She studied at the School of Art and Design Fernando Estévez ( S / C de Tenerife) focusing on the artistic fields of intaglio and wall coverings . Later she studied Graphic design at the University of La Laguna ( S / C de Tenerife) . She has participated in numerous exhibitions, both individual and collective in the country since 2013. She has worked as an illustrator for several fanzines , has done covers and illustrations for bands and murals, among which include "The cultural Bukkake Magazine", he has made publications in Spain and worked as an illustrator for a Spanish company . It opts for traditional techniques , particularly the use of color pencil . In his work we find inspiration and realistic elements of popular culture. Biography: "I dedicate artistic practice since childhood, when I was a kid I was always immersed in fashion magazines and photography, hence drew references. Sometimes lost track of time until the six years they decided to get into painting classes, there I learned to focus on portraits and elements that relate to the body. In my work, I explore feelings, expression and poetry. My most influential artists are Kris Lewis, Casey Weldon and Dino Valls. his paintings some time encouraged me to devote myself to the illustration, contemporary art is an inspiration for me. I'm also a big fan of Van Der Weyden and Sandro Botticelli. I always had this art in my life and I like to think I can reach people with it and people to me in some way." Habiba Green.
Alexandra Levasseur’s “Body of Land” at Mirus Gallery.
Opening on Saturday, March 21st, 2015 at Mirus Gallery in San Francisco, California is Alexandra Levasseur’s solo show “Body of Land.” The show will feature an entirely new body of work from Alexandra with her trademark surreal landscapes surrounding dreamy women who are half there and half imagined.
