Send me a ✺ for my muse’s reaction to yours knocking on their door in the middle of the night
It didn’t take much to wake the blind man, the noise close to the door was enough to make him blink awake. Staying the night at the mansion was unusual enough for him, but having someone come to him at this hour could only mean trouble. Not wanting to make whoever was outside wait, N'Doul didn’t bother dressing his shirt or fetching his cane, finding his way easily to the door.
“…? Who is it? What do you need?”
When N’Doul let him in Casimir saw the cane on the floor now. Picking it up he handed it to it’s owner with a small smile and hope he hadn’t put his friend into a panic.
“No…No, no one didn’t hurt me. I was in my room the whole time. I had a nightmare N’Doul…More like an old memory. Flashes of ice, darkness…Gaudy feathers and a lot of pain.” He didn’t want to say the pain was the ‘Punch in the face or stabby’ kind but more of a pain his lower body is never going forget feeling no matter how it will heal over the next few years.
“I…Almost was thinking of breaking my promise..BUT I DIDN’T! Just…The feelings are still there.”
Taking his cane, the blind man moved his head up quietly, paying attention to what Casimir told him. It was easy to tell what he was talking about, how he despised his ‘other friend’ for how he hurt him. N’Doul clenched his cane close to his body, frowning. Everything was easier when he didn’t care about other people...
“... Do you want to stay here for the night? Maybe it will be easier to rest.”
