Argumentation by the Kholins
i made a soulcaster! it works about as well as jasnah's does
Oh shit that's awesome looking! That's killer! Loooove it, how long was the making?
thank you!! it took around two evenings to both design it and string the beads together. i went into it as a complete beginner so if you've got more craft muscle memory than me you may work faster. i've written up some more details on how i made it here!

I am currently drawing fanarts of the Stormlight Archive series. And since the main content is still in work, I want to share a few sketches. I drew them after reading Dalinar`s flashbacks. I love Evi so much, this woman deserved better. But Navani and Ialai also seemed very interesting to me, so I decided to make small sketches of the most important ladies in Alethkar. I think that from description in the books, Evi did`nt have such fluffy hair, but that is what appeared in my head when I read the scene where Dalinar meets Evi, and it seemed like her hair glowed. So probably very far from canon designs, but just my interpretation.
I first started reading The Way Of Kings a year ago and yesterday I finally finished it! This is the longest book I've read so far and it was a challenge to say the least...
For quite a while I felt that there was something wrong with me for not having enjoyed the first half of the book and the book overall until I saw someone posting a video that explained exactly how I felt. I think that explaining my relationship with this book is going to help me quite a bit and if it helps someone else, I'm happy. Having said this, I must say that I quite liked the book, not entirely but enough to keep me going.
I must say, this is my first epic fantasy book, so bear with me...
My biggest mistake was going into it having heard so many great things about it and I think that it really affected me negatively for the first 500 pages of the book. I really couldn't connect with any of the characters in the first half of the book. It was quite slow paced for my liking and I left it for about 8 months. When I continued, I had forgotten some details and thanks to some summaries I found I could continue. And I think that giving myself time was the best decision ever... I was connecting with the characters, I started caring for the storylines, I found details I wasn't getting, I was enjoying the action scenes and Dalinar's visions (which were a huge fact that lead me to dnf-ing the book for a while) and overall the story got waaaay better.
I wouldn't say I have a favorite character yet but I have started to appreciate all of them, specially Dalinar. Kaladin and Shallan are compelling characters that I've grown quite fond of and their journeys have been interesting. The plot was a bit confusing and I know that I'm missing a lot of details but it's quite captivating right now. There were moments in which I cried, laughed, gasped, got annoyed and felt as if I had to cheer out loud. The worldbuilding is incredibly complex and I wasn't expecting it to be this detailed. The Sanderlanche exquisite as always :)
I think I've gotten everything I wanted to get out of my system right now. So for now, I'll just leave some quotes I really liked from TWoK:
"To be human is to want that which we cannot have."
"Overcome your guilt, Kaladin. Care, but not too much.Take responsability, but don't blame yourself. Protect, save, help—but know when to give up."
"The end is the same. It is the path that separates men. When we taste that end, we will do so with our heads held high, eyes to the sun."
I'm left with the question... "now what? do I continue with Words Of Radiance or Alloy Of Law?"
(I've already read Mistborn Era 1 and Warbreaker)
I think I'm ready for either but what would you recommend?
Alloy of Law
Words of Radiance

Dan and Phil appreciation week~ ✂️✨
Day 1: Favourite Dan and/or Phil quote
Dan: ...And Phil, something I talk about is the importance of having someone to support you and that's been you. Through my life all the little existential crises you've been there feeding me snacks and as annoying as you have been, at least you've been there.
I TRY TO GIVE DAN A HAIRCUT!!

The first moment of splendor
I made this one based on the first scene of season 2 and this made me believe that Aziraphale fell in love the moment he met Crowley while Crowley at this point was just full of awe and wonder as he created the galaxy. I noticed that Az somehow copied some of Crowley’s manerism, just bubly and cheerful, or perhaps the wing cover later, back in season 1, was Aziraphale returning Crowley’s kind gesture at the very beginning, this moment.
In any case i love love love it, soooo many good moments in this season. What are your thoughts?

The last one 😍
Here’s the LotR and Good Omens crossover piece I did last month! Aziraphale is, ofcourse, a hobbit, with Silvan-elf Crowley who comes to visit him in the Shire. Honestly, working on this artwork made me miss LotR so much.
There’s also a fic written by the wonderful @mirach which this was attached to, do read it here and enjoy!

Here's an Atla x GO artwork I forgot to post here before, with Aziraphale as a waterbender and Crowley as a firebender. This is a speedpaint so forgive the messiness 🤣
