Van Meter Visitor (2026)
The Van Meter Visitor was described as a three-toed, 9-foot tall creature with bat-like wings which was impervious to gunfire. It was spotted in Van Meter, Iowa and flew into an abandoned coal mine west of the town after disturbing its residents for several days. It could fire beams of bright light from a horn on its head.
I talked to a few of the residents about where the mine was. It’s on a plot of land somebody owns now. One of the residents recalls by word of mouth that it flew up in the head frame of the mine. He motioned with his hands in a zig-zag.
