Plantformers 6 by Kai (who asked me not to link their art info because this is art related to a fanfic love story novel), I commissioned this because I really wanted to see a flower version of Anode, Lug, Arcee, Rung, Editor, and Ratchet, because of the meaning of flowers in my book Tumbling for Togetherness, and also because it just gives me feels and looks cool, you know? In what may seem like a non sequitur, here’s a sample text from Chapter 3 (the narrator in this chapter is Anode):
In the present, Lug, my pals, and I walked past some of the many folks who chose to meet here. For example, the group of rug-rug rock folk sitting together in a conglomeration, quietly sharing collected minerals, thus growing each other’s inner geodes, the litholinking making the conscious experience shared. Some squarish reedrax units were exploring how their defining codes had grown drawing on source code and the reflecting on the world since they last met, playfully writing out poetic formula about each other. Resporvan biped avians were softly singing with one or more of their individual quintets of larynxes, feathered chests across the hues flaring. They were engaging in their music-speak, the singing lighting up their spine and tail plates with a pumping of five different base colors of blood corresponding to each larynx, the voice ranges not corresponding to a single hue, however, which were: red, blue, green, purple, and yellow. People from across the forty species in the Cosmic Valence that could tolerate Cybertron’s conditions, including the prior mentioned three and transformers, also sat together, talking, signing, holding limbs, laughing, making art, playing out games that had been brought, working on an engine together, dancing, just reading cozily. Those not totally engrossed in their activities who noticed us greeted with hellos and how are you, and we responded in kind, sometimes hugging, or blowing kisses with friends.
“Pretty amazing right, what we all do?” Lug whispered to me, as we got closer to the benched and chaired table at the end of the massive hall alongside many others, where the people we were going to sit with today were. The twenty-three beings, mostly transformers, gathered around the green oval table we were striding towards got up to meet us.
“Absolutely, dear,” I squeezed my Conjunx’s hand. We walked into the little gathering, and with those who wanted to, embracing and exchanging cheek smooches, or differing to other forms of age-old greetings, such as pressing hands together, palm to palm.
As I will reiterate in any post where I actually leave a link to this book, it has adult content in part of it (Chapter 5), so it’s just for 18 and older folks.
