She resembles strawberries and cream under rolling cumulus and willow. If her eyes squint for long enough, she can rearrange shapes out of the clouds. Sandflies bloated with stranger's blood plot their attack as raindrops leisurely ripple the river. She turns over onto her back, freckled belly dared to the sky, and her hair as red as flame streams into the fresh water like spilled blood. Either side of the banks are a splash-painting of virulent green, miniature waterfalls compliment the scene as though it all belongs inside a geographic magazine. She is joyful today, though sometimes the ocean leaks from her eyes. He absorbs her happiness, breathing it in, feeling it wash through his respiratory system. She is a star of energy and light, she tilts her head back and laughs as her hair cascades around her like flowing lava.

She is a sun catcher — She consumes all of the light, trapping it within the confinements of her walls. Selfish, she keeps all of it to herself and never reveals her secret, not a whisper. He knows when she eats the sun — those are the days the sky turns ashen and cries for all the pain in the world.

⋆  i accept triggering themes, in the context of hurt/comfort genre.

⋆  i don’t write crack, and will not accept any crack requests.

⋆ i prefer writing the characters to how i think they’d respond to scenarios in canon for realistic affect!
