“ it was the worst date imaginable, ” she stressed as she stirred her tea absentmindedly. it wasn’t hard for gaia to be absolutely shocked, but some people truly had the ability to take her speech, this man was definitely one. “ he assumed that i am a virgin, and then said ‘ if adriana lima lost her v card at twenty-seven, then i’m sure you’ll be fine. ’ and then he winked at me. ” it was hardly a crime, the way he’d spoken, but it certainly wasn’t inspiring any true love, and anyone who referred to her innocence as a ‘ v card ’ was certainly not getting a second date. “ now please say you’ll help me write a message saying i’d rather not go on another date. ”

     “ that’s... gross. gaia, you need to give this man a piece of your mind. ” camille encouraged, brows furrowed out of frustration for her. having been on horrendous dates herself, she could relate to the feeling & felt gaia certainly didn’t need to be polite to him. “ you should text him, ‘ thanks, but no thanks. good luck ever finding someone if that’s the way you’re going to continue talking to women. next. ’ ” she didn’t think it was too harsh, but rather just enough to get her point across and prevent any further communication.

     “ look, i know you aren’t studying philosophy, but i need to rant about kant to someone. who does he think he is ? or ... who did he think he was ? anyway, you get it. ” she sighed, her eyes closing momentarily. she decided she would bore her flatmates later instead ; clearly there was no point in talking to hugo if his attention was on his phone. “ i’m done boring you to tears now. ”

     hello ! i’m bre, i’m 21, in est, & my muses are luca damaso ( shawn mendes ) & camille davis ( zendaya ). below the cut, i’ve provided some insight to their backgrounds & a link to their wanted connections ! i’m obsessed with messy plots & ruining the lives of my muses, so please plot with me. i’ll beg. ZMMXMSMS. ( p.s - my wanted connections are short lists because i’m brain dead, so i just wanted to mention that i am open to almost anything ).

LUCA DAMASO & his wanted connections.

( shawn mendes, twenty-one, cismale, he/him ) - have you seen luca damaso, the pre-med student around oxford yet? i hear they can be devious and adventurous, but those who know them insist they’re reminded of long hair, dark sunglasses, a stale pack of newports, and patched jean jackets. rumor has it that killed someone in a hit and run. is it true? only time will tell… 

luca was born in beverly hills, california to his parents christine & ricky damaso. his parents were really young ( 19 ), but also extremely wealthy so it worked out okay. his dad inherited the family business & his mother helped, along with doing minor modeling & acting jobs on the side.

growing up, he was a mama’s boy. never left his mom’s side. his dad tended to be abusive toward them both. most of the abuse was verbal, but occasionally it escalated to physical violence. although he was a small child, he knew what was going on to an extent & usually tried protecting his mom, but it only made things worse. some of his earliest memories are he and his mom packing bags & staying the night in hotels to get away from him because the situation had gotten so bad. for most of his childhood, he was scared of his dad & what repercussions the abuse would have in the future.

when he was a freshman in high school, he felt old & brave enough to challenge his father. they’d get in fights so awful, he’d show up to school the next day with a black eye. throughout the years, his father drank more & more & started being violent more often. neither he nor his mom wanted to go to the police because they needed the money his dad brought in from the business.

at the age of 16, his mother killed herself & luca was the one to discover the body. that traumatic experience changed him forever & he felt truly alone. after the death of his mother, luca isolated himself for this rest of his high school years. he discovered his love of sex, drugs, & alcohol to drown out his sorrows. he’d have different girls every week, & blew hundreds on drugs a month. he’d drive drunk to visit his mother’s grave. he was spiraling out of control & nobody noticed. his dad didn’t care, & he had hardly any friends.

upon graduation, he chose to move internationally & go to school in oxford for a fresh start away from his dad & the memories he had in beverly hills.

once he arrived in oxford, he toxic behavior continued ( & still does ), but that is when he killed someone in a hit and run. he was so intoxicated he can hardly remember it happening. it happened when he was 18, so nearly 3 years have gone by & he hasn’t been caught. this keeps him super on edge and extremely paranoid. 

the years of emotional abuse have obviously effected luca & his behavior. the true love he had, from his mother, disappeared when he needed it the most. he lashes out sometimes at people who try to help him, & he makes jokes to cover up the way that he feels. he can come off as a jerk because he’s deep down trying to protect himself. it’s hard for people to get close to him, & if he feels that is happening he gets scared & runs away. he’s a pessimist & looks at situations with the worst possible outcomes.

he definitely uses people & throws them away. a lot of his bad behavior is unintentional, & a lot of the time he doesn’t realize what he’s doing. 

despite all of this, he’s extremely smart & clever. he’s a pre-med student & has plans to become a pediatric surgeon. he wants to get as far away from the business & acting world as possible. 

CAMILLE DAVIS & her wanted connections.

( zendaya, twenty-two, cisfemale, she/her ) – have you seen camille davis, the philosophy and law student around oxford yet? i hear they can be vindictive and charismatic, but those who know them insist they’re reminded of late nights in the library, leather bound journals, oversized coats, and pressed flowers when they’re around. rumor has it that she takes exams for other students in exchange for money. is it true? only time will tell…

camille was born & raised in brooklyn, new york. she’s the oldest of 8 children. her parents are super religious & her mom didn’t believe in using birth control, so that’s how that happened. her parents are both blue collar workers & they didn’t have a lot of money growing up. often times, camille was helping raise her younger siblings. she’d watch them after school & on weekends, while also going to school herself & working to help support her family. 

although she was doing a lot, her parents always demanded more. nothing she did was ever good enough. she needed higher grades, needed to make more money, & needed to be a better sister to her siblings. that ate away at her self esteem & she’s been having a hard time building it back up from almost nothing. even when she was offered the full ride to oxford, she felt like she didn’t deserve it. her parents also really didn’t want her to go, & she felt guilty leaving her family behind, but she knew that she had to think about herself for once.

i got inspiration for her character from the character lip from shameless. like him, ( if you’ve ever seen the show JNDFCV ) she is very, very smart, but just can’t perform as well as she could because of things going on at home. in high school, she would take the sat/act for people in exchange for money. now, she’s on an academic scholarship at oxford that covers everything ― tuition, housing, books, meals, etc. she’s not ashamed to admit she’s on scholarship or that her parents aren’t worth buttloads. & she also doesn’t try fitting in with the students at oxford, at least not the snobby, rich ones. she knows she isn’t like them & she’s not going to pretend to be something she’s not.

she’s still taking tests for people in exchange for money. although her scholarship covers school, she’s using the money for a savings account to jump start her future. if she gets caught doing this, she could lose everything. she doesn’t just do it for anyone & she charges thousands. she doesn’t have time to work, so this is how she makes an income for herself.

personality wise, camille is relaxed & outgoing. she’s the mom friend everyone needs. because she’s so used to taking care of others, it’s what she naturally wants to do. she’s easygoing & sarcastic, but once you get on her bad side it’s over. she has a hard time forgiving people & can really hold grudges. this is mostly just her trying to protect herself. she does let people in, but she’s gotten hurt a lot doing this & so she doesn’t know what to do other than never forgive people in an effort to avoid being hurt by the same person twice. so she kinda runs to people that give her positive attention/validation :(
