Captain America (2005) #27
Going back for screencaps and noticed that when Rosie "drops" Alastor (see: lets him go to support himself), he doesn't fall to the floor; he falls into a safety net created by her soul 'chain'.
"I'm in your net"... It's not that kind of net, Alastor.
The fandom take of "Alastor will eventually learn his lesson and be nicer and more open" annoys me A LOT because quite frankly what canon shows us is "Alastor is too nice for his own good".
Yes, really. I don't think there's really a different reading possible of the Mimzy sequence. And that comes after Scrambled Eggs, where Alastor straight up takes abuse from the eggs until Zestial shows up, at which point he shushes them real fast. And that comes after his deal with Vaggi that she NEVER ASK HIM to do anything tv-related ever again in episode one. And then there's Alastor's patience with Charlie's romantic drama monologue on the way to Cannibal Town in Hello Rosie, and then there's his little monologue to Niffty about how the hotel makes him "almost sentimental" at the start of s1 finale and there's his visible (but not audible lol) freakout at "great alastor altruist died for his friends" at the end of the finale.
(And there's his patience and lack of hostility towards both Rosie and Vox in s2 finale even though he quite frankly deserves to go apeshit on both of them there lol)
Alastor will be able to have healthier relationships WHEN HE GETS BETTER AT SAYING NO TO PEOPLE. Which might or might not happen in the show, but it's quite perpendicular to its main Power Of Friendship theme and thus might well just not.
Alastor doesn't need to fucking. Get MORE willing to do things for other people. He's already at unhealthy levels of that, and the rest of his prickly persona is his attempt at self-defense from that!!! Which he's perfectly well entitled to and not wrong about!!!
Yall wanting him to be Charlie II really need to pay more attention to how Very Not Well Charlie is lol
They're both probably sedated
Any time i see Alastor having sex it feels like I'm getting stabbed in my stomach
Missing them rn (sketch to take my mind off of some intense knee pain I had today 😭)
Nat 🖤
“Agent Romanoff is comfortable with everything.”
Hoooolllllyyyyyy shittttttttt 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Y’all are missing a serious angst possibility…
How many times has Natasha been severely injured on missions with the other Avengers? She doesn’t have any superpowers (mild enhancements, maybe, but that’s not enough), so she probably gets injured a lot compared to the other Avengers, and takes longer to heal/injuries are more serious for her. I imagine she gets hurt even more than Clint, because he primarily uses a ranged weapon, so he’s not as up in the action as she is. She does use her guns, but it’s usually at close range and paired with hand to hand combat.
How many times has she been shot or stabbed, and bleeding out while the rest of the team tries to finish the fight and get her to safety?
What if they didn’t see her get hit, and they find her afterwards, barely conscious in a pool of blood?
How many times has she stood and fought on a broken ankle?
How many times has she coughed up blood and continued fighting anyway?
How many times has she taken bullets for Steve or Thor, even though they have a better shot of surviving getting shot than she does?
How many times have they all gathered around her in the Quinjet on the way back because they genuinely thought it would be the last time they see her?
And then what about the missions she can’t go on because she’s recovering, and she’s sitting around feeling like a complete failure, terrified her friends won’t come back and it will be her fault?
india is not a democracy anymore.
everyone needs to hear about the situation in india right now. the youth of this nation are going through hell and back to protect the foundations that our country was built on in the first place, while the adults who are supposed to actually be in charge try to silence our voices.
NEET, which is an exam taken by millions of students per year and is the ONLY gateway for medical admissions across the country, had its papers leaked. so many took their lives because this exam meant everything for their future. and NTA, the agency who conducts this exam, was not held accountable.
there was national backlash. cockroach janta party (initially a satirical political party formed by abhijeet dipke in retaliation to the remarks of the chief justice of india calling the youth "cockroaches" and "parasites of society") started protests at jantar mantar, demanding the resignation of the union education minister, dharmendra pradhan. the movement also asked for ten million inr (~100,000 usd) in compensation for the families of students who died by suicide and wanted NTA be held accountable.
sonam wangchuk, a climate activist and education reformer, also went on a hunger strike at jantar mantar to protest against this corruption in india's higher education system. his fast began on june 28, demanding the resignation of the union education minister. his fast lasted for 20 days until delhi police FORCIBLY removed him and admitted him to safdarjung hospital on july 18.
because of this, cockroach janta party announced "chalo sansad," a march to the parliament beginning on june 20th, 9:00 am ist. but the police seems to be responding with water cannons, mobile jammers, and baton charge. all of this, because of a peaceful protest led by people no older than 30.
and yet there has been absolutely no indian media coverage about a movement that spans the entirety of this nation. so, please, if you see this, keep talking about us. we will not let those old bastards stoop any lower than they've already had. we will not let them ruin our country any further. we will not be silenced
Sooooo, seems like everyone is back in Marvel but Natasha? And I'm supposed to be 'ok' with that?
