cobbled this sludge together the second i saw someone uploaded this chapter's weird route content <- it does not want to do the weird route because it cares about these kids too much Imagine being Kris here. Losing control of your body and doing terrible things to your childhood friend's mental state and then the thing puppeteering your body starts taking you both to the lake and going further and further and further under the water and you can't stop it.......actual nightmare scenario It really is dreadful though. I thought it couldn't get worse than in chapter 4. Chapter 4 was horrifying honestly. But it got worse!! AGGHGHH They're kids...they're kids!!!!!!! I am beyond terrified for chapter 7 now. How do you even fucking continue from this????

My boy Eden for catmask's brush week challenge! Art is in order of how much I like it!! I started these the minute the initial brush week post was made, and it's for the best that I did because Woooof these took a while >.<; So it more or less became brush MONTH for me #lol

I'm really glad I decided to go with messy-lined semi-chibis because if I did full, polished artwork I woulda died @_@

more Deltarune art. the one egg room npc's dialogue in chapter 4 was very interesting. after some thinking i began to interpret it as kris' memory of dess, and the guilt they have regarding what happened to her (the "don't kill each other" bit). i'm also growing partial to the theory that dess drowned, there's too much to explain there so i'm not typing it all. hence why shes Soggy here. You may have noticed the art quality decreases as the comic goes on this is TOTALLY intentional and i definitely didnt get lazy what are you talking about

individual panels under the cut bc it might be hard to see if tumblr butchers the quality

Oh gosh it's quite a bit

so going off of this theory,

and this comment, and the general theme of water that's been around since the first chapter (the character creation background being a picture of the ocean, and the sound of waves when kris first lands in the dark world), ends up bringing me to the idea that dess might have drowned or something. And even if that's not the case, something very bad is going on under the lake and I Am Afraid

Sorry if this didn't really explain anything in a way that makes sense, there's a lot on my mind regarding Dess and Kris but I'm not really an articulate person x'3
