Also I think just saying the lore is why the server died isn't necessarily correct, it's more so HOW the lore was handled that was bad. The fatal error/camp fatal early days were so fun and the ccs loved it because it was unscripted and included everyone, but as soon as lore started to become preplanned for only 5 or so people it lost all it's unpredictability and intrigue for anyone else's pov on the server. And it got especially worse that some ccs have the "us vs them" mentality with rp, encouraging their fans to attack anyone that involves themselves with their plots, making everyone want to avoid eachother
The qsmp1 only retained good player count for as long as it did because of the planned events were server wide and encouraged people who havent logged on in a bit to get caught up, including the lore events.
LITERALLY THIS OMG‼️‼️‼️ The lore just feels so rushed and just cramped together as well.
