I'm new to the whole world of f1 but from my understanding

George Russell + Max Verstappen= get along well enough to race but it's obvious they hate each other

Lando Norris + Max Verstappen= good friends, get along well max even gives lando rides on air Max.

so if this understanding of mine is correct then why are so many f1 fans/ max fans not only concerned with his Media comments but his supposed backstabbing of max🤔

I watched Lando and Quadrant before I jumped onto the f1 train so I might be slightly biased but are people forgetting how old these drivers are and the fact they grew up in the digital age.😭 Lando is a troll and he does it well, so well that when he has to be serious his words get used against him (I can't keep defending you). but I also know he says shit in the heat of the moment and then apologizes for it.

all that to say do verstappen fans really believe max wouldn't just start being cold towards Lando the same way he is towards George, the same way he was with Esteban in 2018, Charles in 2019, like c'mon it's max fucking verstappen if he truly cared what Lando was saying he wouldn't still consider him a friend

But for the love can we PLEASE not use AI to ignore and/or edit the reality of a situation? That’s gross. I really really think it’s a very bad idea. And it’s a very slippery slope. If you want to engage with an AU that feels close to reality- there are “canon compliant” fics on AO3. Go nuts, have fun.

But I think it’s really important as a fandom to protest the use of AI for fandom uses. I, for one, don’t want ANY part of that.

I'm sorry but this is not the same person. It's almost uncanny how much Connor Storrie disappears into Ilya Rozanov. I know much has been said about the accent, the quick language acquisition. But to me what's even more fascinating is the way everything about the way he looks changes for the role - his facial expressions, the way he hold himself, all of those little micro expressions. Because cultural differences are not just in the language. A masterclass really, that whole performance. Looking forward to following his long and successful acting career.

And the same goes for this mf who apparently exorcised his true glorious freaky self every morning and slipped into the skin of anxious, repressed good boy Shane. The range. The way everyone was sooo sure nobody would be able to really follow the story of the show because we were sure without Shanes thoughts viewers would be lost? Going back to the ‘I fuck women’ conversation, a few thoughts:

- ilya is coming out to Shane as bisexual, officially. I don’t believe it’s something they’d ever discussed beforehand.

-ilya is also testing the waters and trying to figure out whether Shane was gay or bi or whatever and how likely he’d be to just pack things up and find a girlfriend or a wife or whatever

- he basically confirms that he wants to be exclusive, in an EXTREMELY emotionally stunted obtuse way. He says to Shane that he could find someone new to fuck, but then he looks at him with so much love in his eyes before saying ‘but I’m lazy, so’- meaning that he’s happy with just Shane, their dynamic works for him. He says it so carefully so as not to spook Shane like the fucking skittish racehorse he is 🤡

Succinct and correct and that’s why Ilya is jealous for the first time in his life. We know he’s very sexually free and not possessive at all; until Shane.

Ilya knows he only wants to sleep with Shane now. He’s not quite at the part where he can accept all of what he feels. But he has no reason to believe that he’s anything more than a dirty secret for Shane. One that would cease to matter now he’s got a girlfriend he’s seen out in public with- because as Shane said, he’s private. Being seen with someone means to Ilya that it’s serious, and that fucking hurts. He’s disgusted with how much it hurts.
