“but it wasn’t that bad”
did it hurt? did you feel scared? unsafe? were you embarrassed? humiliated? terrified? did you feel confused on why? does it keep you up at night? do you avoid being in a similar situation? did you cry? did you want to cry? who told you it wasn’t that bad?
Sometimes we fall back into old thinking patterns that aren’t good for us. And it can be scary to suddenly be there again, but I want to remind you that you are not where you used to be. You have come such a long way, and it being scary is actually a sign of that. It’s okay. Sit with the feelings and thoughts and let them pass. They are a part of your past, not your future. Let them pass like dark skies, and remind yourself how far you have come. You beat them once, you can do it again, and this time you are much stronger. Just because they appear, does not mean they will take hold. Wrap yourself in kindness, compassion and what you have learned, and let them pass, but know that if you feel scared or sad and the like, that it’s okay. You will be okay. 🌸

God, I‘m so fucking irrelevant. I don‘t fucking matter at all. And that shit hurts.
i just want to be someones first choice.
Honestly, I don't even get disappointed anymore.
I'm just like, "ah, again? Ok."
All too true 😔
can we all agree that it feels better to sleep after crying
…and sadly I keep setting myself up for it.
