel awful for this when he had any grasp on reality, but for now? Venge was enemy number one for keeping him away from his writings.*

*Guernsey took a breathe,*

I.. We don't get hurt bad enough or often enough for anyone regular. Mrs. Sunflower patches minor scrapes, but she isn't a doctor. The only real doctor I know outside our therapist is Dr. Triage..

*He winced as Joey suddenly tightened his jaw again, a warm trickling feeling running down his shoulder, Vengeance had two options.*

*Guernsey trailed off. His lip was quivering, and tears were falling down his cheeks. This was bad.. He could tell based on Venge's voice it was bad, so he swallowed his words.*

..Okay. I won't. Should I text Syd that her dad won't be home when she gets home from the monastery?

*Joey kept his bite force the same when he began to taste iron under his teeth. He didn't like it, not one bit, but if he let go Venge was winning, so he just.. kept holding on. If he kept holding on, clearly, at some point, Venge would set him free.*

I-We'll see- okay? I'll tell you when we get this dealt with- just...stay calm for me- i'll be fine.

*Closing the call with Guernsey he grabbed his RW card, pinging a comm for Triage as he forced his body to squish Joey further into the mattress. Joey had already lost but all he wanted was to be set free and Venge wasn't going to let him do that.*

Heyyy, man- care to come to the farm? We got a bad case of a mad Joey here..-

*At the mention of Triage, Joey's growls grew louder. The thrashing that had stopped due to being squished started right back up, trying desperately to get Venge off.. but he couldn't. He wasn't strong enough. That probably frustrated him more then anything, not being strong enough to get back to his work.*

*A rift tore open not far from the two men, Triage appearing in between the light.

The medic got behind Vengeance, in a moment where Joey wasn't thrashing, he got a hold on his shoulder, pinching it with a syringe of tranquilizer, eventually bringing the man's feverish rage to a stop, Joey falling asleep under Venge's body*

That should settle him down for a bit...i'll help you with that shoulder.

*He gently pried the sleeping man's jaw from Vengeance's shoulder, blood seeping from the bite wound as the bigger man hissed in pain*

How did it get this bad?

*Venge slowly sat up as he was sure Joey had stopped moving, still giving his back to Triage as he removed his hoodie to allow him to take care of the bite, thinking as he eyed at the blood stains on the hoodie*

I found him delirious on the floor of his studio, he was saying stuff about the stars talking to him...Guernsey says he's been acting strange for a while now even crashed out a few times...but I think it got this bad today or something...I had to do everything I could to get him up here even if he tried to maul my shoulder.

*He looked at the signs of a clear sickness all over Joey, raising his eyebrow before turning his head towards Triage*

That's not Rift Sickness, is it? I've never seen a purple aura and clouds.

*Hah. Ironic how the guy that had bitten and almost fully blinded Triage not that many weeks ago had gotten a taste of his own medicine by his brother. Still, Triage felt pity for both, Joey looked really bad and Venge had done the best he could to take care of him.

Disinfecting Venge's wound, Triage studied Joey's body carefully with his eyes, assessing the situation*

When I entered the garage I found him delirious on the floor, he tried to convince me the stars were telling him to work or something and when I tried to bring him to bed he bit me and kept his jaw there until Triage put him to sleep. I had to squish him with my body to keep him from running away.
