ive been using this purse my mom has that i always coveted when i was a kid that has like, jack skellington's face. i dont really carry it skellington side facing outward though, so it's a bit pointless. it's nice though.

part of me feels a little ghoulish using and wearing my mom's old stuff so soon, but like, i think that's kind of an ocd thing. it helps to feel connected to her by using her stuff that reminds me of her in a positive way. and i know she wouldn't be mad about it, like, it's not like she's using it.

IDK I think if cis men are being told that being fat will lower their testosterone and make them Insufficiently Masculine, and cis women are being told that being fat will raise their testosterone and make them Excessively Masculine, and fat trans people are being denied the right to medically transition if they're fat, and thin trans people are warned against HRT because it will make them fat (and this is said about both testosterone and estrogen HRT), and androgynous-presenting people are told that only thin people count as androgynous...

i think im kinda dehydrated lol. that and ive been eating a lot of processed food that's way saltier than usual. not that im exactly like a low sodium person the rest of the time but i've had a drastic diet change because of all the crazy shit ive had going on.

anyway. my feet are actually holding water blehhh!! not a ton, i just notice theyre a tiny bit swollen and it feels a bit gross walking around. i'm sure if i try to have some gatorade and put my feet up for a bit it will help.

i mention it because i remember reading in the (threadbare) guide they gave me from the hospital about grief that sometimes you start having similar symptoms to the deceased person. mom had CRAZY edema in one foot bc of the cancer and shit reducing her kidney function, and she was having a lot of weird sideways back pain, and ive had a bit of back pain. i'm not particularly concerned because poor diet and not drinking enough water and psychosomatic trouble easily explains all of it, and on top of that i know i'm not at risk of inheriting pancreatic cancer from her because of the genetic testing we had done.

but i did think it was interesting that people tend to develop similar symptoms to their dead loved one for some reason while grieving. like clearly it's psychosomatic in some fashion but i wonder why that is.
