what're some good questions to ask interviewers?
-What is the company culture like here? (If you don’t ask this I will be HIGHLY worried. You need to assess the culture for wherever you’ll be working.) Additionally you could piggyback off of this like “If you could change one thing about the company culture, what would it be?”
-Could you describe day to day operations for this position?
-What makes someone great at this job instead of just average? (Shows you’re interested in excelling at the position)
-What makes you excited to come to work every morning? (Watch their answer because you will KNOW if it’s insincere or bad. If your interviewer hates their job don’t work there.)
-What is the biggest achievement this department/company has made? (Lets you know how often they outdo themselves. If the biggest achievement was a number of years ago they’re likely on a decline.)
-Would you mind giving me a tour of where I would potentially be working if I’m hired? (Allows you to envision yourself in the position and to make sure your area isn’t shitty)
-What is your vision for the company? (If they have no vision don’t work there)
-What does the onboarding process look like? How often can I expect to hear from you?
-Ask any questions related to the company that you’ve found out about, like their new merger or initiative or anything. Shows you’ve done your research. Most companies do have this information online.
-Does the company experience a high turnover rate?
-Would you like clarification on any answers I’ve given?
-If your future boss is interviewing you, ask about their management style. You don’t want any surprises.
-What opportunities in this role will I have for professional development?
