Some late night sketches since I recently finished playing the new Guardians of the Galaxy game. It was super fun and I had a fantastic time playing it! Really enjoyed the game overall and the dialogue and banter between the Guardians had me laughing a lot, especially Drax’s dialogue.

FINGERS WEAVE OUT of the handles, leaving Peter to drop the crate prematurely with a hasty scuttle backwards. Assessing his toes are still fully intact &. confirming that as so, he looks up to his dealer, shifty arms meeting the wall in a lean.
❝ Contraxia isn't usually a place I deal with, ❞ a click of his tongue &. he scans the others face for any secondary motives &. as if struck with an eureka, he pipes up again, ❝ ... you got something nice to offer us ? ❞
Ever since the fight against Magus, things were quiet. Too quiet. It was like the galaxy didn't have a need for any guardians now that the genie was sealed back in it's bottle, &. that alone was discouraging. The Guardians were taking small gigs, dealing contraband from Rocket's dealers, taking on hunts for Hellbender, but nothing was hitting the mark. ( they needed danger ) So out came an offer in Contraxia, a request just a little too high in units for just a small dealership ... Peter was hooked.
While the others had voiced their concerns, Peter ( with Rocket's pitching ) ended up convinced them anyway. It's less about the units, more about the thirst for adventure. Or that's what they all tell themselves.
He gives the crate a small nudge with the steel cap of his boots, throwing a heavy nod to the latter. ❝ Surely this load of crap isn't worth that much. ❞
Much like most other recent iterations of Star-Lord, PETER IS VERY EXPRESSIVE. His main communication is through physical gestures, and when he moves it feels extremely reminiscent of a dance flow.
One of these examples is rolling his head back. Often when Pete is frustrated he rolls his head back into his neck, followed by an exasperated groan or scolding (particularly of Rocket). It's probably his most infamous amongst the Guardians and gets quite the rep, with Gamora often being the first to call him out and predict what he's about to say/do (which Peter takes great offence to).
Though this isn't always the case. Sometimes—and especially when it's been a long cycle in the captain's seat—Pete pushes his head back to feel the collar of his jacket. It's a comforting feeling; reminds him of home, oddly enough. He specifically wears the collar as close to his neck as possible to be able to cushion his head whenever is convenient. Ironically enough, wearing his jacket so tight across his back has influenced his posture to be straighter, something he gets teased about by the other Guardians.
