He didn’t need protection which was why he tried to slip out from under their radar. Angelo could take care of himself, knowing that he wouldn’t sleep until his dad’s killer was found. He wouldn’t let his guard down, that was for sure. “I’m not buying you a drink,” He said to the person next to him as he sat down at the bar. He knew he was getting looks, thanks to whomever had leaked the news. But that didn’t matter because right now, he needed a drink. “None on the house tonight. In fact, people should probably be offering to buy me drinks instead.”
It was the first time since she had opened to business doors that they were not thrown wide open to welcome in the rowdy and the riffraff for a night of debauchery and entertainment. No, tonight was not a night of celebration, but of mourning and sorrow for the family she had grown close to. It was quiet and open to those who belonged the Bianchi and desired a drink. “These cheap asses won’t be buying you a thing”, she scoffed from across the bar. “Lucky you the owner is feeling particularly generous tonight though”, she sighed, needing nothing more than to keep her hands busy. “What can I get you tonight?”

The day had whipped past her like she had been standing entirely still, the news causing a cascading effect that left Gage stuck in a maelstrom of conflicting emotions. For a girl that thrived in the heart of chaos, she had never before wished for the calm and peace of another boring day. Now, as her steps carried her towards the front door of her childhood best friend’s home, her attention was focused on the sole reason for her wish for peace, Viola’s sanity.
Gage had heard about the news in passing, but stopped at nothing to try and reach out to her friend. Though, in true Bennet fashion, she was quick to scrap that idea for showing up on Viola’s doorstep with a bottle of whiskey locked between her fingers. And just that she did, her free hand coming to rap against the heavy wood of the door. “Vi, it’s me, I bring whiskey and only the worlds most compassionate friend”, she hummed in a playfully sing song voice, trying to bring just a touch of humor. Gage was at a loss, she didn’t know what Viola needed right now, but she was more than willing to try and be that, even if that was not exactly her forte.
seeing as carina wasn’t exactly expecting a warm welcome from any of her cousins, she took off on her own to explore the property a bit until she was needed. she had always admired her uncle’s home, and had even secretly wished she’d been able to spend more years there growing up. but things were different now. the woman was all too aware of the secrets the walls had been keeping and while she was still entirely uncertain why she had been called home, she was happy to help in any way she could.
without wasting any time she made her way towards the gardens. happy to be alone for a few moments, she couldn’t help but let a frown grace her porcelain features when she saw another female in the nearby distance. carina approached the woman and inquired, “you know, I hear it’s not the most wise to be wandering around here alone. given everything that’s happened of course.”
Her gaze was far away as she stared at the cascading water of the fountain, thoughts running a million miles a minute. The woman couldn’t pinpoint a single emotion she felt, there was too many she was experiencing to focus on a single one. There was sorrow for a friend, rage for a family, and a bloodlust to do something about this chaos. Gage’s finger’s twitched, aching for action and answers. Though, it was a single voice that snatched her attention way from her thoughts.
“Well, some have said that I’m known to not be the most wise. More quick to action sort of person”, she mused, forcing a cool smile to stretch across nude lips. “But I could easily say the same thing to you. You’re not exactly toting an armed guard with you at the moment”, she challenged, her smile softening ever so slightly with Gage’s playful nature.

Mackenzie Bennet was born on August 13th in Malibu, Ca to James and Margret Bennet. She was the second born of two, the older Bennet boy merely seven years older than Mackenzie.
The Bennet’s were a wealthy Malibu family, known for two things: their yearly Christmas Eve extravaganza and the fact that you never asked what James Bennet did for a living unless you wanted to see a side to the Bennet’s that you never knew existed. Beneath the facade of shiny and polished surfaces, something dark and dangerous lurked.
James Bennet had his fingers in shady business all up and down the west coast and that’s ultimately what got him and his wife killed. At the age of 12, Mackenzie and her brother moved across the country to live with her Uncle but a life of crime was never far for the Bennet siblings.
Her Uncle was part of the Bianchi Family, an organization that soon became family to the Bennet’s and soon rooted deep within Mackenzie.
Mackenzie, for the most part, keep her shinny exterior. Everyone saw her as Odette, the Swan Queen that danced center stage among the rest of the prim and propr. What was kept under wraps was the broken nose she had issued to her classmate who decided it was wise to whisper about her in the halls. With a smile and bruised knuckles, Mackenzie was the living embodiment of the White Swan and Black Swan.
Mackenzie’s deep dive into the world of crime continued through high school and college. The same year she graduated college with her MBA was the same year she took her first life. Some lowlife tried to take advantage of her friend in a club one night. Poor sucker never expected the blonde or her switch blade to be lodged between his ribs.
With the help of her trust fund and business knowledge, she purchased a rundown old produce factory in the middle of town and rebuilt it into Knox, a club that the crowds flocked to for their signature cocktails and industrial atmosphere.
Through the years, her fearlessness, ruthlessness, and natural ability to lead all paved the way for her rise among the ranks of the Bianchi family. Soon, she was named Capo and welcomed the title with pride.
