#funfact Good souls, small gestures Parliament ushers are often something like the good souls of MPs. When a headache strikes, they are quickly on hand with a pill. They have also been known to quickly sew buttons back on before an important speech. And they can even remedy runny stitches in nylon tights. “Well, one of us will just go down to the cabin and get a new pair. We always have spare tights for each of us.” These are the small gestures for which employees of the plenary and committee assistance service are so popular.
