Story time 🗣 I woke up this morning feeling extremely blessed. Just last year I was working a 9-5. I was miserable because I wasn’t doing what I love. I found that I was working for a paycheck and not out of passion. I would wake up around 5am, drive 2 hours to work, work 8 hours, drive 2 hours back home. When modeling called, I would miss work to model in NYC and go back to work the next day. I was EXHAUSTED and unhappy. As 2018 approached, I knew that I couldn’t go into the New Year with that same energy. In January I quit my 9-5 and started modeling full time. I can’t lie, I was NERVOUS (I mean, who wouldn’t be?!) A million thoughts ran through my mind such as “Am I going to be booked?” and “I hope I don’t end up going broke.” I found that I had to rely solely on god. Turns out, it was one of the best decisions of my life. Not only am I doing what I love each day, but god makes sure that I ALWAYS good. • Now, this is not a story about me encouraging everyone to quit their 9-5 jobs 😂 I just know that when you trust what you love, it will take you where you need to go! Shoutout to all of the graduates (especially those at Howard ☺️ lol) I remember graduating just a year ago and thinking “wow, this is one of the best feelings ever,” I’m sure all of the grads can relate lol. . My BEST advice would be to get ready to step into the next chapter of your life with an open mind and perseverance. You will have to hold yourself accountable and push yourself more than ever now. Trust your journey, wherever it may take you. It’s your time to fulfill your dreams (that some of us always said college is holding us back from lol). Live your best life & do all of the things people said you couldn’t! (at Howard University)
