✧.*aurora (me): 19 year old college student studying political science with an emphasis on american law. sorority girl, working two jobs, and full time student. in my freshman year of college. im also taking russian and have an interest in russian history and culture. ✧.* c: 34 year old grad student, unfortunately about to graduate. I can't say what class he teaches because it's super super niche and it would be way too easy to find him/me. he's in a relationship and I'm not considering pursuing him at all, I just think he's Neat(TM).

So my running theory is his relationship is on the rocks, probably because he's spent forever in school and has presumably been dragging his partner all over the world for this, and he seems so absorbed in his studies that his relationship has taken the fall. So that's why he doesn't consistently wear his wedding band. I've also noticed he doesn't even wear it around a necklace because I know sometimes people will put it on a chain to avoid it slipping off. But maybe that's why he took his little weekend vacation since the weather is nice and maybe he's feeling rejuvenated after spending some time away from work, but I suspect, as it did before, the ring will come off again in a week or two.

I just think it's very cruel that everything has really aligned for me to meet him; I changed my major just before the term started, his class is a major-specific class and there's no way I could have or would have taken it in my old major. It was pure luck, a literal fluke. And still I think it's the world taunting me that I'm given something so beautiful and amazing but can't even have it.

I was supposed to go to his office hours on Monday to discuss a thing we didn't go over in class but he sent me a long email explaining how he's going on a trip with his partner this weekend and so he doesn't have time to prepare to discuss which on one hand I'm sad bc I was really looking forward to going to his office hours (but he did ask if we can reschedule!) but also I'm like awww weekend getaway that's so romantic. Like yes king take time for yourself you deserve it!
