Simon Snow is the host of a popular paranormal podcast investigating Britain’s haunted sites. Baz writes dry books on folklore and history while conducting field research. They keep arriving at the same locations. Simon thinks Baz is a sceptical academic with psychic sensitivity. Baz thinks Simon is an untrained civilian accidentally performing large-scale thaumaturgy over Wi-Fi.

What it would be like for Baz and Simon if they had time to exist in a relationship at Watford, post Christmas break? Essentially, if the Humdrum mystery was uncovered at the end of the year rather than at Christmas, how would the characters interact? A story following the two boys as they navigate a new relationship, one that Baz thought would never happen, and that Simon had never even considered. Also, as I've continued to write, I think I've progressively lost the plot. So this may be rewritten later :)
