Appendicitis! Woken up around 2am by a stabbing pain to the mid section almost 3 days ago now. The feeling of someone putting a knife into your gut and twisting it yet the only urge you have is to want to fix it by stabbing the pain with a knife... Like the usual kiwi male any male is I went to work and here is where I spent 5-10 minutes every 5 minutes bent over in a standing fetal position, almost kissing my knees groaning but being sure to hide away from other tradesmen. It all got too much and I would find myself huddled over on the ground in a wardrobe. The drive to the hospital consisted of me hugging the steering wheel and going about 20kmh less than what was recommended. Waikato Hospital and insert pain killers. Iv lived on them and a mouthful of water a few hours at a time for the last 2 days. I am great full though. Although the huddling and pain hasn't gone away it feels more like a push now and some woozy times. Surgery. Nervous. Breathed some gas. Done Still not much sleep. Someone choose Snorlax and not being able to use the toilet is proving difficult not to mention Iv been cut through the abdominal section and can barely walk, talk and eat. I joke that I now know what labour is like. Waikato Hospital though 👌 once moved out of the E.D ward the place and staff have been like home. Spouse I'll keep watching the sun come up now
