Hello guys, HallowsWright95 here.
I figured I should let you guys know what I’m currently doing as far as my Jurassic World project is concerned, without further ado lets begin.
1) I am currently completing the Gentle Giants Petting Zoo. All the banners will be up and in place accompanied by the dinosaurs contained within the enclosures. I am going to be landscaping each enclosure to ensure there are trees and grass but also open areas where guests have a prime opportunity to take photographs.
2) As well as the Petting Zoo I am also working on Main Street. I am furnishing buildings and adding the trees and other displays that line the street. Additionally I am also adding the street lamps and other decorative features (although unfortunately not the Spinosaurus).
3) I am also designing, both on paper and in Minecraft, 6 new exhibits to add to the project including Hadrosaur Cove, The Jurassic Jungle, Paleo Park and Dilophosaur Grove.
4) Due to the over scaling of my Isla Nublar map I am currently designing a smaller 1:1 scale map but upon testing the map by importing buildings I discovered that the smaller landscape meant that several buildings looked out of place (i.e.: The angle of the T-Rex Kingdom doesn’t fit the hillside) so for now I am sticking to my larger than real life map but I am unable to make more mountains, forests and plains etc because my iMac is playing up again and won’t let me add more memory to WorldPainter.
5) I am selecting custom trees and Minecraft trees to use in various areas of the island (once I can load the map up in WorldPainter) for example I intend to re-create the Ankylosaur area in the Restricted Section of the island and I need trees that have a thickish canopy but the trunks need to be a good 9-10 blocks away from each other so that an Ankylosaur and and Indominus Rex can manoeuvre through them.
6) Gallimimus Valley - I love the Gallimimus and therefore I find it is only fitting that Gallimimus Valley is the first area of the park I will fully landscape. I intend to build an invisible fence between the valley, Triceratops Territory and Hypsilophodon Highlands. However until then I need a wide range of trees and plants to litter the valley with. !!! EXCLUSIVE ALERT !!! You heard it here first, I plan to have the following species in Gallimimus Valley within the first 2 series of my Jurassic World project:
- Apatosaurus: Mainly near the forest area of the valley.
- Edmontosaurus: Mainly with Parasaurolophus in the river plateau area.
- Parasaurolophus: Same as Edmontosaurus.
- Ornithomimus: Roaming with the Gallimimus.
- Pachyrhinosaurus: Mainly in the forest/bush area of the valley.
- Archaeornithomimus: Mainly in the plains area of the valley.
- Dryosaurus: This small herbivore will reside in the forest/grassland area of the valley with Thescelosaurus.
- Thescelosaurus: Same as Dryosaurus.
There is also enough room for a large herd of 2 more species but I have yet to decide on those species.
7) Monorail and Fences - I am currently designing a fence that will become the border between the Safe Zone and the Restricted Section of the island. I am also designing pieces of monorail track to import with MCEdit, diagonal track, straight track, an interchange in the track so that 2 monorail trains can be at a station at once (given that they are going in opposite directions).
8) Christmas Teaser - I intend to release a Christmas themed trailer for my series/map before the series starts in early 2016 (likely January/February). I have already started planning the trailer by drawing a couple of key frames and looking for some appropriate music (as a media & film student this is second nature to me).
9) Channel logo - I have a few designs for logos and title cards for each episode as well as a series introduction to each episode. I haven’t decided completely yet but I do have my favourites XD
10) Jurassicraft Pre-Release Reviews - As soon as Jurassicraft release the fix for the dino’s dying I will record a mod review.
So that’s it guys, thanks for reading as always and please head over to my YouTube: HallowsWright95 and subscribe and like the videos I have posted and also don’t forget to follow this blog and my other blog WrighTech Industries for all the latest updates.
