“I’ll meet you after dark show me the places where others gave you scars.”
As soon as you walked through the door, you were greeted with a chorus of hello’s from the various Gallaghers that were occupying the kitchen. Grinning, you greeted them back before searching the room for your favorite Gallagher.
“He’s in his room.” Ian spoke, breaking you out of your daze.
“Hm?” You questioned before quickly catching up on what he had said. “Oh, uh, I…I wasn’t-“
Ian chuckled before rolling his eyes. “It’s okay. He’s been texting me every ten minutes asking if you were here yet.”
Heat rose to your cheeks before dancing along the plump skin. Biting the inside of your lip, you attempted to keep the bubbling giddy feeling at bay.
“Go.” Ian chuckled as he observed your sudden change in demeanor. “Go before I get another annoying text.”
Nodding your head, you quickly bounded up the stairs making your way to Carls room. Butterflies erupted in your stomach, as your breathing picked up slightly. Clearing your throat, you lifted your hand to knock.
Just as your hand was about to meet the wood, the door swung open. Jumping slightly, you were taken back by the swift movement.
“Took you long enough.” Carl spoke softly.
It merely took seconds before he wrapped his arms around your waist, gently tugging you into him. The feeling of him nuzzling your neck, quickly took over your mind. Once, the shock wore off, you wrapped your arms around his shoulders, pulling him impossibly closer to you. The warmth he emitted was enough to bring you peace of mind.
“I’ve missed you.” He muttered into your shoulder.
Giggling, you nuzzled closer to him. “I’ve missed you too, Gallagher.”
In a swift movement, Carl had picked you up while shutting the door. Carrying you to his bed, he threw you down on top of it before snuggling beside you.
Laying on your side, you were face to face with Carl.
“Hi.” You grinned, moving closer allowing you to throw your leg over his hip.
Moving his hand, he placed it on your calf gently rubbing the area. A content sigh passed through your lips, while your eyes grew heavier and heavier.
Giving into the feeling, you allowed your eyes to close. The last thing you remember before falling asleep was a gentle kiss upon the tip of your nose.
Jolting awake, your chest rapidly rose and fell. Gasping for air, you couldn’t stop yourself from shaking.
“Hey, hey, you’re okay.” Carl’s voice rang through your ears. “Focus on me.”
Turning towards him, you knew there was a panicked expression on your face, judging by the way his facial features softened even more than usual.
“It’s okay. You’re okay.” He murmured. Leaning over and resting his forehead against yours. His hand found your back, gently rubbing up and down in attempt to calm you down.
Closing your eyes, you focused on his touch and voice. It didn’t take much longer before you were calmed down and relaxing in the previous position you were in with Carl before you had fallen asleep.
“Thanks.” You muttered, not being able to meet Carls hopeful gaze.
Gently grasping your chin, he forced you to gaze into his ocean eyes. “You’re my best friend. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for you.”
Frowning slightly, you felt heat blossoming in your chest.
“What? What is it?”
Letting out a sigh, you shook your head. “It’s…It’s dumb…It’s nothing.”
Scoffing Carl rolled his eyes. “It’s not nothing.”
“It’s just…” Sighing you shook your head. “I…I don’t know.”
Returning your sigh, Carl maneuvered so he was leaning on his elbow. His hand that was rubbing your calf, was now resting on your hip.
“You deserve someone who values you.” Carl spoke softly, almost as if he hoped you wouldn’t hear his confession.
Snapping your eyes up to lock with his, your jaw fell slack slightly as a quiet gasp tumbled passed your lips.
“Yeah?” You questioned, perching yourself up on your elbow so you were level with him. “And who does?” You challenged raising an eyebrow at him.
“Me.” He whispered. Closing the space between you, his nose gently nudged against yours. Closing your eyes, your breath hitched in your throat as you were quickly realizing how hypersensitive to his touch you were.
Carls breath danced along your lips as the proximity got smaller and smaller. “Can…Can I kiss you?”
Smiling you, reached up and curled your fingers in his hair gently tugging him to close the millimeter of space between you.
His lips were much softer than you had imagined as the kiss was much gentler than you had thought. Pulling away, Carls breath mingled with yours while butterflies returned in your stomach.
Before you could stop yourself, the words were quietly tumbling past your lips. “I’ll meet you after dark show me the places where others gave you scars.”

Clint Barton master list
“Ready?” Wanda questioned as she leaned against the door frame of Natasha’s room.
Rolling her eyes, Natasha let out a scoff as she crossed her arms along her chest. “Just waiting on the princess.”
Hopping off her bed, she strolled over to the bathroom door before she began knocking. “Come on, Y/N!” She sighed. “We’re gonna be late!”
——
Gazing at your figure in the mirror, you sighed. Smoothing down the front of your dress you moved your body to slightly check out your backside while glancing over your shoulder.
Natasha had loaned you one of her dresses. It was a skin tight black mini dress, the hem barely kissing the middle of your thighs. The neckline swooped lower than normal, allowing the tops of your breasts to be seen.
As Nat banged on the door, you jumped involuntarily as it downed on you that, you had run out of time to nit pick your figure.
“Coming!” You called through the door as you sighed giving your image a last once over.
Opening the door, you were greeted with beaming smiles of your two best friends.
“Woah.” Natasha spoke, surprise evident in her voice.
“Y/N….” Wanda began. “You…You look-“
“Hot.” Natasha finished for her with a smirk.
The room quickly erupted in giggles between the three of you. All the things you had been insecure about slowly melting away as your friends knew exactly how to lighten the moment.
“Come on, we have some men to make drool.” Natasha spoke, interwining her arm with yours.
Her comment earned a sigh and an eye roll from you. Once you had ventured into the hallway, Wanda quickly intertwined her arm through Natasha free one.
As your trio entered the area that Tony was throwing his party, you instantly felt the heaviness of stares. The subconscious insecurities quickly coming back to you.
“Drinks!” Wanda exclaimed capturing both yours and Natasha’s attention. “I think we need drinks!”
Giggling, you nodded your head in agreement as you allowed your friends to drag you towards the bar.
Once Natasha and Wanda ordered their drinks they had quickly disappeared, leaving you all alone waiting for yours.
—
“You got a little somethin’ right there, Barton.” Natasha smirked as she gestured vaguely to her face.
“W-What?”
“Drool.” Nat chuckled.
“Natasha!” Clint hissed.
“What?” She chuckled giving his shoulder a gentle bump with her own. “I’m just sayin’. “
Clint shook his head as he gave her a slight chuckle. “No you weren’t.”
“No, I wasn’t.” Natasha grinned with a light laugh. “You should tell her how you feel.”
Frowning, he turned to glance at Natasha. “I…I can’t do that.”
“Why not?”
“Because…” His voice trailed off as he let out a heavy sigh. “Because she probably don’t share the same type of feelings.”
“As you best friend, I’m advising you, to take what I said into consideration.” She spoke raising an eyebrow as she lefted upon spotting Bruce.
Letting out another heavy sigh, Clint turned his attention back towards you. He clenched his jaw once he saw the scene before him. You were letting the sweet melody of your giggles into the air as a build brunette chatted you up at the bar. Heat rose in his cheeks as well as traveling up the back of his neck. Clint wasn’t one to harbor jealously, but in this moment, he did.
——
Your laughter filled the air. Once your humor had subsided you lifted your glass to your lips taking a sip.
“Well,” You sighed, keeping your attention on the man. He was showing you clear signs that he found you attractive and that he was interested in you. However, you had your eyes set on a certain archer. Although you were best friends, you didn’t want to ruin the close relationship between you with something as silly as one sided feelings or so you thought.
“Would….Would you like to get dinner sometime?” The man questioned.
He had told you his name earlier in the conversation, however you hadn’t been bothered to remember. As you pondered the thought, you felt an arm wrap around your waist tugging you tight against a built body behind you.
“She’s busy.”
Clint’s voice rang through your ears as his arm wrapped tightly around your waist, in a protective manner.
A shocked gasp falling past your lips at his actions, completely taking you by surprise.
“She never mentioned she had a boyfriend, buddy.” The man taunted, his body stiffened while he leaned against the ledge of the bar.
“She shouldn’t have to.” Clint spoke tightening his jaw.
“Are you guys going to keep referring to me in the third person as if I’m not here or …. ? “ You spoke sassing both men. Turning slightly, you gave Clint a questioning gaze with a raised eyebrow.
“Shit, sorry-“
Letting out a sigh, you rolled your eyes. Downing the rest of your drink, you lightly slammed it on the ledge, before manuvering around either man.
“I’m outtie 5000.” You spat turning towards the dance floor, in search of your Two friends.
Clint let out an exasperated sigh.
———
As time passed by, you enjoyed dancing with Natasha and Wanda in the middle of the dance floor.
Shared giggles were shared between you. A few men tried to infiltrate the small circle however none were successful. Each of you letting out a huff along with an eye roll of annoyance.
It wasn’t much longer before you felt a pair of firm calloused hands, land on your hips. Turninng around in their arms, you were ready to spit a sarcastic remark at them. Quickly, it died in your throat as Y/E/C gazed into a set of familiar blue ones.
“Clint?” You questioned scrunching your eyebrows together in slight confusion.
“Hi.” He spoke gently, offering you his signature smile.
Frowning, you tilted your head slightly as you gazed at him.
“W-What’re you doing?”
“What?” He chuckled. “Can’t I dance with my favorite person?”
Before you could stop it, a gasp tumbled from your lips. “I’m….I’m your favorite person?”
A light laugh fell from his lips, causing his chest to rumble beneath your hand that you hadn’t realized was resting there. The gentle feeling capturing your attention.
“Why wouldn’t you be?” He questioned tilting his head towards the side.
Not allowing you to answer, he wrapped his arms further around your waist, gently tugging you closer towards him, yet giving you enough time to reject him or pull away. When you didn’t Clint held you firm against him. His chest was pressed to yours, along with your hips. Leaning down, he allowed his forehead to rest against yours, while your breaths mingled together.
Closing your eyes, you allowed yourself to be in the moment. The stereos of the club bumping with whatever music they deemed popular. Other club members dancing and grinding to their heart’s desire.
“Do you want to get out of here?” Clint questioned. His jaw clenching tightly once the words had slipped past his lips.
Grinning, you nodded your head. “Please.”
Manuvering himself to lead you out of the club, he held a hand out for you to take. Butterflies erupted in your stomach. Placing your hand within his, he intertwined your fingers, allowing you to keep together through the crowd of people.
Once you were outside, the stale, heavy air of the club, was quickly replaced with refreshed and lightness.
Taking a deep breath, you closed your eyes allowing yourself to enjoy the feeling. However, in your slightly drunken state, you hadn’t realized you had begun to sway and tumble to the ground.
Clint swiftly wrapped his arms around your waist, holding you up right. For the third time that night, you had found yourself in contact with his chest.
Letting out a soft whine at the warmth he provided, he chuckled. The same rumble you had felt before quickly returning.
Releasing his hold on you, he quickly shrugged off his jacket before he placed it around your shoulders. Letting out a giddy squeal, you slid your arms into the sleeves. Clint’s aroma coursing through your senses. Your mind hazy with the thoughts and smell of him. Everything was Clint.
“Hey.” Clint spoke gently. His hands resting comfortably on your waist. “You okay?” His eyebrows furrowed together in concern.
Grinning to yourself, you bit your bottom lip. A soft hum leaving your lips.
Placing a finger beneath your chin, Clint gently forced you to gaze at him. “Did you hear me, baby love?”
Gaping at him, you felt the butterflies erupt in your stomach once again. “N-No.” You admitted.
Grinning to down at you, he leaned forward allowing his nose to gently rub along yours. His breath mingling with yours, while invisible sparks enveloped you as heat danced along your cheeks.
“Are you okay?” Clint’s voice seemed to somehow dropped an octave. His voice becoming much more hoarse than it was before.
“Oh.” You breathed against his lips. Your hands finding his shirt beneath them. Grasping the fabric, your balled the material in your hands gently tugging him the slight distance that was between you.
Your lips brushing against his, Clint found himself at a loss for words for the first time all night. Without missing a beat, you could see him take a sharp breath at your actions, while his hands tightened around your waist. Giggling, you had drunkenly decided that you were going to tease him.
Since you could remember, there was always a feeling of something more between you and Clint. Neither of you wanting to be the first one to crack. However, as of late, the tension had become unbareable. Not just to the pair of you, but to everyone around you. Your mutual friends had even begun attempting to get the pair of you together. Your friends mostly being Wanda and Natasha.
Giggling, you decided to poke your tongue out and trace the seam of his lips. Your actions taking Clint by surprise. Taking another sharp breath, he let out a groan.
The sweet melody of the noise he made, caused you to let out a moan in return. Tightening your grip upon Clint’s shirt, you gently tugged him until he was firmly pressed along you. Before you knew it, your hands were buried in his hair, while he maneuvered you to a nearby wall pinning you beneath him.
Gasping at the chilled sensation, he took the opportunity and placed his lips upon yours. Sharing a groan, Clint pressed himself further into you while you allowed your hands to travel along the plains of his muscular back.
Pressing his lips to the corner of your mouth, he began descending along your jaw and throat. It wasn’t until you felt the graze of his teeth, that you realized where you were and what you were doing.
“W-Wait.” You panted, feeling your chest rise and fall at a rapid pace.
Clint halted his actions immediately. His hands were swiftly off your body and onto the wall behind you, earning a soft whine from your lips. Pushing himself away, he gazed at you with alarmed eyes.
“I’m…I’m sorry…” He breathed out, guilt immediately washed over his features.
“No, it’s… It’s okay.” You sighed, grasping his shirt tugging him back into you. “We….We should take this somewhere else….Please.”
Grinning at you, he placed a soft kiss to your lips. Nipping at your bottom lip, he nodded his head.
———
Hailing a cab. You slid in, impatiently tugging Clint in behind you. Telling the cab driver directions to the compound, you nearly jumped his bones. Tugging him into you, there was a shared giggle of happiness. Reminding you much like a giddy school girl crush.
Kissing his lips, it was your turn to nip at him. A quieted groan sounded from him. Slipping your tongue passed his lips, you licked into his mouth. Clint’s hands wrapped around you keeping you snug against him. Giving a gentle tug to the ends of his hand, another groan surpassed his lips and into yours.
Smiling into the kiss, you hand untangled yourself from him just in time to arrive at home. Once the cab driver was paid, you both had bolted out of the cab and into the compound.
As you both ventured through the hallways, your stumbles and giggles bounced off the walls. Supporting each other, you nearly tripped and sent you both tumbling to the floor.
Bellowing in laughter, you had finally arrived at Clint’s room. Once you both had passed through the threshold, shoes and clothes came off.
“Here.” Clint spoke gently, giving you a small stack of clothes. “I’ll be in the hallway.”
Leaving the room, you bit your lip as the butterflies fluttered around your tummy. Giddiness overwhelming you. Spinning around, you quickly realized how terrible of an idea that was.
Once you had finished changing, your senses were overloaded by Clint again. His shirt was much too big for you, stopping past mid thigh while his pajama pants fit a tad baggy.
Opening the door, you peer into the hall to find Clint gazing at the ceiling while leaning against the wall.
“Well, hello there handsome.” You spoke softly, leaning against the door frame. Gazing at him softly, you could see the slightly tint of a rose color making its’ way along his cheeks. “Are you looking for someone?”
“Yeah.” He responded with a grin, making his way towards his room. “You.”
Squealing you attempted to move swiftly, but the drinks from the bar gave you false hope.
Wrapping his arms around your waist, he gave you a gentle squeeze while lifting you off the ground. The sound of shared giggles filling the room.
“You look…” Clint’s voice trailed off, once he placed you back on your feet. Turning to face him, you bit your lip. Lifting his hand to cradle your jaw, his thumb made its way towards your lips, tugging your lip from between your teeth.
“Breath taking.”
Grinning at his confession, you quickly rolled your eyes. “Have you gone soft on me, Barton?” You teased, giving him a poke in his stomach.
Jolting away from you he let out a surprised groan. “Me? Never.”
Giggling, you shook your head before crawling into his bed. Clint promptly moved around his room before he changed into a pair of pajamas, and climbed into bed beside you.
Turning on your side, you gazed at the archer beside you. Catching your staring, he mirrored your position. Reaching up, he began lacing his fingers through your hair, lightly playing with it.
You were the One to break the silence first. “You know,” Your voice was dripping in sarcasm.
Clint hummed in acknowledgement.
“When we agreed to go to bed together, this isn’t exactly what I had in mind.” You spoke feeling butterflies arise.
“Oh?” He spoke moving closer towards you, gently nudging his nose against yours. “And what exactly did you have in mind?”
“Well,” Your voice trailed off, as you pondered in thought.
Raising an eyebrow, Clint was quickly becoming impatient.
“Well, this.” You spoke giggling. “But with food.”
Letting out a bellowing laugh, you quickly joined in.
“You know, I did too.”
“See!” You exclaimed excitedly. “This is why we’re best friends!”
“Is that what we are?” Clint questioned, his voice giving away the slight hurt he was feeling.
“I-I…” Your voice broke off as you gazed at him. “I…I was hoping not.”
Frowning Clint scrunched his eyebrows together as he tried to wrack his brain.
Letting out a sigh, your mind attempted to stop you, but you were fed up with the slow movement of things between you.
“To hell with it.” You murmured. “What’re you doing tomorrow night?”
“Uh…Well…” Clint spoke as he attempted to recall what he was doing. “Nothing..”
“How would you like to go on a date?” You questioned leaning up on your arm, allowing you to tower over him. “With me?” Your voice waivered slightly as you felt a slight uneasiness wash over you.
“I would like that.” Clint responded with a grin. Wrapping his arms around your waist, he gently tugged you down onto him.

“Now that the mission’s over,” Harley piped up, her voice laced with something you couldn’t quite put your finger on.
Letting out a sigh, you knew whatever she brought up, wouldn’t be good. Pinching the bride of your nose, you heard the soft chuckle of Rick beside you. Smirking slightly, you gave him a gentle nudge with your shoulder.
“Are you gonna go on any dates with some good lookin’ guys?”
Groaning quietly, you rolled your eyes. “C’mon Harley…” You shook your head, attempting to ignore the heat that rose in your cheeks. The helicopter was suddenly quiet, with almost everyone’s eyes weighing heavily on you. Letting out a sigh, you rubbed your hands along your face. “No. No, I’m not.”
“Seriously, Y/N/N?” Harley snorted. “We survived yet anotha’, near death mission, and you aren’t going to take advantage of that?!”
“I do plan to take advantage of it, just not in the way you think.” Shrugging, you dropped your gaze to your lap. Biting the inside of your lip, you hoped to keep the one secret you were holding onto wouldn’t accidentally slip out.
Before she could continue pressing you, the helicopter jostled causing everyone to shift unvoluntarily. Silence quickly fell over the group. Harley let out a huff, seemingly satisfied by the lack there of your answer.
Once you were done with your mission report, you grabbed your bag and shut your office door. Letting out a sigh, you couldn’t stop yourself from the giddy feeling that had began bubbling up. With Christmas arriving, you were allotted a few days off for said holiday.
Shaking your head, you brought yourself out of your slight haze. Turning on your heel, you began descending down the hall towards where you were parked. It wasn’t long before you walked straight into a wall of firm muscle. The sound of Rick’s gentle laughter filled your ears. His hands quickly jolting out and steadying you before you could topple over.
“Where are you going in such a rush?”
“Huh? Oh, uh-“ Raising your head to gaze into his eyes, you were surprised to see his features etched with a rare softness. Something you’ve rarely seen as of late. “N-No where.”
“Right.” He sighed, shaking his head. Rolling his eyes, he let go of his hold on you, before stepping around you. His steps unusually heavy sounding. Almost as if, his disappointment reached from head to toe.
“Rick?” You questioned spinning around on your heel.
Halting his movements, he turned cautiously towards you. Without a word he gave you a questioning eyebrow.
“Um.” You cleared your throat. Your palms began growing sweaty, as you shifted from foot to foot. “There’s….There’s something I have to show you.”
Turning further around towards you, your view was met with the plains of his chest. The firm muscle moving slightly with each breath he took.
“Meet me at my place?” You questioned wearily. Dropping your attention to your hands, you were suddenly engrossed with the curves of your palms, despite the slight dampness that was long them. “I’ll…I’ll make you dinner-“
“Sounds like a plan, sweetheart.”
Taking in a sharp breath you nodded. Without another word, you turned towards the exit, rushing slightly to your car.
———
I’ll Have a Holly Jolly Christmas with you.
The sound of Christmas music echoing through your apartment. Smirking to yourself, you knew your child was behind it, somehow talking the babysitter into playing some of their favorite tunes.
“Honey, I’m home!” You called as you made your way into the entry of your apartment. Toeing off your shoes, you quickly discarded your jacket and purse.
“Mommy! Mommy!”
Grinning to yourself, you felt heat blossom in your chest. Hearing a tiny voice call you mom, was one of the things that brought you pure joy.
Kneeling down, you opened your arms wide as you awaited a small body to collide with yours. As smaller arms wrapped around your larger form, you mirrored their position. Nuzzling the top of their head, you placed eager kisses there.
“How was your day, baby love?”
“It was good! We made cookies and played in the snow!” Their excited voice rang through your ears.
“Yeah?” You questioned happily as you awaited for their to give you more details on the activities they did.
As they went on about their day, you hummed while nodding along eagerly. Removing themselves from you, they quickly rushed back towards the sitter.
“Thanks again, for coming on such short notice.” You spoke, frowning slightly as you thought back to your urgent messages.
“Of course.” They shrugged.
Nodding your head, you moved towards your purse. Digging around the inside for your wallet, you quickly paid the sitter releaving them from their duties.
Sighing, you began moving around the kitchen in attempt to make dinner. Your eyes began drooping as you let out another yawn. Scrunching your lips, you gave in and finally decided to order a pizza instead.
Y/K/N, was perched on the couch, watching their favorite Christmas movie. Plopping down beside them, you rested your arm along the back of the couch. Y/K/N quickly snuggled into your welcoming side. Smiling to yourself, you grasped the blanket that was usually along the couch and tugged it over Y/K/N.
As time passed, you were fighting between slumber and watching the movie. Sighing you had almost given in, until the sound of someone knocking, captured your attention. Furrowing your eyebrows, you slide out from beneath Y/K/N. Their focus was on the movie allowing you to sneakily make your movements.
Opening the door, you grasped a $20 bill in your hand ready to pay the pizza delivery person.
Gasping, you were taken back. Standing before you, stood Rick, holding the pizza.
Chuckling quietly, Rick gazed at your appearance. Once you had arrived at home, you promptly changed into your comfy after work clothes. Clothes that included a pair of ratty old sweats along with a shirt that had small holes and random stains developing. Your makeup from the day had been long removed, while you had thrown your hair up into a messy bun.
“Fuck.” You muttered under your breath, dropping your gaze to your socks.
With your gaze cast downward, you had missed the admiration stare Rick was giving you.
The sound of rustling behind you, brought you back to reality. Taking in a sharp breath, you snapped your eyes back to the tall built man in front of you.
“Rick, uh, there’s….There’s something I have to tell you-“
Before you got a chance, you were quickly greeted with a smaller body hugging your leg. Peering around the limb, they cast a shy gaze to the towering man.
Glancing up at Rick, you attempted to gauge his reaction. Being friends with Rick for so many years, allowed you the closeness that you needed to be able to understand one another.
While you studied his face, you felt a slightly tug on your pants.
“Mommy?”
Kneeling down, you were face to face with Y/K/N. Standing between your knees, they placed their hands upon your shoulders giggling.
“Y/K/N, this is Rick Flag.” You spoke turning towards the man.
Clearing his throat, he maneuvered himself to be in a crouching position. “I’m Rick.” Extending his hand, he offered a saddened smile.
Furrowing your eyebrows, you frowned. Your mind began racing a mile a minute.
“Y/K/N.” They responded placing their tiny hand in Rick’s much larger one. Gazing at their connection, you made a silent note of teeny tiny your child looked compared to Rick.
——
As the night went on, Rick grew more and more comfortable. Once dinner was finished, you stood in the kitchen washing the few dirtied plates. Sound of laughter filled your ears.
“Why didn’t you tell me?” Rick’s sudden husky voice caught you by surprise. Jumping slightly, you turned to gaze at him over your shoulder.
Sighing, you knew he would ask. It was the dreaded question you knew he would bring up. Turning your attention back towards the remaining dishes, you quickly finished up before reaching for a hand towel and drying your hands.
Letting out a heavy sigh, you leaned back against the counter. “Because.”
Crossing his arms, he gave you a silently questioning gaze as he raised an eyebrow.
“Because…” Your voice trailed off. “Because I didn’t want Waller to find out.”
“And you think I would tell her?”
As he spoke, you flinched slightly as you heard the pain that was laced in his voice.
Sighing, you shook your head. “No.”
“Then-“
“I wanted to protect them.” You spoke nodding your head in the direction of your living room. “Our line of work isn’t really sunshine and rainbows.”
Silence enveloped the pair of you. Sighing, you rubbed along your face.
Before either of you could respond, the gentle sound of piter patter sang through your ears.
“Mommy?” The sweet sound of Y/C/N, danced along the walls.
“Yes baby?” You questioned reaching down and pulling them into your arms.
To the best of their ability, they wrapped their small arms around your neck, while they nuzzled the side of your face. Placing a chaste kiss to your cheek, they rested their forehead against you.
As you were holding your child, you lightly traced along their spine. In return you were greeted with a gentle shutter from them. Smirking to yourself, you attempted to commit the moment to memory.
“I see.” Rick’s deep voice startling you once again.
Snapping your gaze to his, it was your turn to give him a questioning eyebrow.
Before Rick could respond, Y/C/N made grabby hands at him. Freezing, you both stared at one another as if you were a deer in headlights. Your mouth suddenly becoming dry as you knew the color from your cheeks drained.
Clearing his throat, Rick seemed to gaze at you silently asking for permission. The corner of your mouth twitched upward as you gave him a quick nod.
The sound of Rick taking in a sharp breath bounced in your ears. It wasn’t long before Y/C/N, was happily in Rick’s arms. Reaching up, they played with his mustache, before they were entranced with his larger than life hand.
You giggled as they cautiously gazed at one another.
After awhile, the three of you had maneuvered to the couch. In between you and Rick was Y/C/N. Snuggled beneath the blanket, they were perched against him deep in slumber.
Glancing down at them, you couldn’t stop the warmth that seemed to spread from head to toe.
“You’re the only person from work to meet them.” You muttered quietly towards Rick. “You’re actually the first…Adult, besides the family and our sitter, to meet them.”
Turning his attention down towards, Y/C/N, Rick’s lips began forming an all too familiar smile.
Before either of you could continue, the sound of Y/C/N, moving around interrupted. Both of you gazing down at the child. Making his way to his feet, he gently lifted Y/C/N into his arms, taking the blanket that was over them, with him.
Lifting his eyes to your gaze, you pointed at the door that was Y/C/N room. Nodding his head, he entered the room almost as quickly as he had exited. Shutting the door quietly, he returned to the living room.
Perching on the couch, you began gathering the movie supplies that had been taken out at the instance of Y/C/N. Reaching down, Rick silently began helping you.
Once the task was done, you began playing a different movie. You decided on your favorite Christmas one. Rick quietly sat beside you.
Leaning up, you placed a hand on his shoulder gently tugging him to look at you. Everything happened so quick it was like a blur. One minute you were focused on getting Rick to talk to you, and the next he hand your face between his warm large hands. His nose nudging against yours as his breath fanned along your lips.
Your mouth began watering at the thought of kissing Rick. Butterflies erupted in your stomach as you leaned against the back of the couch.
“Can I kiss you?” He questioned millimeters between your lips.
“Yes-“
Once the word had passed through your lips, Rick pounced. His lips were gentle and cautious. As soon as it began, it was over. Letting out a whine, you reached up, lacing your fingers in his hair, tugging him back in for a deeper kiss. Your tongue traced along the seam of his lips. Opening his mouth, you could taste the hot chocolate with a hint of peppermint. Something you had made earlier that night.
Sighing into the kiss, you were the one to break the kiss this time. Panting, you rested your forehead against Rick’s. Your chest rapidly rising and falling as butterflies fluttered around in your stomach.
“You have no idea how long I’ve waited to do that.” Rick’s voice brought you back to reality.
Grinning, your response was cut off by a louder than normal Christmas commercial during Y/F/M. Jumping slightly, you both pulled away. Giggling, you reached for the remote and turned the volume down. Gently tossing it back onto the coffee table, you allowed Rick to pull you into his embrace.
Resting your head on his chest, you gently grasped his waist while tangling your legs together. Reaching for the other blanket on the couch, Rick pulled it along you both. Lifting his head, he placed an arm behind his head, while the other wrapped around your waist.
Gently, he absentmindedly traced shapes on the revealed skin from your shirt riding up. Leaning down, he placed a kiss to the crown of your head. Yawning, you felt your eyelids grow heavier as you listened to the steady beating of Rick’s heart, lulling you to sleep.

Seeing red, your heart began rapidly beating. Gazing around the hallway, you were on a mission to find someone. Passer buyers, skeptically gazed at you making sure to keep their distance from you.
Growling to yourself, you finally found your prey. It took no time at all before you were before him.
“Oh, Y/N.” Steve spoke with widened eyes.
“Why’d you take me off the mission?” You all by snarled. Steam practically blew out of your ears as you clenched your fists.
“Oh. That.” Steve huffed, reaching up to scratch the back of his neck. He gazed around the hallway attempting to look anywhere but in front of him where you stood.
“Yeah. That.” You spat through gritted teeth. “So?”
“Look…I didn’t want to…It’s just…”
“Just what?” You questioned crossing your arms along your chest, while raising an eyebrow at him.
“Uh..”
“It’s not Steve’s fault.” Tony’s voice came from slightly down the hall.
Snapping your head in his direction, you scrunched your eyebrows together as all the previously harbored anger melted away.
“Did…Did I do something?” You frowned, dropping your gaze to your shoes.
Tony quickly joined you and Steve. Lifting his hand, he attempted to grasp your shoulder. Flinching away from his touch, you gazed at both men. Each sharing an expression of sorrow.
Letting out a sigh, you shook your head. Before you knew it, your feet carried you to your bedroom not allowing either man to finish explaining to you. Shutting the door, you leaned against it before sliding down to the floor, where you brought your knees to your chest, snaking your arms around your legs. Leaning down, you rested your forehead against your knees. Tears that you hadn’t previously noticed forming began rolling down the plains of your cheeks dripping onto your shirt. Silent sobs wrecked through your body as shook slightly in the process.
—————————
Your heart practically began beating out of your chest, as you drummed your fingers along the steering wheel. The stop light shown a red that was bounced off the nearby surfaces, while illuminating your face.
You had made up your mind and decided you needed to take some time for yourself. Hoping into your car, there was no destination in mind besides the overwhelming need to get out of dodge.
Letting out an impatient huff, you hoped the destination would come and find you along the way. Glancing at the clock it was early morning. The streets where quiet, only cars of those traveling or getting off their night shifts, on the road. Gas stations and 24 hour businesses being the only things open at this hour.
—————————
“Jarvis?” Tony questioned.
“Yes, Mr. Stark.”
“Never mind.” Tony groaned, placing his elbows on the work table allowing him to rub along his face in frustration.
“May I offer a piece of advice?” Bruce questioned, leaning against the door frame with crossed arms.
Turning in his chair, he crossed his arms along his chest as he nodded quietly signaling for his friend to continue.
“I think you should just tell her how you feel.”
Letting out a huff, he rolled his eyes. “You know I can’t do that, Bruce.”
Raising an eyebrow at Tony, he scoffed. “And why’s that?”
“Because.” He hissed, moving to stand in front of Bruce. “There’s… There’s…” Struggling to find the right words, Tony shook his head dropping his eyes to his shoes.
“Because of the age difference?” Bruce finished for him.
“How did you know?”
“Tony.” Bruce rolled his eyes lifting a corner of his lips. “We’ve been friends for a long time. It would be hard not to know.”
Nodding his head, Tony allowed his shoulder’s to slump slightly.
“Who cares? If you both have the same feelings for one another, why let a silly thing like age stop you?”
Frowning at his words he, glanced up at Bruce eyes holding his emotions.
“Since she’s joined the team…This…This has been the happiest I’ve seen you…Hell, the happiest I’ve seen either of you.” Bruce spoke giving his friend a toothy grin.
I just realized how I rarely post anything about my personal life… i just didn’t think anyone would be interested in hearing about it… send me some asks to get to know me😊
Summary: Suffering from Insomnia, the reader finds herself in an untraditional situation with a certain Slytherin.
Draco Malfoy Masterlist
As you ventured through the halls, you took note of the quietness that surrounded you. Gazing around, pictures were tucking themselves in for bed while a few were still moving around.
Turning your gaze back to the window, you approached the ledge peered out of the glass. Darkness enveloped the trees as well as the land surrounding the castle.
The longer you stood there, the more time had passed by you undetected. It wasn’t until the sound of rushing feet, that you realized where you were, and what you were doing.
Taking a step back, you gazed around the hall attempting to identify the sound. Just as you looked down the hall, there was a flash of a platinum blonde.
“Draco?” You whispered to yourself, furrowing your eyebrows together.
Facing in the direction he retreated in, you scurried down the hall. At that moment, you were thankful for insomnia you suffered from, along with the quietness of your slippers. You weren’t wearing pajamas, but you weren’t wearing normal clothes either. Before you left your room, you had decided on a pair of sweat pants and a plain tee, with one of your favorite dusters swinging behind you with every step you took. As you approached the corner Draco had disappeared around, your stomach began fluttering while your heart was beating out of your chest. Swallowing a lump forming in your throat, you leaned back against the wall hoping to prepare yourself for any type of revelation you would be stumbling upon.
Taking a deep breath, it was now or never. Kicking off the wall, you cautiously made your way around it. Floating down the hall, your heard voices. Jolting behind one of the pillars, you leaned against it while you could hear your heartbeat in your ears.
“….Draco.”
While you hadn’t been able to hear the entirety of the conversation, you did get confirmation of seeing Draco. Contemplating staying hidden and risk being found and rushing to safety, popped into your mind. Lifting your thumb to your mouth, you began nibbling along the nail bed skin.
Making up your mind, you were just about to leave when the blonde in question was standing before you.
His frosty eyes flashed with panic before returning to normal. Gazing at him with widened eyes, you opened and closed your mouth several times before deciding against it.
“Draco?” A husky voice questioned, his voice becoming closer and closer with each passing second.
Gasping, your heart began beating rapidly, as your palms became covered in a thin layer of sweat. Draco was quick on his feet, pressing his chest against yours, causing your back to come in contact with the cool marble of the pillar. Clasping his hand over your lips, he muffled another gasp.
Turning his head toward the hallway, his cheek brushed against yours. “Yeah?” He questioned the unknown stranger.
While standing there, you were enveloped with the aroma of him. It gave you a comforting feeling, a type of feeling that one would associate with home, or safety. The light brush of facial skin contact, was enough to send a different type of fluttering in your stomach. Something, you would get when you had dated your ex, a feeling that had grown foreign to you.
Before you could stop yourself, you turned your head to face Draco. You gently moved your head up and down, allowing your nose to gently brush against the skin of his cheek that was closest to you. Draco’s eyes fluttered close as you heard his breath catch in his throat.
Turning to face you, Draco’s nose bumped yours. His hand remained gently clasped over your lips. Gazing at his ocean eyes, they became clouded with something you couldn’t identify. Gently, Draco moved his face allowing his nose to move side to side along yours. Quietly, you began panting against the palm of his hand while you lifted your hands to his waist, taking him by surprise.
“Status report, Draco!”
A harsh voice yelled closing in on the pillar you and Draco were behind.
“Y-Yeah, it was nothing.”
“You sure are taking a long time for nothing.”
Placing his lips to your forehead, he unwrapped himself from you before lifting his pointer finger to his lips in a ‘Shh,’ movement. Nodding your head, you gave him a silent confirmation.
“Coming!” Draco spat replacing the soft expression he was previously wearing with a hardened irritated one.
The sound of Draco and the man leaving down the hall, caused you to breathe out a sigh of relief. Rushing out of the area, you made your way back to your bedroom.
Giddiness enveloped you as you thought of what had happened between you and Draco. Through the years, Draco had become more and more flirtatious with you, however, you paid no mind to it chalking it up to his personality.
Weeks passed since that night which also happened to be the last time you had seen Draco. Walking through the hall crowded with your classmates, you frowned as you didn’t see the platnium blonde.
Letting out a sigh, you shook your head.
“What’s wrong with you?” Ron questioned as he joined your side, giving you a teasing bump in process.
“N-Nothing.” You spoke quicker than you would’ve liked.
“Uh huh.” He responded giving you glance filled with sketpisim.
Scoffing you rolled your eyes. “You’re one to talk.” You grinned. “How’s operation Hermoine?”
“Shh!” Ron whispered shouted, as he glanced around fearfully. “Don’t say her name outloud.”
“Why?” You giggled, allowing Ron to pull you to a halt on the side of the hallway, away from the sea of students. “She’s not He Who-“
Clasping a hand upon your lips, he didn’t give you chance to finish your sentence. More giggles erupted from you in process.
“Bloody Hell, Y/N.” Ron groaned rolling his eyes.
Opening your mouth slightly, you snaked your tongue out licking Ron’s palm. Snatching the appendage from you, Ron shrieked. “Oui!”
Bellowing laughter you supplied, bounced off the nearing empty halls. Turning away from Ron, you caught the sight of an infamous platinum blonde. Gazing at him like a deer in headlights, your jaw fell slightly.
“Draco…”
Shaking his head, he turned on the heel of his foot before rushing down the hallway.
“What was that about?” Ron questioned furrowing his eyebrows together as he stood beside you perplexed.
“It…It was nothing.” You shrugged, dropping your gaze to your shoes.
“ ‘Sure didn’t seem like nothin.” Ron thought aloud.
Turning to face him, you tilted your head slightly. “Ronald! Y/N!” Hermione yelled from across the hall. “We have to get to class! Or we’ll get in trouble!”
Both you and Ron let out arguements as she placed her hand between both of your shoulder blades pushing you ahead of her towards class.
Frowning, you attempted to wrack your brain as to why Draco suddenly showed up after all time. Why had he looked hurt? Was your mind playing tricks on you?
Just before Hermoine finished pushing you and Ron into the classroom, you saw Draco sitting in Ron’s usual seat beside you.

Summary: What happens when the reader falls into a sleep spell?
Loki Masterlist
Grinning to yourself, you stood before your apartment door. The sound of giggles were carried into the hall, while the warm feeling of security overwhelmed you. Somersaults erupted in your stomach at the thought of the events happening behind the door.
Shaking your head, you unlocked the door before making your way inside. Toeing off your shoes, you placed your belongings on the table you had in the entry way.
Your grin hadn’t faltered from your lips. Carefully, you attempted to make your way quietly towards the giggles. Reaching the doorway, you peered around the edge. Your jaw falling slack slightly at the sight before you regained composure.
Playing out before you, was your two daughters laughing while throwing flour and other baking ingredients at Loki. He stood before them with genuine laughter erupting from him. His smile and joy reaching his eyes. Something you hadn’t seen for months.
Crossing your arms along your chest, you leaned back against the wall taking in the sight. When one of your daughters reached for frosting and smeared it upon Loki’s nose, you couldn’t stop the bout of laughter that erupted from you.
Capturing their attention, the three of them quickly turned to a deer in headlights.
“What?” You giggled, carefully making your way towards them. “Don’t stop on my account.”
Grinning you grabbed a hand full of flour.
Loki gave you a knowing glare. “Don’t you-“
He was quickly cut off by flour hitting him square in the chest.
“Dare.” He sighed, playfully pretending to be annoyed.
“Oops.” You spoke sweetly giving him your best ‘apologetic’ grin.
A mischievous glint sparkled in his eyes. Knowing what that meant, you quickly bolted out of the kitchen and down the hall. Loki was on your heels before he wrapped his arms around your waist securely, earning a shriek from you.
Shaking with laughter, Loki held you close to him allowing your back to be pressed to his chest. His aroma wafted into your nose with an underwhelming scent of flour, and sugar.
Once you had both calmed down, you turned around in his arms taking him by surprise. As he gazed down at you, his arms tightened slightly. Reaching up, you gently swiped your finger along his nose taking the frosting from him before popping it into your mouth.
Before anything could happen, the sound of feet rushing towards you caught your attention. Attempting to take a step away from Loki, he let out a quiet whine tightening his arms not allowing space between you.
Gaping at him in surprise, arms wrapped around you and Loki pulling you both, into a welcoming hug.
“We missed you!”
Grinning, you nodded your head in agreement. “I missed my girls too.”
“Now, lets get cleaned up for dinner shall we?”
Once you were released from Loki and your daughter’s grip, reluctantly you made your way towards the kitchen. Letting out a sigh, you were greeted with a horrible mess. Squeezing your eyes shut, you pinched the bridge of your nose, a frustrated sigh passed through your lips.
Firm hands gripped your hips, before your back was met with a firm chest. “Don’t worry petal, I’ll clean it up.”
“I…I can’t ask you to do that.” You murmured opening your eyes to a clean kitchen. “H-How…”
Leaning down, his lips brushed the shell of your ear. His breath danced along the tender skin, causing goosebumps to erupt along your arms. Closing your eyes, you arched your back slightly enjoying the intimate moment.
“Magic.”
Grabbing your chin with his thumb and index finger, Loki’s breath danced along the seam of your lips. Reaching around, you gently grabbed his hips keeping him held upon you.
The moment was quickly shattered by the sound of your daughters coming towards the kitchen. You were quick to move away from Loki, feeling your heart fall into your stomach.
After dinner, your daughters chose the movie for the night, settling upon Snow White.
It wasn’t long after the movie started, that your daughters had fallen asleep. Glancing at Loki, you were taken back by your daughter curled beside him, using his stomach as a pillow. While Loki ran his hand up and down her back in a soothing motion.
Sensing your gaze, he turned to face you. Gasping when you realized you had been caught, you offered him a warm closed lip smile in which he returned. Your other daughter had curled beside you, using you as a pillow as well.
Reaching across the couch, Loki boldly grasped your hand. His thumb gently rubbing along the back of it. As the movie continued to play, you felt your eyelids begin to grow heavy. Surrendering to the feeling, you allowed sleep to overwhelm you.
“Petal.”
The sound of Loki’s voice danced along your ears, the more you came to, the more you felt heat under Loki’s touch. Letting out a whimper, you shook your head attempting to further sink into your blanket.
Loki’s chuckle filled your ears. “Alright, petal. Just this once.” He murmured.
Before you knew it, you were being lifted from the couch and into the air. It wasn’t much longer before you were wrapped in the warmth that was Loki. Nuzzling into his neck, he shook lightly signaling his chuckle. Grinning to yourself, you placed a gentle kiss to his skin.
Placing you gently on your bed, he wrapped your blanket around you. Reaching out you grasped Loki’s wrist, preventing him from retreating any farther than he already had.
“Stay?”
Nodding his head, he quickly made his way around you crawling beneath the blankets. Wrapping his arms around your waist, you fell asleep together.
Waking up, you attempted to make your way out of bed without waking Loki. Once you had successfully done so, you made your way to the kitchen after you had done your morning routine.
The sound of a gentle knock captured your attention. Opening the door, you gazed around not seeing anyone, taking a step into the hall you were greeted with a basket filled with apples.
Grinning to yourself, you reached for the note.
“Just one bite and all your dreams will come true.”
Frowning, you furrowed your eyebrows together. Grabbing the basket, you made your way back inside. Placing the basket on the counter, you gazed the fruit. They seemed to have a hypnotic sense to them. Reaching into the basket, you picked the shiniest one in hopes of it being juicy. Lifting the apple you took a bite.
It wasn’t long before everything went dark causing you to fall into a deep slumber.
Loki groaned as he woke up. Reaching to the side of the bed you had previously occupied, he was greeted with an empty space. The sheets emitted a slight chill letting him know you had been up for a few hours.
Tossing the blankets off, he went about his morning routine. Following the illuminating kitchen light, Loki grinned in hopes of finding you dancing about. Something you often did.
Frowning, he was met with a chilled, dreary, empty kitchen. Glancing around, his eyes landed on a basket filled with fruit. Furrowing his eyebrows together he let out a confused noise. It wasn’t until he glanced towards the floor that he saw you sleeping with an apple bitten into.

Jay Gatsby Masterlist
The sound of summer jazz swirled through your ears, as you walked under the scorching New York sun. The beads from your dress kissing your legs with each step, while your heels clicked upon each contact with the pavement.
As you were walking to the lunch, you observed more people out and about now, than there had been all summer long. With your mind preoccupied you hadn’t been paying attention to where you were walking. It wasn’t until you walked straight into a wall of muscle, that your mind returned back to earth, followed by the clinking of various items tumbling from your purse. Frowning, you kneeled down beginning to gather the contents.
“Oh, I’m so sorry!” The familiar voice cried. Helping you pick up your scattered belongings.
“Its-“ Lifting your gaze, you were greeted with the familiar features of your cousin. “Nick?”
“Y-Yeah?” He answered lifting his gaze from the ground while his eyebrows scrunhed together in confusion. “Y/N?”
A toothy grin made it’s way upon your lips, throwing your arms around his shoulders, you yanked him in for a bonecrushing hug. “I’ve missed you so much!”
The sound of Nick’s chuckles sang through your ears. Wrapping an arm around your waist, he reciprocated your hug. Pulling away from him you, gathered your belongings and shoved them into your purse.
“Come, you have to see Daisy!” You exclaimed giving Nick a beaming smile. Grapsing his wrist, you tugged him the rest of the way to lunch. In the short time it took to arrive, you had forgotten about the vexing heat.
Standing before the host, he led both of you to the secluded area that Daisy had chosen. In seconds, you were before your sister, practically beaming, until you spotted a familiar brown head. Your excitment had come to a screeching halt as your smile faltered.
“Y/N, dear, there you are!” Daisy spoke with false uncertainty. Placing her cup down on the table, putting her previous conversation on hold. “We were beginning to wonder where you were.”
Letting out a hum, you weren’t convinced in the slightest. “Right, look who I found!” You turned back to Nick who had been staring at you the whole time. “It’s Nick!”
“Oh, yes!” Daisy smiled, moving to greet Nick in the typical fashion, rather than someone who was family.
Rolling your eyes, you crossed your arms along your chest the beads scratching your skin the process. Jordan glaring daggers at you.
“Come on, lets go.” You turned to Nick.
“Wait, you’re not staying for lunch?” Jordan’s voice filled with joy.
“That’s perposporous.” Daisy, shrieked gazing at Jordan. “Right, Y/N?”
Smirking, you shook your head. “I, uh, I already told Nick I would hangout with him.” You spoke pointing your thumb towards him. “I completely forgot,” You exageradded your emotions. “Until I ran into him outside….Right, Nick?”
“Hm?” Giving him a gently nudge with your elbow, Nick seemed to catch on. “Oh, uh, yes. We…We already had plans.”
Grinning at him, you nodded your head. Without wating for either woman to give you a response, you turned on your heel and exited the posh restaurant.
Walking down the street, you were beside Nick. “So, what is it you want to do?”
Nick turned to you with furrowed brows. “You were serious?”
“Why wouldn’t I?” You giggled, giving him a warm smile. “I’d rather spend time with you than my sister, you remember how close we were before we moved?”
Grinning, Nick returned your smile. “Yes, I do.”
———
“This is where I live.” Nick spoke, showing you the small cottage he had moved into.
Gazing at it, you felt the coziness of it. “It’s…”
“I know.” He chuckled. “You don’t have to say anything.”
“Hm.” You nodded deciding against any remark.
As you gazed around the property, you saw his neighbor’s house. It was practically a castle, towering over the much smaller house. The castle nearly made Nick’s house look as if it were a shoe box. While you were staring at the house and its many windows, one of the curtains moved as someone had moved to shut it.
“Hey, Nick?” You called, not taking your eyes off the window.
“Yeah?”
“Do you know who your neighbor is?” You questioned feeling as if you knew who the stranger was but couldn’t quite put your finger on it.
“I….I think it’s someone named Gatsby.”
Gasping, your blood turned to ice, as fluttering erupted in your stomach at the mention of the name. Memories flooded your mind. Shaking your head, you furrowed your eyebrows together.
It couldn’t quite possibly be the same Gatsby from all those years ago…..Could it?

Summary: The reader and Brian have a different type of friendship. What happens when the tension is finally too much?
Brian O’Conner Masterlist
Packing your go bag, you knew it was only a matter of time before you got the call. Between knowing your group of friends and watching the news, you could feel in your bones that you would be getting ‘The Call.’
There was never a dull moment with your friends. Whether it’s breaking the law to working with the law, there was no shortage of missions that you were pulled in on.
Placing the strap over your shoulder, you gazed around your apartment. The dreadful feeling of not know if or when you’d be back washed over you. It wasn’t a life or death mission, no. Rather a would you be welcomed back with open arms or have to spend years on the run again.
Your friends weren’t necessarily criminals, just petty theft from L.A. That more often than not seemed to get caught up in the grand scheme of things.
Reaching to turn the light off, you smiled to yourself. Making your way to your car, you put your bag in the trunk before turning the engine on.
Ring. Ring.
Grinning to yourself, you knew this was it. This would be the call. Fluttering erupted in your stomach while adrenaline seeped through your veins.
“Hello?”
There was a chuckle on the other end. “How’ve you been, Y/N?”
Rolling your eyes, the corner of your mouth lifted. “Where’s the mission, Roman?”
“Damn girl, it’s always business with you and no pleasure huh?”
Giggling you shook your head, even though he couldn’t see it. “The location, Roman.”
The sweet melodic tone of his hearty laugh sang through your ears. A sound you had grown to miss. “Brazil.”
“I shouldn’t have expected anything less.” You chuckled. “On my way.”
——
31 hours later.
Pulling into the garage, you noticed that you were the last one to show up. The others had been there for at least a day or two before you. Your heart began beating rapidly as you put it in park and got out of the vehicle.
“Look who finally decided to show up.” Vince’s voice teased, approaching you with open arms.
Grinning, you allowed him to pull you in for a warm hug. “Hey, Vince.” You murmured into his shoulder.
“Long time, no see, kid.” He responded only loud enough for you to hear. One of his hands cradling the back of your head, while the other was wrapped firmly around your waist. Heat blossomed in your chest at his sweet words.
Unwrapping himself from you, he allowed the rest of the team their turn in greeting you. Once they were done, you were faced with Brian. Your relationship with him was different from the others.
Gazing at him, he sent you a toothy smile, before pulling you in for an embrace. One, that nobody else had given you. Wrapping his arms tightly around your waist, he eliminated any remaining space between you. Lacing your arms around his shoulders, slightly nuzzled his neck Brian’s colonge invaded your senses. Standing there, wrapped in him, it was as if you were the only two in the universe. The warmth he radiated causing you to let out a content sigh as a sense of security washed over you.
“I’ve missed you.” He whispered into your hair.
Grinning in his neck, you mumbled a reply.
“If you two love birds are done canoodling, we have a job.” Teji teased.
You didn’t have to see him to know he had a sly smirk upon his lips. Groaning, you relucatantly withdrew yourself from him, feeling of Brian tightenting his arms not going unnoticed.
Standing beside your friends, everyone had their attention on the screen before them. Teji was speaking about the high tech camera’s while Han was pointing out the need for speed. While they were emersed in the problems, Brian stood beside you, every so often he would brush against you causing a smile to appear upon your lips.
“We’re going to need some cars.” Dom spoke, turning to gaze at you and Brian. Nodding your heads, you made your way to your space quickly changing into one of the most skimpiest skin tight dresses you could find, while pairing it with some heels.
Walking out of the room, you instantly felt the eyes of everyone in the room. It didn’t take long for wolf whistles and cheers erupted. Making your way towards the group, you added a little pep in your step.
“My, my, that’s what you’ve been hiding from us all these years?” Roman taughted as his eyes nearly buldged out of his head.
Rolling your eyes, you turned to giselle silently asking for her help with your hair. Before you knew it she appeared behind you, instantly pinning your hear up.
Once it was time to go, Brian stood before you with a tint of pink along his cheeks. Clearing his throat, he reached behind him and scratched his neck while shifting from foot to foot. Gazing at him intently, butterflies erupted in your stomach while a giddiness feeling enveloped you. With your clasped hands in front of your thighs, you tapped them absentmindedly as you figdeted waiting for Brian to say something.
Biting your lip, minutes felt like hours. Brian open and closed his mouth several times in attempt to say something only for the words to disspate on his tongue. Frowning, he let out a defeated sigh. Manuvering towards the car door, he opened it for you. The giddy feeling you had felt was quickly replaced with one of disappointment. Sliding into the car, you muttered a soft ‘thanks,’ before pulling your phone out.
Little did you both know, the rest of the group watched idly by as they held hope either of you would make a move on the other. Once brian opened the door in silence, all hope had been lost as a quiet whine sounded from them.
———
“You guys ready?” Dom questioned grinning to Brian once he pulled into the Rio street race.
“Is that even a question?” You giggled, rolling your eyes. “Come on, boys. Let’s go get us some cars.”
Exiting the car, you gazed around at the comradery. It was similar yet different to the ones in L.A. The slight reminder of where you were and what you were doing gave you a quick wave of homesickness.
“Hey, you okay?” Brian questioned, his expression etched with one of concern.
“Hm? Oh, yeah, I’m fine.” You responded with a grin.
Following the two men, it didn’t go unnoticed that other street racers stared at you. Some having the confidence to catcall you.
Frowning, Brian moved to walk beside you in attempt to shield you from the view of men that were across the isle.
“I can take care of myself.” You rolled your eyes.
“I know, but you shouldn’t have to.” Brian spoke softly causing butterflies to erupt in your stomach.
After some time had passed, the rest of the team showed up ready for the plan. Growing bored, you decided to play with the Brazilan men. Walking away from the group, you made sure to sway your hips with each step adding a slight bounce allowing your breasts to jiggle atop the hem of your dress.
It didn’t take long before a lengthy, broad man caught your hand twirling you to a halt. Lifting your hand to his lips, he placed a kiss to the back of it.
“Voce esta otimo.” He spoke, his husky voice spending tingles throughout your body.
——
“You look great.”
——
“Obrigao.” You grinned, allowing him to place his hands on the small of your waist beginning to tug you into closer proximity.
——
“Thank you.”
——
While he was moving you both, everything seemed to move in slow motion, even though you knew it wasn’t. Pressing your chest against his, your breath hitched in your throat. Leaning down, he nudged the shell of your ear with his nose, gently tracing the outside.
The rough callous hands that belonged to the stranger was quickly replaced by a warm pair. Gasping, you knew who’s they were. Gently yanking you backward, your back collided with a firm chest.
“She’s not interested.” Brian growled at the man.
Chuckling, a toothy grin made it’s way upon his lips. “She sure seemed interested to me.” His accident thick.
Snapping your eyes to the strangers, you sent him a glare. Turning in Brian’s arms slightly, you gazed at him. “Come on, it’s not worth it.”
“No, but you are.”
Fluttering returned in your stomach upon his relevation. The feeling of your blood boiling quickly replacing any happy go lucky feeling you had. Groaning, you removed yourself from the situation with both men.
Stomping away, Brian’s firm hand clasped around your wrist preventing you from retreating any further.
“Y/N, wait-“
Twirling around on your heels, you yanked your wrist free before crossing your arms along your chest.
“You can’t say things like that and not do anything!” You exclaimed frustration taking over.
“Say what?”
Before you could think about it the words slipped passed your lips.
“Say things that make want to kiss you!”
Brians eyes grew wide while his jaw fell slightly. His closed off posture quickly slipping to one of shock.
“Fuck.” You muttered quickly, “Just…Just forget I said anything.”
Turning back around you raced away from Brian as fast as your heels would allow. Leaving a confused Brian in your wake.
