where do they prefer to read? on the sofa, in bed, at a table, on the porch, in a cafe?

james just doesn’t read, period. he tends to find it boring most of the time, preferring to be out there tearing shit up or fucking with aleks. not only that, but he’s far too restless to be able to focus on it; he tends to fidget a lot and he can’t sit still for too long, anyone who spends enough time around him will know this for a fact. he’ll flick through the odd magazine every now and then, and when this occurs he’ll usually be spread out across his unmade bed, drinking from his cans and then tossing them over-the-shoulder as he flips page after page. more often than not, this serves as a distraction from his thoughts and other problems he may be facing as opposed to real, genuine interest.

how often do they go grocery shopping? do they tend to do one large trip, or smaller ones throughout the week?

it’s usually stefani that does the grocery shopping for the two of them, though he’ll occasionally go along with her just to stretch his legs. however, if he’s out and about, he’ll sometimes drop by and pick up some beers if there’s a store around.

do they eat breakfast? what’s a typical breakfast look like for them?

if it crosses his mind, sure. it usually consists of a few pieces of toast (he loves it burnt) or whatever he can find in the fridge. sometimes he’ll sleep through the entire day if his nights have been particularly restless, so breakfast is a miss for him most of the time. or, if he has leftover takeout from the night before he’ll usually just eat that cold if he doesn’t feel like heating it up, cold pizza being another favourite of his.

what time do they normally go to bed? how many hours of sleep do they usually need to function in the morning?

if james has been paying attention to the time and feels like properly taking care of himself for once, then he’ll usually hit the hay at around 11:00PM or whenever he feels his eyes starting to droop. sometimes he’ll force himself to stay awake later at night just so he can go for a walk with his dog, he prefers it much more in the later hours of the day. james is also fuelled by pure adrenaline alone so unless he’s been lazing around the past couple of days, he can function perfectly fine and still get shit done.

what is their preferred weather? what would be a perfect weather day?

james isn’t too fussy about the weather — if he wants to go somewhere, he’ll go regardless of whether it’s raining or shining. however, he does tend to find storms somewhat relaxing, the sound of the rain puncturing the roof and the windows soothing him.

          “quit your fuckin’ bitching!” the response comes abruptly with an irritable twang, dark eyes seething -- used to this sort of behavior, but tired. the reckless one never ceases to find new, exciting ways to piss him off, but this time had certainly overstepped the line. several lines, if anything. the weight of the younger slung over his shoulder is a minor hindrance, his pace barely slowed as the other continues to protest and whine. james could handle a lot of things -- a lot of things -- but the mere thought of anything happening to the little fucker on his shoulder sent the tank himself into a god awful panic. his grip tightens, his other arm reaching around to clamp down on top of the other, and he’s picking up the pace. he had him, he’s safe. but jesus james is really wanting to throttle him right now.
