Adding onto this with my own observations over time:
Squirebots are not only the biggest threat if used against Knightonia information wise, but like y'all mentioned, they make up a good chunk of the population - more specifically, the WORKING population. All the squirebots we see are built for a purpose, whether it be for engineering, assisting, farming, entertainment, ect. We barely (if ever, I think) see human mechanics or assistants. The only human mechanic we know of is Robin's dad, an unnamed man who's never appeared on screen and isn't even mentioned by Robin in the show. From the very first episode, it's established that squirebots are the guys who fix things and do most of the heavy-lifting. In "The Knight's Code," it's written that squirebots are the ONLY farmers. They are the baseline of ALL food production.
In other words: the squirebots getting brain-yoinked by Monstrox wouldn't just pose an information problem, the whole kingdom would practically fall apart from the ground up. We know human workers who can do their jobs exist, but clearly they're more reliant on the sheer amount of bots at their disposal. It's squirebots who fix the power to the ENTIRE capial in episode 1. That's a hefty job, and if they were "stupid," or deemed incapable, a human mechanic would've definitly stepped in much earlier to take their place.
(Side note: why is the entire power grid of Knightonia reliant on a single box in the joust-dome staying intact? Whoever routed that city needs their liscense revoked.)
Also, we know squirebots aren't really "stupid," more or less. They're shown to be ditzy and clumsy (at least the default ones are), but if they're really carrying Knighton's shoulder like this than clealy they get along just fine in their work. And it's weird sometimes to think about the way they're canonically viewed and treated/talked to in the show, given they're basically people. AI, yes, but capable of humanity.
Dennis gets so stressed with Lance that he quits in a fit of rage, and later he's shown to have romantic feelings towards another squirebot. Haute Fancy is prideful and worrisome, Robot Hoodlum carries a deep concern for the thrown-out bots of Knighton. These robots are capable of emotions, aspirations, and even love. And yet for some reaosn they're still treated as second-class citizens, literally being SHOT FROM CANONS as ammo and thrown out once they're unable to carry out whatever task they were distributed for.
It's like a Detriot Become Human situation.
I like to think season 5 would've addressed this, especially with how they kinda gloss over it in the previous seasons. I mean we get an entire episode about how a bunch of squirebots are getting thrown out willy-nilly, forced to rob people in the woods to survive, and the knights don't really have any commentary on this. They're just like "ah, it be how it be," and offer them a place working on the Fortrex at the end. Hell, the knights THEMSELVES are major contributors to the weird mistreatment of squirebots, shooting them out of cannons only being one example. With knowledge of Lance and Dennis's relationship, we also have these from "The Knight's Code":
I think there's more odd comments in this book but I'm not looking through the entire thing right now. These are just from the section on squirebots, though I think there's a few more scattered around.
In short, at best, season 5 could've been Lego's own DBH plotline, where the knights and kingdom realize just how much they rely on the squirebots and technology, and the squirebots get their own revolution of sorts. It could address the uncomftorable and constant shift between whether or not squirebots are just andriods or robot-people with emotions and aspirations we should care about. A fun little "don't judge those who do the jobs you see as below you" kind of life-lesson wrapped in with all the other plotlines going on.
Or, because this is Nexo Knights, they could've once again made it a joke and glossed over the fact that at any point the entire kingdom of Knighton could crumble into a million pieces if the squirebots ever got fed up with being shot from cannons. Either or
