Park Juyeon, known within the preformance industry as βLexβ is a 20 year old female rap and vocal soloist signed under both NTM and @mabel-entertainment . The start of her successful career began in March of 2017 with debut mini album named βHis Lossβ. Although getting large amounts of backlash, the mini album placed Lex into the spotlight for her fierce and passionate idol persona which she still portrays to this day.
Despite debuting only two years ago, the young performer is looked up to predominately for her rapping and lyricist skills. She has also already made kpop history, becoming the official second fastest idol rapper as well as being the first idol to publicly come out as bisexual.
Lex, who is legally known as Park juyeon was born on the 10th of September 1998 in Seoul, South Korea to a Korean mother named Park Hyemi and a Japanese father who goes by Asao Saito. In 1998, Lexβs father abandoned his future family his girlfriend, Hyemi, fell pregnant with, who would soon be, Lex. Although being a single parent, Lexβs mother was a very successful CEO at the time and raised her daughter just as well as she could have with a husband.
Due to her mother constantly being tied down by an overloaded work schedule and the fact that Lex is an only child. She had to find a lot of activities to preoccupy herself, which is how fourteen year old Lex discovered a newfound love for the art of rap. Her classmate took her to an underground rap performance in Seoul one random night and the teenager knew it was going to become a massive part of her life for long years to come and she was absolutely correct.
Months after that particular night, Lex found herself turning to rap and lyricism as an outlet to express her feelings, something she never previously had. Everytime she would feel vulnerable or hurt, she would trust her natural talent of writing to help her. Her mother had known about her daughters love of writing since it began but had never actually witnessed Lex rapping, until one day she overheard the young girl freestyling and decided to support her daughter to pursue her dream.
In 2013, when Lex was fifteen years old, she auditioned for Mabel entertainment as a rap, vocalist and lyricist trainee where she spent one year training until her company decided to collab with NTM entertainment, the first LGBTQ+ company in kpop, as Lex had just come out to the staff at Mabel as bisexual. After four years of training and three of those being with two companies, Lex was given the opportunity to debut as a soloist.
Although her debut was only a couple of years ago, Lex has won many respected awards as well as breaking several records, such as being the official second fastest idol rapper due to her performance on unpretty rapstar back in 2017 which also resulted in the rapper winning the competition.
Following her two year asian success, the talented soloist is rumored to soon mark the date for a usa debut.
Zhao Yiren better known for her stage name ββElla ββ is one of the biggest female rappers in todayβs korean music industry, the rapper is under @troubleent she made her first appearance on SMTM4 where she joined AOMGβs group, after being one of the runner ups the female joined the label.
the young female is known for her provocative songs and strong stage presence, she made her official debut shortly after smtm. Ella showed her charms on many occasions where she made Korean netizens fell for her goofy yet charismatic personality. Yiren was born on the 16th of December 1997 in Sydney Australia, she was brought up in a musical home where she never missed any affection at the young age of 16 she moved to Seoul on her own to work on her dream.
In 2018 the 21 year old caught the world off guard with her multiple collaborations; russ, sik-k and even kehlani who she looks up to since quite some time, the rapper stated ββ itβs amazing to think that not even 4 years ago i was working at a grocery store to finance my place in Seoul, Iβm deeply grateful for everything that has happened to me ββ the female stopped her school life at a young age to focus entirely on her musical career, prior to being on the well known rapping show, ella worked multiple part time jobs to pay her rent while also composing and producing songs on the side, along the way she made some great friends that she truly appreciates ββ my biggest and my dearest friend is without a doubt loco who since day one has been there for me ββ
Ellaβs most well known songs include: remember, fiancΓ© and honey, in those three songs the female talks about her feelings for a mysterious woman, she is indeed quite open about her sexuality as mentioned in many interviews that itβs important for her to be open with her fans so she can be as true as possible with her music. She grew up in an open minded Chinese household where she never faced any difficulties to come out to her parents who are till this day very supportive of their β xiao daodan ββ which translates to my little naughty.
Seong Haru, previously known as S.H and now under the first name Haru, is a rapper whose career began sixteen years ago, in 2003. This legendary artist who owes the revival of the "Korean Wave" was first a child among the others in New-York before becoming the celebrity she is today.
Seong Haru was born on October 11, 1991, in New York, United States. She is the daughter of a Korean choreographer who worked with many talent agencies and a model father who was well known in the years 80. The child bathed, by proxy, in fame. The image she held of it was negative, it was because of her parentsβ over-exposure in the media that it became complicated for them to pay attention to their daughter. This developed in the young child a morbid shyness that has prevented her from defending herself when she was harassed, because of her ethnicity, during her kindergarten years spent in a private school of the Big Apple. At the same time, the girl accidentally discovered the rap and fell in love with it. This form of art helped her a lot, and as she wrote her first verses, the insults she underwent became increasingly insignificant. One month later, the girl discovered Korean music, which at the time was not as diverse as it is today, and began to take an interest in her mother countryβs culture. As she researched more deeply, her dream began to draw itself. She will be an idol. Her parents, happy to see her take the same professional path as them, reacted quickly and encouraged her in her choices. It is in 2000 that the opportunity arises when the family Seong moved to Seoul to get close to her critically ill maternal grandmother. She suffered dozens of refusals when she came to the auditions but she was eventually recruited by SM Entertainment in 2001 where she would train for two years.
In 2003, a child under the name of S.H was unveiled to the Asian world. Success is first national before it materializes in other countries like Japan, China, and the Philippines. The candid and joyful songs sung in a childish and colorful tone attract the youngest audiences. The years pass and an apparent evolution occurs in the young artist's discography. It is in 2007 that the gap really widens between the manufactured songs for children of her early career and the tracks that we know today. Her first album λΉλ ν μκ°Β translated by Censored ThoughtsΒ marks the end of the candor which her texts previously showed. With this album, S.H finally found her as an artist and began to do what she excels in: denouncing. For three years, the EPs And albums are chained, allowing her to gain visibility in many new countries. Her collaboration with Lady Gaga in 2010 propelled her to the rank of an international singer. With just a song and her charisma, the artist has just succeeded in seducing the American market.Β
The Albums, EPs, touring continue to chainedΒ themselves, ensuring to the artist a solid career around the world. This career seems to be part of music history alongside the many records she holds. Her dismissal from her loyal agency SM Entertainment at the end of the year 2018, due to contract not being respected, did not manage to disturb the woman and her career; her empires still behind her, bringing her up to the charts. This dismissal allowed her to create her independent label soberly called S.H.INC. With this conflicting separation, S.H enters a new era. Completely changing the stage name that she considered "too impersonal" with her first name Haru, the woman reveals a new artistic vision through her latest album μ λ©΄ 곡격 translated by Front Assault.Β
Under-covered with a perfectly mastered technique due to her many years of experience in the field, by her authenticity and eclectic musical tastes, Haru delivers harsh but real lyrics whose subjects vary, but remain whistleblowers, on instrumentals made with, most of the time, catchy rhythms.
Kang Sooyoung , also known in the recording industry as βhadesβ is a 21 year away old producer and rapper under Dragon Society Group, who made her producing debut in 2015 when she was only 17 , with being credited on songs such as Big Bangβs Bang Bang Bang, SHINeeβs Married to the Music , among others which were eventually scrapped from their respective albums , but were still mentioned.
-
Her life as an artist however is somewhat still new, however she is looked up to for her music style and peotic lyrics that always leave listeners searching for answers even after listening to them. She also holds other achievements to her stage name , as the third fastest female idol rapper , and one of the many-proclaimed βfashion queensβ of the idol profession.
Hades was born as Kang Sooyoung on the 3rd of September 1997 to fully Korean parents Kang Jooyoung and Han Bora in Namyangju , South Korea but swiftly moving countries to Australia, settling in Adelaide at 3 then living in Sydney until she was 19. Her family wasnβt necessarily the most perfect, with her parents usually on bad terms, her and her twin brother having 5 other mouths to feed and having no idea how to do so , her and her brother decided to take on a few part time jobs, and one of the ones Sooyoung worked at was a music store that specialised in electronic instruments, which peaked her interest.
She then started to use her schoolβs music rooms more often, delving into the world of composing music. It became something that she considered to be distracting from the stress of the rest of her life. Not a while after that, her mother introduced her to Korean music , which lit a fire in Sooyoungβs heart, which was her eventual love of writing.
-
She got her mother to look at things that she wrote since she knew that she had connections in the idol world , and got advice from her to see if it would pass as idol song lyrics. However, the songs she wrote were so raw and forcefully truthful that she knew her daughter could never work as a writer in the idol industry. So she introduced her to KR&B/Hip hop , and that was a revelation to her ears . By then , her brother Soonyoung had moved back to Korea to help his parents with their record label, and sheβd soon followed. She enjoyed the feeling of being able to create these songs from the bottom up, and it felt even better when she made them for other people. For her , it felt like she was creating a mini world with a story inside it. She was doing well as a producer , until someone asked if they could have her rap for a backing track to their song , and her father overheard her rapping and recommended she debuted as an artist.
Her official debut was only around two months ago, so there isnβt very much to say about the artistβs public presence currently , but itβs safe to say her style of music is somewhat niche to the typical female soloist listener , as her lyrics mainly centre off the unpleasant truths of the industry , and frequently calls out company executives in her songs , as a way of alerting people of them. However , as a co-CEO of Dragon Society Group and a famed producer , she rarely finds time to create songs for herself. But, as quoted from Sooyoung herself, βIβm working on something good right now, so all I can say, is hold on to your wigs.β
