── .✦ he was born in camden, tennessee, on the cusp of three in the morning to a woman who did her best, waitress by day and stripper by night. his father walked out on her when gunner was young. she never married him. gunner was the man of the house. didn't have a good male role model.
── .✦ man of the house but a problem child, a wild child. sweet southern charm but delinquent behavior. mom's "boyfriend" wasn't much help to that. although the man got him into bronco riding. always have an affinity for horses. he worked a stable when he was younger, bronco competitions were a way to finally keep him out of trouble. had no idea it would've become his whole career. but he should've because he dropped out of high school.
── .✦ became famous eventually, as he never really met a horse in a competition he couldn't bond with. usually beat the records. his "stage name" midnight colt which is what most of his fans know him by. relocated his next permanent home in memphis.
── .✦ somewhere along the way he met his ex-wife, and they had two beautiful daughters. undetermined at this time if i want her to have passed or to have left him, gunner will tell me eventually lol. either way, she was out of the picture when the girls were young. his sister helped raise them, with partial custody, while he continued bronco riding.
── .✦ eventually, he had an accident. managed to actually win the competition as the last contestant to ride, but at the cost of severe injuries. at one point, the doctors told him he'd never be able to sit in a saddle again. he said wanna bet. while he doesn't do bronco riding anymore. his affinity and natural talent at bonding with horses allowed him to remain within the circuits.
── .✦ when one of his daughters got into the university of boulder on scholarship, he couldn't have been more proud of her. his other daughter still hasn't figured out what she wants to do and that's okay with him too. he picked them up and moved them away form tennessee to be closer to his other daughter to bear creek, a quieter life.
── .✦ met ines when he was looking a real estate close to boulder. when he officially moved there, he kept running into her. eventually, he asked her out. and the rest of the year has them seeing each other.
── .✦ sometimes he gets bummed he can't compete anymore, but he's slowly becoming still accustomed to a quieter side of horse care. he can't ride in the saddle for too too long because his hip will act up. but he will never let that stop him.
── .✦ avid weed smoker (mostly because of pain), avid drinker, smokes marboro reds, chewing tobacco. drives a dodge ram matte black, liftkick, with grill guard. when he's not working he unfortunately open carries. still has his thick tennessee accent. southern charm yes ma'am and thank you ma'am.
