not to sound insane. but. my college roommate just randomly self-published a book that’s very obviously thinly-veiled self-insert fanfiction. which is fine. whatever. i am reading it to be supportive only to find out i am in it. it’s set in college and the roommate is literally me, her college roommate. i thought i was projecting but the character is literally named my childhood nickname. so. what am i supposed to do now.

halfway through the book. my main character attributes are that i’m loud (true) outgoing (in comparison to her sure) slutty (false lol) boycrazy (she knew me when i thought i was straight) and headstrong (true) but overall it’s an overwhelming positive depiction of me??? when i realized this was more or less rpf i thought she would portray me as being more difficult or annoying or bossy but so far it’s very kind
