"Do you know what? I’ve got an annoying request. I’ve done this before and you get a few eye rolls. Put the phones away, just for this song, what about that? Come on. Let’s live in the moment. I sound like a grandad but here’s Jump The Gun!” - 18.07

Hey have any of you heard of this album “How Did I Get Here” by Louis Tomlinson? I’m really getting into it it’s got pretty good vibes
‘capitalism works’ factoid actually untrue. the 62 people who own half the world’s wealth are outliers and should be eaten.
Absolutely nuts how they made up a number for this satire post and the correction is that reality is *more absurd* than the number they chose
no i’m afraid it’s even worse than that. 62 was correct in 2016 when the original post was made.
i talk about empathy, but i have also hurt people.
i talk about personal growth, but sometimes i repeat the same patterns.
i talk about healing, but sometimes i keep living in the past.
i give positive messages, but sometimes i’m the one who needs them.
i talk about love, but i still carry pain in my heart.
i talk about having a positive mindset, but there are days when everything consumes me.

Okay so to recap: (this is long, I’m a Yapper like Louis lol)
-we bought these early access passes that I thought meant we would get in early? But instead they just kind of put us in a different line? It was kind of a bummer.
-the venue was stunning but sweet baby Jesus H. Christ was it HOT. Multiple people carried out by EMS. The venue did a couple of things to combat the heat like big fans and ice cold water but I’m telling you. It. Was. Sweltering. Pretty sure it was like 35° C+ in there. Insane.
-Picture Parlour was GREAT. Their lead singer has a really cool vibe and they did a great job!
Also The Beaches were SO SO GOOD. And people were JAZZED to see them. People knew all their songs and they did an incredible job in my opinion. About his two openers Ash and I kept joking that “Louis really knows his audience” because everyone had a fantastic time with both opening acts!
-The confetti during Lemonade is an *experience*! Everyone was so excited and dancing around in it. The whole audience had a blast with that part!
-Speaking of Louis’ audience- everyone was SO kind. I had my kiddo with me and people kept giving them high fives and making sure they were okay with the heat and the noise and stuff. One person (very generously) offered to record us while we were singing and dancing. When we were waiting in the line outside people talked to them about their favorite Louis/1D songs and just in general were truly amazing to my child. Which of course made me crazy happy. I love love love our fandom.
-The second Night Changes started playing the place EXPLODED (and we were already hella loud). It was the loudest singing I heard all night. You can take the man out of One Direction, but you cannot take the One Direction out of him. And all of us. 🥰
-The fan projects were SO cool!!! The Dark To Light project went so so well, the Kill My Mind lights looked amazing, and a couple of people were handing out pictures of Louis from all his eras? Super cool. I have three, they gave my kiddo two! (My child is a charmer lol)
-Meeting @cuethetommo was a huge highlight! Always wild to meet people you’ve known for ages online IRL.
-The projector broke during Sunflowers? And then it kept switching off entirely. I don’t think Louis noticed lol but we all kind of chuckled when it happened (a big computer error message came on) Eventually I think they pretty much gave up and stopped using it.
-I know I mentioned how hot it was but I cannot stress it enough. Louis himself commented on it several times, kept fanning himself with his shirt, drank a crap ton of water, etc. I don’t think he was as chatty as he has been at some other shows? Which I’m not upset about, I don’t blame him for it at all. I can’t IMAGINE how much hotter it was under the stage lights. He was still so happy and all smiles and kept pointing at fans/signs and of course gave his lovely speech about how much he cares about all of us and what an impact we’ve had on him and his career. I’ve seen it online, of course, but it HITS in person.
-Speaking of hitting in person, all of these songs go SO hard live. When I had to step out for a second during Face The Music (it was that or pass out lol) the windows in the venue were rattling. There was just so much energy! And of course some moments that made me cry. Obviously Dark to Light. But also Night Changes was weirdly emotional for me too? And I didn’t even realize I was crying as hard as I was during Lucid until @intentionalarry asked me if I was okay. It was just a full circle moment.
-All in all, one of the best nights of my life, hands down, and post concert come down and depression is REAL.
